St. Padre Pio, while traveling on a train was asked by someone sitting across from him, who obviously was not a believing Christian, asked St. Padre Pio: "HOW DO YOU KNOW THERE IS A HELL?" St. Padre Pio answered the man and said: "YOU WILL KNOW IT WHEN YOU GET THERE"!!! The same holds true for those who don't believe in Purgatory; YOU WILL KNOW IT WHEN YOU GET THERE. That is, if you are blessed enough to make it that far. St. Terese of the Child Jesus told another nun, who was convinced and scared that she would go to Purgatory, that you can AVOID PURGATORY ALTOGETHER if you "FULLY TRUST IN GOD'S MERCY."
Amen, I have had a recent nudge from the Holy Spirit to begin praying actively for the dead. I have been doing litany of purgatory, divine mercy , rosary, and masses im devoting to people I become aware of who have passed. our God's mercy is wonderful 🙏
@TheFaithchurch14 you will be rewarded when you meet those in person who you prayed for in heaven. They will be full of thankfulness and love to you. Please do not stop. It is helping your soul.
Thank you Fra Daniele. I have always been curious about Purgatory. I attend Mass at the Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside. Blessings to you and for letting us know.
Thank you so much. May we always pray for each other. May we ardently offer a Holy Sacrifice of a Mass for the eternal repose of the souls of our departed loved ones.
Where is Jesus in your Life. Do you Know him? why he came and Died? Gods grace? the meaning of the Torn Curtain in the Temple?? JESUS alone is to be Prayed To he alone Intercedes Nothing else. Jesus words Read them.. or listen to Satan and deceiving ways
@beagle5 : When protestants claim that nobody can intercede for you except Jesus Then they quote 1 Timothy 2: 5 For there is only one God, and there is only one mediator between God and humanity, himself a human being, Christ Jesus. By their claims, nobody can pray for them on this earth either! What this really means is: Jesus is the mediator of a new covenant, we don't need the old testament priest to offer sacrifice anymore because Jesus offered his sacrifice once & for all as it says in Hebrews 9:27-28 27). Since human beings die only once, after which comes judgement, 28). so Christ too, having offered himself only once to bear the sin of many, will manifest himself a second time, sin being no more, to those who are waiting for him, to bring them salvation. 1 Timothy 2: 1 I urge then, first of all that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving should be offered for everyone, So Paul is urging everyone to make intercession for one another. Jesus is not the only one making intercession. Likewise, Mary and the saints can go to Jesus and bring our prayers to Jesus to take them to the father. Jesus is more likely to listen to the the intercession of the saints because they are sinless and in heaven already.
@beagle5 : John 14:6 Jesus said: I am the Way; I am Truth and Life. No one can come to the Father except through me. When speaking of salvation, Jesus offered more details than just his words quoted above. For example, consider these three verses: (Mark 16:16) He who believes and is baptized will be saved. (Luke 13:3) Unless you repent you will all likewise perish. (John 6:54) He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. Notice that in these three verses Jesus associated salvation with baptism, confession, and the Eucharist, respectively. Catholics recognise that these sacraments are administered through the Church. In fact, in the case of the latter two, a validly ordained priest is necessary for their administration, so the sacrament of ordination must also be associated with salvation. A primary role of the Catholic Church in conjunction with salvation is becoming quite clear.
@@marionmarcetic7287 there is no Purgatory.... we have ALL the 'chances' afforded to us while we live. Luke ch16 and Hebrews 9:27 are very clear doctrinal statements
@@thebible-ourpointofreferen9102 Bless you , for knowing the words of Jesus... Also they do not test these spirits and alike . As and When they appear... they ignore the words of the Living God 1 John 4 verses 1 to 6... Who ever their gods are they are Not of the Living Jesus.
@thebible-ourpointofreferen9102 : Purgatory Jesus' transfiguration Luke 9:28-31 28 Now about eight days after this had been said, he took with him Peter, John and James and went up the mountain to pray. 29 And it happened that, as he was praying, the aspect of his face was changed and his clothing became sparkling white. 30 And suddenly there were two men talking to him; they were Moses and Elijah 31 appearing in glory, and they were speaking of his passing which he was to accomplish in Jerusalem. We know Moses died, and he couldn't have come from heaven because at that stage Jesus hadn't died, and he couldn't have come from hell, because nobody gets out of hell, therefore there must be a place between, could it be the place that Jesus talks about in the parable of Lazarus & the rich man (Luke 16:19-30) 19 There was a rich man who used to dress in purple and fine linen and feast magnificently every day. 20 And at his gate there used to lie a poor man called Lazarus, covered with sores, 21 who longed to fill himself with what fell from the rich man's table. Even dogs came and licked his sores. 22 Now it happened that the poor man died and was carried away by the angels into Abraham's embrace. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 'In his torment in Hades he looked up and saw Abraham a long way off with Lazarus in his embrace. 24 So he cried out, "Father Abraham, pity me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in agony in these flames." 25 Abraham said, "My son, remember that during your life you had your fill of good things, just as Lazarus his fill of bad. Now he is being comforted here while you are in agony. 26 But that is not all: between us and you a great gulf has been fixed, to prevent those who want to cross from our side to yours or from your side to ours." 27 'So he said, "Father, I beg you then to send Lazarus to my father's house, 28 since I have five brothers, to give them warning so that they do not come to this place of torment too." 29 Abraham said, "They have Moses and the prophets, let them listen to them." 30 The rich man replied, "Ah no, father Abraham, but if someone comes to them from the dead, they will repent." (Matthew 5:25-26). 