  • Will Rogers Jr. visited his home town in July 1988 to participate in the Beverly Hills Diamond Jubilee anniversary celebration and sat down with Phyllis Lerner, the President of the Beverly Hills Historical Society, in the park named after his famous father, and talked about Will Rogers and what life was like for his family, and their famous friends, while growing up in Beverly Hills.

Our family treasures a polo ball my mom got signed by Will Rogers, his son Will Jr., and the rest of the polo team. She thought they were gracious and fun too!

I visited his dad's ranch around this time as a kid, it was great. I didn't know much about WW2 yet and that my grandfather served in the 7th Armored division with Will Jr. He was interviewed about it in the 1906s by the US Army for a Film Project that can be found here on YT called "The Big Picture - Battle of St Vith" and is worth watching. Task Force Jones achieved the impossible, which was surviving. They received a Presidential Unit Citation for their contribution, which included great sacrifice. Cheers!

The Phyllis doing the interview sure looks a lot like the Phyllis that use to be on the 'Match Game' back in the day.

Just watched the 1952 movie of his dad’s life. The living room swing made the film. Now I’m curious if the real house was used as the set.

      Dear Lindz Kemper:
That is an incredible honour. I do not know if you are in Los Angeles, though it would be excellent to frequent lunch with you in Beverly Hills. I am a creative individual, and I am very open to collaborating on any valuable projects. It should be a win-win that we both feel good about, of course.
Best wishes to you, dear Lindz Kemper.
      Warmly,
      Tyler Lord Hamilton
