I am here because Will Rogers introduced my great grandparents to one another. He asked his neighbor, Marcellus Baker to ride over to the school to visit his sister who was teaching there. My Great grandmother, Eliza Jane Smith was attending and living at the school after her parents had passed. Marce and Eliza married on 1 Jan. 1890.
This was such a wonderful reminder, my grandparents used to take me to this museum every year, and I would go hoping they would do a movie in the small movie room. The last one I remember was Shirly temple and will rogers. I am glad this museum is still open. My grandparents loved this man and respected him so much we went there yearly.