25 Make friends quickly with your accuser, while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison; 26 truly I say to you, you will never get out till you have paid the last penny. Matthew 12:32 , 32 And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.” Here Jesus speaks of sin against the Holy Spirit. The implication is that some sins can be forgiven in the world to come. We know that in Hell there is no liberation and in Heaven nothing imperfect can enter it as we see in the next part. Sin is not forgiven when a soul reaches its final destination because in heaven there is no need for forgiveness of sin and in hell the choice to go there is already made. Revelation 21:27 (God tells us that nothing imperfect can enter into heaven) 27but nothing unclean will enter it, nor anyone who does abominable things or tells lies.” The place that is to be entered (the place to which this passage refers) is heaven (read the text around it for context). The Bible clearly implies a place for an intermediate state of purification after we die in the many passages which tell that God will reward or punish according to a person’s life. 1 Peter 3:18-19 (Especially note 19) 18). Christ himself died once and for all for sins, the upright for the sake of the guilty, to lead us to God. In the body he was put to death, in the spirit he was raised to life, 19). and, in the spirit, he went to preach to the spirits in prison. The prison would be purgatory, because there's no point in preaching to people in Hell; because they will never get out. Ponder the following example. Imagine a Christian man, justified by the Lord, loses his temper and yells at his next door neighbours for letting their dog dig a hole in his yard. We can see that the man treated his neighbours rudely, albeit the neighbour’s behavior was also reprehensible. His actions would be considered a light sin (called venial sins by the Catholic Church). It’s not of the same moral weight as theft or murder, but it’s still a sin. After shouting at the neighbours, with all the anger and stress in his body the man walks into his house, has a heart attack, and dies having just committed a small sin in the final moments of his life. Remember, this man is Christian and justified by the Lord, yet has committed a sin. Does he go to heaven or does he go to hell? Are all sins created equal? No, all sins are not equal and even justified men of the Lord can make mistakes and sin. If purgatory didn’t exist, the man would go to hell for his small sin. God’s mercy is so great and our God is a just God that it seems unfathomable that he would condemn a justified man to hell for a small, yet unrepented sin. The man’s soul is dirty. His actions have defiled his soul, but not the point where he has cut himself off from God. Only mortal sins cut off a person from God’s grace. So, the man, having been justified by the Lord, is destined for heaven, yet his soul is defiled by his sin (Matthew 12:36, 15:18). His soul is in need of cleansing because nothing defiled can enter heaven. This is the purpose of purgatory. Out of mercy and love God sends the man through purgatory on his way to heaven so that his soul can be purified to be able to join God in heaven. Remember, purgatory is not a second chance for conversion; the man is already justified. If there is no place of intermediate state of purification, the man would be damned to hell! Who would be saved? Those who teach against purgatory teach an unreasonable doctrine. 1 Corinthians 3:9-15 9 After all, we do share in God's work; you are God's farm, God's building. 10 By the grace of God which was given to me, I laid the foundations like a trained master-builder, and someone else is building on them. Now each one must be careful how he does the building. 11 For nobody can lay down any other foundation than the one which is there already, namely Jesus Christ. 12 On this foundation, different people may build in gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay or straw 13 but each person's handiwork will be shown for what it is. The Day which dawns in fire will make it clear and the fire itself will test the quality of each person's work. 14 The one whose work stands up to it will be given his wages; 15 the one whose work is burnt down will suffer the loss of it, though he himself will be saved; he will be saved as someone might expect to be saved from a fire. This passage speaks of the believer being refined by fire. It is a clear indication of a refining place, purgatory.
@thebible-ourpointofreferen9102 : God is outside of time Luke 9:27 'I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.' This is not about the end of the world, for “the kingdom of God is in the midst of you” (Luke 17:21), and some of Jesus’ disciples were about to see it manifested in a powerful way. In each Synoptic Gospel (Matthew, Mark, and Luke), the Transfiguration immediately follows Jesus’ announcement (Matt. 17:1-9; Mark 9:2-10; Luke 9:28-36). Jesus takes three of the disciples-Peter, James, and John-up a mountain. His clothing becomes dazzlingly bright, Moses and Elijah appear beside him, everyone is enveloped in a cloud, and God the Father speaks from heaven, identifying Jesus as his Son and his Chosen, and declaring, “Hear him!” This manifestation is the coming of the kingdom “with power” that Jesus referred to, and the text of each Gospel suggests that this is the way the evangelists understood it. Not only does the Transfiguration happen right after the announcement, but each Gospel says it was about a week later (Matt. 17:1, Mark 9:1, Luke 9:28-the slight difference in the number of days may reflect reckoning parts of days as wholes and counting days as beginning at sunset, midnight, or dawn). Peter, James, and John thus were the three who did not taste death before they saw the kingdom coming with power Luke 23: 42-43 concerning the thief on the cross: 42). Then he said, 'Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.' 43). He answered him, 'In truth I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.' The Greek manuscripts containing Jesus’ words do not contain punctuation, so it is not certain where commas should be placed. Consider this possibility: “Truly, I say to you today, you will be with me in paradise.”
@beagle5 : Every Protestant Christian sect was founded by men who wanted a religion based on their own will instead of the Will of God. Hence, the title “Protest(ant)”. Meaning, they chose to follow Satan’s pride-centered, example when he infamously stated “I will not serve”.
Keep the Faith. Most of us will spend some time in purgatory since we cannot go to heaven with any stain on our souls. That's why God created purgatory out of love for His creatures. Purgatory is one step away from Heaven. Its sad that Protestants believe they are going straight to heaven when they die.

