Kylie and Jason’s scenes were the best bit, whether they wanted to overshadow or not. It was just amazing to see those characters in real-time as I’ve only ever seen them in old clips. Seeing them was the best bit, along with all the other past characters returning, and of course the Kennedy’s. I loved the Kennedy’s. Ah, I miss it. Big mistake on channel 5’s part. Like you, I wanted to cry, but didn’t in fear of judgement from family. I should have let them judge haha. I watched it for 30, 31 years. I was 6 or 7 and my mum watched it. She’s not caring about it being over as much as me. I watch Home and Away too, but it’s not the same, especially now that’s all there is to watch soap-wise. I cried all weekend last weekend haha
I think I read a few of the neighbours characters have made a UK/Australia production drama series, you may of seen , Jannie from EastEnders in the first one ,on the BBC with past and present neighbours actors l think last year , and there finished another one a few weeks ago on the same location where neighbours was made , with a few from neighbours and EastEnders in this drama. so it watch for it soon
I completely agree with everything you said. I was, and still am UTTERLY aggrieved 😤 with channel 5 for cancelling Neighbours, that at present I feel I never want to watch anything that channel 5 show again...considering the bulk of their daytime viewing is mind numbingly dire, and mostly repeats anyway. Naturally it all comes down to money! I had a large box of tissues on standby for the whole of the last weeks episodes, and boy did I need them 😭. Susan's closing scene had me in floods it was so poignant. Now I need a tissue again...good job I live on my own. The BFF said to me "well there's always Home and Away"! I raised my eyebrows, a poor second IMHO. But bereft as we all are, it's something we'll have to get used to I suppose, but when you've avidly watched something for 36 years, it comes as a massive jolt. So, that's me done 😢. BTW, does anyone know who the guy with the beard and leather jacket talking to Glen and Malcolm at 8.12 is? I've been rattling my little grey cells...and it hurts! xx
I used to watch h&a way back in the day but haven’t since and don’t plan to, I know it just won’t compare to what we have lost with neighbours. The guy with Glen and Mal is Lucas Fitzgerald the mechanic who owns the garage, played by Scott major who happens to be a main director on the show for the past few years.
I catch H & A occasionally, but It's a poor substitute, and will never make up for losing Neighbours 😡. So that's Lucas Fitzgerald...well I'm blessed. I would never have known as it was such a split second shot. Thanks for clearing that up 👍.
Sorry I hardly watched it since it left BBC so some stories I didn't get and Kylie and Jason was before I started watching but I still cried last week for Kennedy's, Toady, Harold and the Ending Credits so I cannot imagine how you felt.
I was so emotional with the Jane and Mike story. I wanted this for so long
Seeing Hendrix having so much fun with Makenzie just makes me burst into tears 😭😢
I was in tears. Memories of sitting with my mum watching this parading soap
I can believe it, I grew up with neighbours, cried so much, it feels like grief at losing something so staple and familiar. Very sad times

Brilliant reaction Ruby!!! Thank you for communicating my exact sentiments!!!!🌹❤️
Thank you. This week has been rather empty without neighbours! See you in Bham 🙌🏻
@@missrubyred1515 my favourite soap is Prisoner Cell Block H
This is a great video but it’s so hard to rewatch any of it now it hurts too much that it’s gone
Here’s me thinking I was crazy about neighbours and getting all emotional but clearly you’re obsessed with it.
America premiered it on 3 June 1971, putting it six years behind the Aussie telecasts.
I watched neighbours for nearly 28 years so gutted it ended

I firmly believe that the door has been left open for Neighbours to return.......

Where did you get that version of the theme tune right at the start of your video ?
It’s neighbours karaoke version by the couch potatoes 👍🏼
@@missrubyred1515 Oh yes found it thanks. Great for a ringtone I think !
@@digitalmediafan go for it! 😀🙌🏻
I feel sorry for some fans and actors comes to an end yet part of me happy a fan hating hypocrite actor will never return mixed feelings
I'd rather literally any other soap (bar Enders) ended instead
Oh me too
