Uhhh, you should be able to upgrade once you've logged in your details on their website I believe. I'm not sure, but it might not instantly recognize the same account as on is on iOS, while the other is on Windows
I'm not as familiar with the nuances of the laws pertaining to public playing of music in different countries, but I think using Apple Music as a source falls under the same licensing rules that most venues adhere to. The source doesn't matter, as long as you're playing the music in public, you'll need a license. It's not something I'm very well versed on, so best to really check with your local venues haha

Serato dj pro last 10 years. What I’m going to miss most is the tempo match display(not sure real name) above the wave forms in sdj pro. Key for me when quick mixing and adjusting the tempo fader on tracks with live drummers.
@@djcarlo I recently switched over to djay pro and have been really happy with it. Having access to Apple Music will take care of random requests that are worthy of play, that for whatever reason I don’t have. With stems, I find myself using intro edits less frequently, but I don’t think Apple Music will replace Beatsource (at least for me) which admittedly isn’t perfect either. What I love about the Apple Music integration is the ability to make playlist’s and create cue points on your phone that will transfer over to your laptop and tablet. I can get by without cue points in the event of an emergency, but it would definitely slow down my workflow. I really wish you could access your Beatsource folders from djay pro on iPhone. My hope is that either the beatsource catalog grows, or that Apple Music gets a separate dj tiered subscription. I also really like the split library feature on djay pro because I often jump between Beatsource crates and my former serato crates. I really think they’re the future.
Pretty much all streaming services still compatible with DJ software restricts stem isolation. I believe I touched on that here. You'll need the file to be in your computer as a local file for stem analyzation to occur. But if you don't use stems, then Apple Music is still amazing