No one dies without sin, whether it is the sin of commissions or omissions. But purgatory is not a destination. It is a place where our souls are made perfect because Revelation tells us that nothing unclean enters the Kingdom of God. Nevertheless, He is so merciful. He gave us the Sacraments (Baptism, Confession, Eucharist, & Anointing) where His mercy and grace abound and flow. So as Catholics, though we will die as sinners, we can hope in God merciful love. We hope in God. Jesus says, "Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved." Jesus says, "Whose sins you forgive are forgiven. Whose sins you withhold are retained." Jesus says, "If you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you shall have eternal life, and I will raise you in the last day."

This belief is rooted in Scripture and Tradition. For instance, 2 Maccabees 12:45 speaks of prayers for the dead, suggesting an intermediate state where such prayers are beneficial. Additionally, 1 Corinthians 3:15 mentions being saved, yet 'as through fire,' which the Church interprets as a reference to purgatory.
@theProfessor1379 : Faith without works You are not saved by faith alone, but! by works of love. John 8:51 51 In all truth I tell you, whoever keeps my word will never see death. How do you keep Jesus' word? By doing what he asks of us! James 2:14-26 14) How does it help, my brothers, when someone who has never done a single good act claims to have faith? Will that faith bring salvation? 15) If one of the brothers or one of the sisters is in need of clothes and has not enough food to live on, 16) and one of you says to them, 'I wish you well; keep yourself warm and eat plenty,' without giving them these bare necessities of life, then what good is that? 17) In the same way faith, if good deeds do not go with it, is quite dead. 18) But someone may say: So you have faith and I have good deeds? Show me this faith of yours without deeds, then! It is by my deeds that I will show you my faith. 19) You believe in the one God -- that is creditable enough, but even the demons have the same belief, and they tremble with fear. 20) Fool! Would you not like to know that faith without deeds is useless? 21) Was not Abraham our father justified by his deed, because he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22) So you can see that his faith was working together with his deeds; his faith became perfect by what he did. 23) In this way the scripture was fulfilled: Abraham put his faith in God, and this was considered as making him upright; and he received the name 'friend of God'. 24) You see now that it is by deeds, and not only by believing, that someone is justified. 25) There is another example of the same kind: Rahab the prostitute, was she not justified by her deeds because she welcomed the messengers and showed them a different way to leave? 26 As a body without a spirit is dead, so is faith without deeds. Jeremiah 17: 10 I, Yahweh, search the heart, test the motives, to give each person what his conduct and actions deserve. Matthew 5:16 In the same way your light must shine in people's sight, so that, seeing your good works, they may give praise to your Father in heaven. Matthew 6: 14 if you forgive others their failings, your heavenly Father will forgive you yours; Matthew 6:15 but if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive your failings either. Matthew 7:21 21 'It is not anyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," who will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but the person who does the will of my Father in heaven. Matthew 7:24 Therefore, everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on rock. Matthew 7:26 But everyone who listens to these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a stupid man who built his house on sand. Matthew 7:27 Rain came down, floods rose, gales blew and struck that house, and it fell; and what a fall it had!’ Matthew 16: 27 'For the Son of man is going to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will reward each one according to his behaviour. Matthew 25: 34-40 34 Then the King will say to those on his right hand, "Come, you whom my Father has blessed, take as your heritage the kingdom prepared for you since the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you made me welcome, 36 lacking clothes and you clothed me, sick and you visited me, in prison and you came to see me." 37 Then the upright will say to him in reply, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and make you welcome, lacking clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we find you sick or in prison and go to see you?" 40 And the King will answer, "In truth I tell you, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me.” Matthew 25:42-46 (faith without works) 42) For I was hungry and you never gave me food, I was thirsty and you never gave me anything to drink, 43) I was a stranger and you never made me welcome, lacking clothes and you never clothed me, sick and in prison and you never visited me." 44). Then it will be their turn to ask, "Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty, a stranger or lacking clothes, sick or in prison, and did not come to your help?" 45). Then he will answer, "In truth I tell you, in so far as you neglected to do this to one of the least of these, you neglected to do it to me." 46). And they will go away to eternal punishment, and the upright to eternal life.’ ROMANS 2:6 He will repay everyone as their deeds deserve. PHILIPPIANS 2:12 So, my dear friends, you have always been obedient; your obedience must not be limited to times when I am present. Now that I am absent it must be more in evidence, so work out your salvation in fear and trembling. Romans 2:7 (Proof of the need for works) 7 For those who aimed for glory and honour and immortality by persevering in doing good, there will be eternal life. 1 Peter 2:12 Always behave honourable among pagans, so that they can see your good works for themselves. Revelation 14:13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say to me, 'Write down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord! Blessed indeed, the Spirit says; now they can rest for ever after their work, since their good deeds go with them.' (The deeds are what people carry with them to God's judgement). You can lose your salvation by: being unrepentant & harbouring unforgiveness. An unrepentant person knows that he or she has sinned and refuses to ask God for forgiveness or turn away from the sin. The unrepentant show no remorse for their wrongdoing and don’t feel the need to change. Unrepentance is the sin of willfully remaining sinful. Revelation 20:12 I saw the dead, great and small alike, standing in front of his throne to while the books lay open. And another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged from what was written in the books, as their deeds deserved. Mark 11:25 And when you stand in prayer, forgive whatever you have against anybody, so your Father in heaven may forgive your failings too.' Exodus 32:33, Yahweh said to Moses, 'Those who have sinned against me are the ones I shall blot out of my book. Hebrews 12: 14 Seek peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one can ever see the Lord. John 15: 6 Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a branch -- and withers; these branches are collected and thrown on the fire and are burnt. 1 John 3: 16-18 16). This is the proof of love, that he laid down his life for us, and we too ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. 17). If anyone is well-off in worldly possessions and sees his brother in need but closes his heart to him, how can the love of God be remaining in him? 18). Children, our love must be not just words or mere talk, but something active and genuine. 1 John 4:20 Anyone who says 'I love God' and hates his brother, is a liar, since whoever does not love the brother whom he can see cannot love God whom he has not seen. TITUS 3:14 All our people must also learn to occupy themselves in doing good works for their practical needs, and not to be unproductive. EPHESIANS 2:10 We are God's work of art, created in Christ Jesus for the good works which God has already designated to make up our way of life.

That's nothing! I returned from the dead after 11 years! I accidentally cut my head off with my chainsaw 11 years ago while cutting firewood. While I was headless in my coffin my spirit often left the grave and wafted around. Sometimes for days! I remember wafting over the UK and Ireland, Norway, parts of France and Australia. Each time I returned to my coffin, (which by now was showing signs of decay after 11 years) I seemed to slip into a deep sleep. All true.
If you have been saved, and your sins are covered by Jesus, you are not going to purgatory because your sins have been paid for. If you haven't been saved, you are going to hell. There is no in between
@PhoenixAscending: Once saved always saved is a lie from Hell When Jesus said on the cross "it is finished" he was talking about redemption NOT! Sanctification. Sanctification meaning: the process of being made holy by God. This process begins at baptism, where the love of God is infused by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). Through baptism, a person is “set apart” or “made holy” (Latin: sanctus), initiating their journey towards spiritual growth and union with God. sanctification is a continuous process, guided by the Holy Spirit, and facilitated through prayer, the sacraments, and a commitment to living a virtuous life Repentance and conversion is a choice that we make daily. Jesus says what he means and means what he says. Matthew 6:-9-15 9) So you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be held holy, 10) your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. 11) Give us today our daily bread. 12) And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven those who are in debt to us. 13) And do not put us to the test, but save us from the Evil One. 14) 'Yes, if you forgive others their failings, your heavenly Father will forgive you yours; 15) but if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive your failings either. So according to Jesus, a condition for having our sins forgiven is that we forgive others. If the condition was not met, the individual would not be forgiven of their sins, So, if all our future sins were already forgiven initially when we first came into a saving relationship with Christ, then this command of Christ to ask God to forgive us on condition that we forgive others throughout the Christian life, would be unintelligible. It would not make sense. So, that Jesus gives us the command to pray this prayer throughout the Christian life entails that we need to have our sins forgiven throughout the Christian life as we sin. We need to pray this prayer continuously throughout the Christian life, because we continuously are faced with temptation. And in the moment we need the help of God. We also pray deliver us from evil. Once again, an ongoing prayer that we pray throughout the Christian life. It’s within this context that we need to ask for God’s forgiveness of our sins on condition that we forgive others implying that this is something we ask and request throughout the Christian life. Matthew 7:22-23 22). When the day comes many will say to me, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name, work many miracles in your name?" 23). Then I shall tell them to their faces: I have never known you; away from me, all evil doers! Matthew 12:37 37) By your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned. Our acceptance of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross does not abdicate our responsibility live the Gospel. Salvation is not assured. Salvation is not by faith alone for the Bible says that we will be held accountable by our words and that much will be entrusted to us! Nowhere in the Bible does it say salvation is by faith alone. This teaching is un-Scriptural. James 2:14 14). How does it help, my brothers, when someone who has never done a single good act claims to have faith? Will that faith bring salvation? If we accept Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, confess him as Lord, yet commit bad actions, God judges accordingly. James 2:26 26). As a body without a spirit is dead, so is faith without deeds. Accepting Jesus is only the first step in a journey of faith. Living that faith is the rest of the journey. Paul understood this when he instructs the Philipians (2:12) to work out their salvation with fear and trembling. If he believed that salvation was a sure thing through faith alone he would not direct them to work out their salvation because he would be able to assure them of their place in heaven. Luke 6:46 46). 'Why do you call me, "Lord, Lord" and not do what I say? Luke 6: 49 49). But someone who listens and does nothing is like the man who built a house on soil, with no foundations; as soon as the river bore down on it, it collapsed; and what a ruin that house became!' Luke 9:23 Then, speaking to all, he said, 'If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross every day and follow me. Luke 16:19-30 The story of Lazarus and the rich man shows us that the rich man went to hell for refusing to help Lazarus who was poor and hungry. (He refused to do good works) You can lose your salvation 2 Peter 2:20-22 20) and anyone who has escaped the pollution of the world by coming to know our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and who then allows himself to be entangled and mastered by it a second time, ends up by being worse than he was before. 21) It would have been better for them never to have learnt the way of uprightness, than to learn it and then desert the holy commandment that was entrusted to them. 22) What they have done is exactly as the proverb rightly says: The dog goes back to its vomit and: As soon as the sow has been washed, it wallows in the mud. Ezekiel 18:24-26 24) 'But if the upright abandons uprightness and does wrong by copying all the loathsome practices of the wicked, is he to live? All his upright actions will be forgotten from then on; for the infidelity of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, he will most certainly die. 25) 'Now, you say, "What the Lord does is unjust." Now listen, House of Israel: is what I do unjust? Is it not what you do that is unjust? 26) When the upright abandons uprightness and does wrong and dies, he dies because of the wrong which he himself has done. Hebrews 10: 26 26) If, after we have been given knowledge of the truth, we should deliberately commit any sins, then there is no longer any sacrifice for them. Romans 11: 22 22) Remember God's severity as well as his goodness: his severity to those who fell, and his goodness to you as long as you persevere in it; if not, you too will be cut off. 1 Corinthians 9:27 I punish my body and bring it under control, to avoid any risk that, having acted as herald for others, I myself may be disqualified. 2 Corinthians 5: 10 For at the judgement seat of Christ we are all to be seen for what we are, so that each of us may receive what he has deserved in the body, matched to whatever he has done, good or bad.
Jesus never talks about the so called purgatory but heaven and hell , the Bible never mentioned it not even once, so where is this coming from? Jesus said his sheep hears his voice and no other voice they will follow.
Well only a few folks die in a clear state. Most of us still have areas that need purifying yet we are saved . The lord prepares us in our souls to enter heaven. A bit like say you are going to visit the leader or king /queen of your country. You had a rough journey , maybe fell into a muddy ditch or two etc etc. You turn up bedraggled needing a wash. The king loves you knows you but you still would like ( and in His love he knows you would like)to freshen up a bit, maybe a shower before being brought into his presence. Might take abit of scrubbing etc but in the end you feel ready and good in yourself.. Common sense really, the way we are made. But common sense isn’t very common these days :).
Thanks for your inquiry. Search for 2 Machabees 12:46, which was expunged from the OT after Martin Luther protested against the Catholic (Universal) Church. You can actually find the books removed from the Bible in Protestant Bibles with the Apocryphal. In 2 Machabees, it is written: "It is therefore a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from sins." Something to ponder. Nothing impure will enter into Heaven. So why pray for deceased members of mankind? Blessings!
@paulaudialterampartem6906 The idea of purgatory being necessary really only makes sense where a person's own righteousness is regarded as the righteousness which justifies a person before God. In this situation if a person dies in a state of imperfect righteousness he has to undergo a period of purgation and cleansing to be fit to enter heaven. In Biblical Christianity on the other hand, where the righteousness which saves a person is Christ’s righteousness credited to him through faith alone, there's no need for a purgatory to exist as God views Christians as perfectly righteous through the imputation of Christ’s righteousness. A Christian’s own righteousness is incapable of justifying him since it's impure through the sinful inclination of his lower nature which Paul refers to as the flesh. Only Christ's perfect righteousness is capable of justifying a person.
@@Edward-ng8oo Luke12.35-48. 4 servants receive their due from the master. One is saved one is lost and 2 receive temporary punishment. After we repent Jesus expects us to serve Him. Lazy careless servants are purified before entering Heaven. We must live in gratitude to God by loving God and neighbor.
@danielwhite656: obviously you haven't read the Bible! Purgatory Jesus' transfiguration Luke 9:28-31 28 Now about eight days after this had been said, he took with him Peter, John and James and went up the mountain to pray.
@danielwhite656 : God is outside of time Luke 9:27 'I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.' This is not about the end of the world, for “the kingdom of God is in the midst of you” (Luke 17:21), and some of Jesus’ disciples were about to see it manifested in a powerful way.
Purgatory is a place to pay for your sins? So Catholics bypass Jesus, they either live such pure lives they earn their way to heaven or they pay for their sins in purgatory before going to heaven? Where does Jesus fit in?
@raukawa4732 The Catholic Church believes that Jesus taught the existence of purgatory in the Bible, and that purgatory is a temporary state in the afterlife where ppl pay for their sins before going to heaven. In Matthew 12:32 Jesus refers to temporary prison where ppl pay for their sins before going on to heaven. Luke 12:58 - 59 Jesus compares the afterlife as a prison where ppl must pay their debts before being released.