Uhhh, you should be able to upgrade once you've logged in your details on their website I believe. I'm not sure, but it might not instantly recognize the same account as on is on iOS, while the other is on Windows
@@djcarlo Many thanks for your prompt response… I’ll try that🙂👍
Hey, is it legal to play a commercial set with music from Apple Music via Djay?
I would say so! If your venue has a license, it's legal
@@djcarloisn't Apple Music considered a personal use product? Could you elaborate on that? I wouldn't want to get fined, you know haha
By matching the song key and the tempo i have created new songs using stem seperation of vocals.
its easy. Anybody with a little intrest can do it.
Indeed! This is why I 100% push for mixing in key as much as possible!
Does this program work with pioneer opus quad?
From what I recall no, but that could've changed! Best to check out the Djay Pro website; it should have a list of compatible equipment
Does that mean you have to pay Apple Music forever?
Not necessarily! All the music will just be stored in your Apple Music Cloud.
I am trying to connect this to an opusquad pioneer and the vinils don’t spin on the track
Oh no, what do you mean? Also, I dont think the Opus Quad is compatible with Djay, but i could be wrong
@@djcarlo your right it isn’t. Thanks man. I’m going to find a software that’s like djay and that is compatible
Rekordbox and Serato work on it! VDJ *might* as well
Bro link djay pro unlock features
I can link you to their website, where you can purchase the full Djay software for all the features!
I have queue points on the desktop version but they’re not showing in iOS version. Any idea why? I have paid version and am logged on to my account on both. Can’t figure it out! Help!!!
That's so odd! Is your Desktop a Mac as well?
Yes. I’m using both a MBP M1 and an iPhone 15 Pro Max. Both are logged in to my account and have iCloud active. Nothing ports from Mac to IPhone. And their customer service is non existent. It’s much easier to do in and out points on desktop and just want those to also appear on mobile. Ugh. 😢
Thanks for the video! 👍🏻 Awesome!
For sure! Enjoy the benefits and features Djay Pro's got Patrick!
Im trying to midi map my pads for stems, (Numark mixtrack plat FX) similar to serato, I'm finding that the hardest thing to do on the program, other thatn that, its awesome, especailly the FX with the crossfader
It's not always a walk in the park, but it is definitely worth getting leg work into!
I have 100 Mp3 Songs.. on my Tablet djay, if i Change device its Game Over then.. its not Apple music its file MP3 im gonna lose my cue point, so i have to protect my current device at all cost
Okay, that's fair! Make sure to protect your tracks! However, if you upload those files to your Apple Music account, the files should retain their cue points on other devices
will it tranfer my cue points from my external Drive that i use from VDJ?
Unfortunately, I don't think so. Usually, cue points don't transfer between programs
Once downloaded . had to give some time for DJAY to able to sync files? thanks
I'd say it really depends how fast your internet is, with the cloud storage and everything :)
@@djcarlo it downloads fast but unable to see them on DJAY Source > Local Music. 5.1.2 was just announced let me update to see if it works.
@@bailador64 only Purchased Music will be on your local music
@@bailador64 and remember, only Purchased Music Can be used with Neural Mix™, not streaming.
Neural Mix not available with Apple Music
Yup! It's been covered before I believe, forgot if i mentioned it here. I mentioned that you can't record as well with streamed files, but you can do so with local files, even the ones purchased through Apple Music
@@djcarloYes Sir
btw, got a Hercules Controller, love it!
how much does it all cost
I believe it's $7/month or $50/year for all the features :)
Is it just me or not but whenever I go to my crates I made in serato
When I go to Dj pro it keep asking me to allow access to a file that I don’t have.
That's really odd! What do you mean files that aren't there? 😮
Me literally saw that you can DJ in 'Police Station' 🤣
Wouldn't be my first time!
Is this app compatible with the ddj flx4 on an iPad
Yes! Djay Pro works with the FLX4. It should work with the iPad too, but I've yet to try that. Check out the Algoriddim forums for a few more details! It's been discussed there a lot
Thanks
Ca I use my ddj200 with this app???
Yes you can! Try it out!
Is there a Rekordbox equivalent of this?
Apple Music isn't available for Rekordbox DJ as of the moment, but you can still utilize the Cloud Backup Feature and save your music!
It doesn’t transfer beatsource cue points 😭
Unfortunately, that *is* a limitation. Are you coming from a different software?
@@djcarloserato dj pro. All my other cue points transferred but I’ve used beatsource primarily the last few years.
There are some really cool features I like. I’m sure it will take some time getting used to the workflow.
Serato dj pro last 10 years. What I’m going to miss most is the tempo match display(not sure real name) above the wave forms in sdj pro. Key for me when quick mixing and adjusting the tempo fader on tracks with live drummers.
What about recording your set?)
There are ways to do that too!
Man I may have to make the switch…
Djay Pro has a LOT going for it!
So DJPro is basically like a Serato or Rekordbox?
Most DJs use those software, especially Rekordbox DJ users who utilize USBs!
Is Apple Music free? Am good dj know becouse of my guru and your instructions which make me best 😇
Had a stroke reading this
It's not free, but similar to other streaming services, it's a very small monthly fee for a LOT of music!
@@noweebatall5520 sheees why🥱
@@djcarlo okay thank you soo much i wana do more better ❤️🤗
Apple music online is working on Djay Pro
Yes it does! You can stream from Apple Music. I think I mentioned that here in the video 🥳
this wil be the future... some people wont accept
As always! There's always misgivings about things that shock the status quo, but the silent majority always pick up on 'em!
did the djay with ddj 400 last night was flawless all u need is to prepare your tracks on your phone offline songs will do naman@@djcarlo
What djay My traktor
Djay is another great DJ program! Highly worth checking out
Apple restricts instrument and vocal isolation completely. Why would anyone choose Apple Music when you can’t do this?
Pretty much all streaming services still compatible with DJ software restricts stem isolation. I believe I touched on that here. You'll need the file to be in your computer as a local file for stem analyzation to occur. But if you don't use stems, then Apple Music is still amazing
@@djcarloYou can use stems on Tidal
So I won’t subscribe to Apple Music for that reason
That's fair haha
There is no problem 😌
You've never had your music lost or been unable to access your DJ tracks in an emergency?
@@AlexbongoKurban and if you accidentally deleted or you delete it, you can always go back into hidden purchases, and find your music there.
Very nice! We'd like to feature your music on our music blog!
That's awesome! Send me an email about it djcarloatendido@gmail.com
Its not a game changer it’s a money maker
It can earn you money if you make use of all its features to elevate your sets and get more clients! Hahaha
What
What are you referring to? Haha
That's what beatport and DJ studio does.
Apple just does it so much better and faster from my experience. The ability to download your OWN DJ library and even stream it changed how I approachec backing up!
@@djcarlo out of the topic, does crateconnect and dj city allow you to download wav file?
@@djcarlohave you seen the new update from DJ studio? All music you bought from beatport you can see it on DJ studio and mix it. They have Spotify and apple too but my account is not linked to DJ studio because I don't use them to buy music but I believe all tracks from apple is there ready for you to mix. I actually prefer beatport for my music. I don't like apple because they are greedy all their products are way over priced
You lost me at Apple 😬
Still a great feature that's accessible to so many DJs!
You’d be surprised how much Apple has. I just wish they would get their genres right. When I search on Beatport, or other DJ music poles, I find a lot of music It’s on their sites, is on Apple as well.
❤❤
Gotta show a lot of love for this software!

Woohoo! You excited to try out Djay?
I love Djay Pro, Apple music however is awful so you lost me there!
Oh, why so? I found it pretty amazing!
no way bro no way bro not Apple Music i this i that 😂😂i heat apple more a sony guy myself and windows so no mate

Cant use neural mix so whats the fucking point im trying to evolve as a DJ not be stagnant and use the same shit as the past 40 years
You can use Neural Mix with your tracks download to the local source! Currently no streaming platform offers stem mixing due to copy right :(
Man why can’t it just be YT music 😔
Who knows? I'm just glad we got a pretty solid one in Apple Music. The full integration is amazing
I stoped using Apple Music. They are too intrusive with your music. I have many CD’s that I uploaded into iTunes and now have become DRM protected and cannot play on third party audio apps including DJ pro.
Awww man. Had no idea! Thanks for sharing!