@charlottebeseke5596 : Once saved always saved is a lie from Hell When Jesus said on the cross "it is finished" he was talking about redemption NOT! I've discussed this topic of purgatory with my born again friends and family.... many times. We NEVER come to an agreement which I respond to, it's ok to disagree. I simply tell them I will NOT push my Catholicism if they don't push their born again on me. Never fails, they continue to push which becomes an annoyance. I also say we have one major belief in common and that's we all believe in Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. Shalom ♥️🙏🏼♥️
Because you reading the wrong Bible.... The fake Bible... Protestant bibles are 7 books short because Martin Luther removed all books relating to purgatory... So you been conned 😂😂😂. Read the true Bible my friend not the fake Bible printed by Martin Luther 1500 years after the real Bible was put together by the Catholics in 384 AD So sorry you were misled all these years... YOUR PASTORS LIED TO YOU.
Neither does it teach on the Trinity, neither does it mention the word Bible. Where do you get the myth that everything has to be in the Bible? Acts 20:35 - Paul relies on the oral tradition of the apostles for this statement (“it is better to give than to receive”) of Jesus. It is not recorded in the Gospels.
Jesus said, "I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny". What do you think he was talking about? He was not talking about a human court of law or any human judge, but about Himself and his law court. He was talking about a place, or as he says "a prison", wherein true justice would be fully served if we have not made sufficient restitution by the end of this life. So be sure you do! That is the message, and that is how the Church of Christ, the Catholic Church, has rightly interpreted it for 2000 years. There are other passages like this that refer to a state of purification after death. But if one passage is not sufficient, neither will many be. The bible doesn't teach "Trinity" either, but the doctrine is in there. Just because the word "purgatory" is not in the bible, it doesn't mean the doctrine is not. The Bible teaches the "church is the pillar and bulwark of truth" and "the gates (ie, the mouth, or lies) of hell will NEVER overcome it." Protestants take a minimalist approach to how they interpret the bible. Picking and choose the parts they like and rejecting the parts they don't. Like when Jesus says in John 6, "unless you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood you have no life in you" (meaning divine life, life in God). This is a clear and literal reference to the Eucharist that Jesus would give his church at the last super, his body and blood, which he commanded us to eat and drink. But protestants decide to ignore all this, as if not important. Maybe your making a big mistake? And are you really taking ALL of God's Word seriously? Moreover, all the protestants sects and group all interpret the bible differently from each other, so how do we know who is right? Protestantism is endless division (about 30,000 denominations?). Whereas, Christ did not want division, so he established an authority structure in his church on Peter and the 12 apostles. Christ said "Those who listen to you, listen to me, those who reject you, reject me." The Apostles then clearly ordained bishops, presbyters and deacons. All of these ministries clearly revealed in the bible. And yet, most protestants church do not have these ministries. How can they claim to be a biblical church when they lack ministries specifically mentioned in the bible? None of this is what Christ wanted. By respecting the authority structure of the church, and those who have legitimately been ordained bishops, priests, or deacons, going back to the time of the apostles, the Catholic Church is able to enjoy and witness to the unity of faith: one Lord, one faith, one Baptism, one Spirit, one church, all of which the bible says we should be. Hope that helps, cause you never know. P.S. Padre Pio loves you, and contrary to the nonsense of protestants, the saints intercede of us in heaven (like the bible says in revelations). May St. Padre Pio pray for you!
There is no purgatory written in the Bible ,only heaven and hell ,there is no in between , if you can find purgatory word in the bible , show me the verse.
The belief in purgatory days back to early Christian perceptions about ancient culture like the Jewish people and the Greeks believing in a place where souls go after death. The word itself is not used, much like rapture or trinity; however, these customs and beliefs have persisted even before the church had been brought to fruition. There are many versus that allude to this both in the Old and New Testaments. Although Catholic and some Protestant faiths believe in purgatory, the Catholic faith does not teach whether it is a physical place a soul awaits, a process it undergoes, or both, but it does make clear that it is through God's abundant mercy and willingness to save that a soul might be purified and made whole by this extended mercy of a loving Jesus, who does not wish to lose not even one lost sheep from the flock. Moreover, it also helps one understand the mercy and love of God as well as the humility of the soul required in order to step into heaven, for the Book of Revelation states that no one will enter the Kingdom of Heaven with sin. This gives hope to those that might otherwise be lost due to unrepentant sinners - due to their own neglect and shame of confessing sin or ignorance of such convictions of the heart. Time and space in this reality may not allow for a lost soul to have repented of sin before the Lord called them, but He in His abounding mercy may see to it, as an example, that the person involved in a road rage incident, cursing his fellow man, distracted by his anger only to pull out in front of an intersection without first looking, gets T-boned by a tractor trailer and is instantly killed. This sin was not confessed prior to death, but God, in His Mercy, may still allow the soul to be humbly sorry for the sin he committed prior to his physical death on earth. Some might say, well if he was Christian, then he would have been forgiven, but Jesus did not teach this: every sinner he restored, He gave direction to repent and sin no more. Jesus is not an insurance policy, but he does give us assurance that if we have faith and trust in Him and obey His teachings and commands, that we may have assurance that He remains faithful and true to His word and promises to us. Nevertheless, these customs, practices, and traditions have been with the church since its beginning in its earliest infant days. The Bible was not completed as a composition until late into its infancy, but we would have to trust the men and women who were in faith to believe they were men and women of God and helped guide the church to these truths if we give any validity to the book we call the Bible; otherwise, the church fathers and disciples were deceptive in their teachings and practices, but that would stain the Bible's reputation as being inspired or compiled by lost or evil people. This rationality does not make much sense to claim to be the word of God if it was brought about or enlightened by liars and hypocrites. Therfore, it is important to study the history of the church even prior to the Bible being sanctioned by the church. Understanding this history gives us a better knowledge and wisdom of how God works patiently with us to gain a fuller understanding of Him and His Spirit.
Not everything that's True, is written in the bible. Its a Protestant fallacy. You cannot go straight to Heaven as a Protestant since you cannot have a single stain on your Soul. No human lives a perfect sinless life unless you are the 2% in the entire world who's lived a very holy life.
There is NO PURGATORY! Please cling to the biblical Truth. Hebrews 9:27 and Luke ch16 are two evidences of direct path to torment when unbelievers die... (those not born again by God's Spirit)
Jesus taught Purgatory. He warned us that we will not be released until we have paid the last penny. When we repent and receive the Holy Spirit Jesus expects us to live according to the gifts we have received . Action speaks louder than words. If we are lazy careless servants then we cannot enter Heaven until we have done penance of reparation for our lack of effort in accordance with the gifts of the Holy Spirit we received. After repentance we should live lives of thanksgiving. Many Christians pray for the deceased. Time does not matter with God it’s never too late to pray for deceased loved ones. Even the long deceased in our family we may worry about. Charity is not bound by time. Blessings
@larryluch8178 that was a parable NOT to describe Hell or Purgatory... you take completely beyond the context of FORGIVENESS that WE are supposed to have for one another! Jesus' parable in Luke ch16 is ABUNDANTLY CLEAR! He said ONCE WE DIE, the spirit of the unbeliever (not born again) descends into torment IMMEDIATELY, while the spirit of the believer goes into Paradise. And from those two NON-RETURN destinies Jesus said it is IMPOSSIBLE to pass from one to the other. Hebrews 9:27 further confirms this quwj it says, that AFTER we die, "THEN COMES JUDGEMENT.

@acsberean4092 : Purgatory Jesus' transfiguration Luke 9:28-31 28 Now about eight days after this had been said, he took with him Peter, John and James and went up the mountain to pray.

This is not about the end of the world, for “the kingdom of God is in the midst of you” (Luke 17:21), and some of Jesus’ disciples were about to see it manifested in a powerful way. He answered him, 'In truth I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.' Born again believers say there is no purgatory and there's only HEAVEN or hell. That would indicate there's only two states of souls and nothing in between. The sinful states of souls range is wide from eternally damned to a heavenly state. What about the souls who fall in the middle? We have people, saints and artifacts that prove there's a middle called purgatory. I believe our Father is a loving Father and He wants all his flock which is why He gives them a second chance.

The same holds true for those who don't believe in Purgatory; YOU WILL KNOW IT WHEN YOU GET THERE. That is, if you are blessed enough to make it that far.

Likewise. Especially during the recent month of November.
@beagle5 : When protestants claim that nobody can intercede for you except Jesus
Then they quote 1 Timothy 2: 5 For there is only one God, and there is only one mediator between God and humanity, himself a human being, Christ Jesus.
By their claims, nobody can pray for them on this earth either!
What this really means is: Jesus is the mediator of a new covenant, we don't need the old testament priest to offer sacrifice anymore because Jesus offered his sacrifice once & for all as it says in Hebrews 9:27-28
27). Since human beings die only once, after which comes judgement,
28). so Christ too, having offered himself only once to bear the sin of many, will manifest himself a second time, sin being no more, to those who are waiting for him, to bring them salvation.
1 Timothy 2: 1 I urge then, first of all that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving should be offered for everyone,
So Paul is urging everyone to make intercession for one another.
For example, consider these three verses:
(Mark 16:16)
He who believes and is baptized will be saved.
(Luke 13:3)
Unless you repent you will all likewise perish.
(John 6:54)
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
Stop Denying the word of God and denying who Jesus is and why He came . Man’s ways are deceiving
Through Padre's Pio prayers may God grant us d grace of sanctity in body n soul. Thank God For Catholicism
I believe , without any doubt.
Please pray for repose soul of Jamila,Faraj,Samir

Keep the Faith. Most of us will spend some time in purgatory since we cannot go to heaven with any stain on our souls. That's why God created purgatory out of love for His creatures. Purgatory is one step away from Heaven.
Its sad that Protestants believe they are going straight to heaven when they die.

This is horrendous what hope do any of us have
No one dies without sin, whether it is the sin of commissions or omissions.
Jesus says, "Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved."
Jesus says, "Whose sins you forgive are forgiven. Whose sins you withhold are retained."
Jesus says, "If you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you shall have eternal life, and I will raise you in the last day."

If so this proves Medjorgorgi meaning She can go straight to God the Father,,, This would also Prove my visitation that She gives all Graces because She is one with The Holy Spirit but these graces have to be willed by either God the Father or Son. Three Hours of Apparent Death
In 1952, Daniele Natale, then thirty-three, was admitted to the Regina Elena clinic in Rome (now the Regina Elena National Cancer Institute), for the removal of a spleen cancer. After many insistence, it was operated by Dr. Riccardo Moretti, who had initially refused to perform the surgery because of the advanced stage of the disease. Do only the Catholics believe in purgatory? Can you give me the scriptures to show me in the Bible?
This belief is rooted in Scripture and Tradition. For instance, 2 Maccabees 12:45 speaks of prayers for the dead, suggesting an intermediate state where such prayers are beneficial. Additionally, 1 Corinthians 3:15 mentions being saved, yet 'as through fire,' which the Church interprets as a reference to purgatory.

@theProfessor1379 : Faith without works
You are not saved by faith alone, but! by works of love.
John 8:51
51 In all truth I tell you, whoever keeps my word will never see death.
How do you keep Jesus' word? By doing what he asks of us!
James 2:14-26
14) How does it help, my brothers, when someone who has never done a single good act claims to have faith? Will that faith bring salvation?
15) If one of the brothers or one of the sisters is in need of clothes and has not enough food to live on,
16) and one of you says to them, 'I wish you well; keep yourself warm and eat plenty,' without giving them these bare necessities of life, then what good is that?

36 lacking clothes and you clothed me, sick and you visited me, in prison and you came to see me."
37 Then the upright will say to him in reply, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?
38 When did we see you a stranger and make you welcome, lacking clothes and clothe you?
39 When did we find you sick or in prison and go to see you?"
40 And the King will answer, "In truth I tell you, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me.”

You can lose your salvation by: being unrepentant & harbouring unforgiveness.

@PhoenixAscending: Once saved always saved is a lie from Hell
When Jesus said on the cross "it is finished" he was talking about redemption NOT! Sanctification.
Sanctification meaning: the process of being made holy by God. This process begins at baptism, where the love of God is infused by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). Through baptism, a person is “set apart” or “made holy” (Latin: sanctus), initiating their journey towards spiritual growth and union with God.
sanctification is a continuous process, guided by the Holy Spirit, and facilitated through prayer, the sacraments, and a commitment to living a virtuous life
Repentance and conversion is a choice that we make daily. Jesus says what he means and means what he says.
Matthew 6:-9-15
9) So you should pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be held holy,
10) your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
11) Give us today our daily bread.
12) And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven those who are in debt to us.
13) And do not put us to the test, but save us from the Evil One.
14) 'Yes, if you forgive others their failings, your heavenly Father will forgive you yours;
15) but if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive your failings either.
Matthew 7:22-23
22). When the day comes many will say to me, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name, work many miracles in your name?"
23). Then I shall tell them to their faces: I have never known you; away from me, all evil doers!
Matthew 12:37
37) By your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.
James 2:14
14). How does it help, my brothers, when someone who has never done a single good act claims to have faith? Will that faith bring salvation?
If we accept Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, confess him as Lord, yet commit bad actions, God judges accordingly.
James 2:26

46). 'Why do you call me, "Lord, Lord" and not do what I say?

Ezekiel 18:24-26
24) 'But if the upright abandons uprightness and does wrong by copying all the loathsome practices of the wicked, is he to live? All his upright actions will be forgotten from then on; for the infidelity of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, he will most certainly die.
25) 'Now, you say, "What the Lord does is unjust." Now listen, House of Israel: is what I do unjust? Is it not what you do that is unjust?
26) When the upright abandons uprightness and does wrong and dies, he dies because of the wrong which he himself has done.

Jesus never talks about the so called purgatory but heaven and hell , the Bible never mentioned it not even once, so where is this coming from?
Jesus said his sheep hears his voice and no other voice they will follow.
Such experiences that Catholics have are from Satan. Catholicism is a different religion to biblical Christianity.

There is no pergatory.....read your bible
@danielwhite656: obviously you haven't read the Bible! Purgatory
Jesus' transfiguration Luke 9:28-31
28 Now about eight days after this had been said, he took with him Peter, John and James and went up the mountain to pray.
29 And it happened that, as he was praying, the aspect of his face was changed and his clothing became sparkling white.
30 And suddenly there were two men talking to him; they were Moses and Elijah
31 appearing in glory, and they were speaking of his passing which he was to accomplish in Jerusalem.
We know Moses died, and he couldn't have come from heaven because at that stage Jesus hadn't died, and he couldn't have come from hell, because nobody gets out of hell, therefore there must be a place between, could it be the place that Jesus talks about in the parable of Lazarus & the rich man (Luke 16:19-30)
19 There was a rich man who used to dress in purple and fine linen and feast magnificently every day.
20 And at his gate there used to lie a poor man called Lazarus, covered with sores,
21 who longed to fill himself with what fell from the rich man's table. Even dogs came and licked his sores.
22 Now it happened that the poor man died and was carried away by the angels into Abraham's embrace. The rich man also died and was buried.
23 'In his torment in Hades he looked up and saw Abraham a long way off with Lazarus in his embrace.
24 So he cried out, "Father Abraham, pity me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in agony in these flames."
25 Abraham said, "My son, remember that during your life you had your fill of good things, just as Lazarus his fill of bad. Now he is being comforted here while you are in agony.
26 But that is not all: between us and you a great gulf has been fixed, to prevent those who want to cross from our side to yours or from your side to ours."
27 'So he said, "Father, I beg you then to send Lazarus to my father's house,
28 since I have five brothers, to give them warning so that they do not come to this place of torment too."
29 Abraham said, "They have Moses and the prophets, let them listen to them."
30 The rich man replied, "Ah no, father Abraham, but if someone comes to them from the dead, they will repent."
(Matthew 5:25-26).
25 Make friends quickly with your accuser, while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be
put in prison;
26 truly I say to you, you will never get out till you have paid the last penny.
Matthew 12:32 ,
32 And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.”
Here Jesus speaks of sin against the Holy Spirit.
Revelation 21:27 (God tells us that nothing imperfect can enter into heaven)
27but nothing unclean will enter it, nor anyone who does abominable things or tells lies.” The place that is to be entered (the place to which this passage refers) is heaven (read the text around it for context).
The Bible clearly implies a place for an intermediate state of purification after we die in the many passages which tell that God will reward or punish according to a person’s life.
1 Peter 3:18-19 (Especially note 19)
18). Christ himself died once and for all for sins, the upright for the sake of the guilty, to lead us to God. In the body he was put to death, in the spirit he was raised to life,
19). and, in the spirit, he went to preach to the spirits in prison.
1 Corinthians 3:9-15
9 After all, we do share in God's work; you are God's farm, God's building.
10 By the grace of God which was given to me, I laid the foundations like a trained master-builder, and someone else is building on them. Now each one must be careful how he does the building.
11 For nobody can lay down any other foundation than the one which is there already, namely Jesus Christ.
12 On this foundation, different people may build in gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay or straw
13 but each person's handiwork will be shown for what it is. The Day which dawns in fire will make it clear and the fire itself will test the quality of each person's work.
14 The one whose work stands up to it will be given his wages;
15 the one whose work is burnt down will suffer the loss of it, though he himself will be saved; he will be saved as someone might expect to be saved from a fire.
This passage speaks of the believer being refined by fire. It is a clear indication of a refining place, purgatory.
@danielwhite656 : God is outside of time
Luke 9:27 'I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.'
This is not about the end of the world, for “the kingdom of God is in the midst of you” (Luke 17:21), and some of Jesus’ disciples were about to see it manifested in a powerful way. His clothing becomes dazzlingly bright, Moses and Elijah appear beside him, everyone is enveloped in a cloud, and God the Father speaks from heaven, identifying Jesus as his Son and his Chosen, and declaring, “Hear him!”
This manifestation is the coming of the kingdom “with power” that Jesus referred to, and the text of each Gospel suggests that this is the way the evangelists understood it. Peter, James, and John thus were the three who did not taste death before they saw the kingdom coming with power
Luke 23: 42-43 concerning the thief on the cross:
42). Then he said, 'Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.'
43). He answered him, 'In truth I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.'
The Greek manuscripts containing Jesus’ words do not contain punctuation, so it is not certain where commas should be placed. Consider this possibility: “Truly, I say to you today, you will be with me in paradise.”

Purgatory is a place to pay for your sins? So Catholics bypass Jesus, they either live such pure lives they earn their way to heaven or they pay for their sins in purgatory before going to heaven? Where does Jesus fit in?
@raukawa4732
The Catholic Church believes that Jesus taught the existence of purgatory in the Bible, and that purgatory is a temporary state in the afterlife where ppl pay for their sins before going to heaven.
In Matthew 12:32 Jesus refers to temporary prison where ppl pay for their sins before going on to heaven. Luke 12:58 - 59 Jesus compares the afterlife as a prison where ppl must pay their debts before being released.
Jesus saves us once we repent. In return He expects us to serve Him in accordance with the gifts we receive from the Holy Spirit. If we are lazy careless servants then we are purified in Purgatory before entering Heaven. Luke12.35-48 the parable of 4 servants. One is saved, one is lost and 2 suffer temporary punishment. WRONG BELIEF! JESUS DIED FOR ALL SINS! THIS IS AN OLD CATHOLIC BELIEF! JESUS DIED ONCE FOR ALL!
@charlottebeseke5596 : Once saved always saved is a lie from Hell
14) 'Yes, if you forgive others their failings, your heavenly Father will forgive you yours;
15) but if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive your failings either.
James 2:14
14). How does it help, my brothers, when someone who has never done a single good act claims to have faith? Will that faith bring salvation?
If we accept Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, confess him as Lord, yet commit bad actions, God judges accordingly.
James 2:26
Luke 6:46
46). 'Why do you call me, "Lord, Lord" and not do what I say?
Luke 6: 49
49). But someone who listens and does nothing is like the man who built a house on soil, with no foundations; as soon as the river bore down on it, it collapsed; and what a ruin that house became!'
Luke 9:23 Then, speaking to all, he said, 'If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross every day and follow me.
Luke 16:19-30 The story of Lazarus and the rich man shows us that the rich man went to hell for refusing to help Lazarus who was poor and hungry. (He refused to do good works)
You can lose your salvation
2 Peter 2:20-22
20) and anyone who has escaped the pollution of the world by coming to know our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and who then allows himself to be entangled and mastered by it a second time, ends up by being worse than he was before.
Hebrews 10: 26
26) If, after we have been given knowledge of the truth, we should deliberately commit any sins, then there is no longer any sacrifice for them.
Romans 11: 22
22) Remember God's severity as well as his goodness: his severity to those who fell, and his goodness to you as long as you persevere in it; if not, you too will be cut off.

Because you reading the wrong Bible.... The fake Bible... Protestant bibles are 7 books short because Martin Luther removed all books relating to purgatory... So you been conned 😂😂😂.
Read the true Bible my friend not the fake Bible printed by Martin Luther 1500 years after the real Bible was put together by the Catholics in 384 AD
So sorry you were misled all these years...
@@D0csavage1 excellent post. Thank you
Jesus said, "I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny".
The Bible teaches the "church is the pillar and bulwark of truth" and "the gates (ie, the mouth, or lies) of hell will NEVER overcome it."
Protestants take a minimalist approach to how they interpret the bible.
The Bible doesn’t teach only the Bible

There is no purgatory written in the Bible ,only heaven and hell ,there is no in between , if you can find purgatory word in the bible , show me the verse.
Amen there is not purgatory only hell, and heaven
Exactly there is not purgatory, only hell, and heaven.
The word Holy Trinity isn't in the bible either? Does that make it not true?
Blessings

@acsberean4092 : Purgatory
25 Make friends quickly with your accuser, while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be
put in prison;
14 The one whose work stands up to it will be given his wages;
15 the one whose work is burnt down will suffer the loss of it, though he himself will be saved; he will be saved as someone might expect to be saved from a fire.
This passage speaks of the believer being refined by fire. It is a clear indication of a refining place, purgatory.

But it is

The precious blood of Jesus cleanses us from ALL SIN (( no need to atone in [ unbiblical ] purgatory)
Born again believers say there is no purgatory and there's only HEAVEN or hell.
So after being born again have they not sinned ?
yeah....purgatory does not exist...only hell and heaven......it is not in the Bible....
