I Love this little mud motor. It is one of the best motors you can buy for the money. I have had such a good time with this motor. It goes shallow has tons of power, is cheap compared to other motors and is low maintence. I would buy this motor all day for any boat.

I went out and started mine the other day and surprisingly it fired right up. It’s been sitting outside all winter and I live in Maryland. Definitely worth the money I spent on it
Oh yeah Gonzalo! They are awesome motors. The one time mine won’t start and it’s on camera. Ha I knew there could be a 50 50 shot. It’s amazing how many parts there and how easy they are to run.
@@TBassFactory for the price you can’t beat it. I got mine in 2020 I believe and it was $299 for the 2 piece kit and I had a coupon for the predator 212 and got it for $99 at my local harbor freight. People talk bad about mudskipper but mine has been amazing since I have had it.
There are a couple versions of the small hangkai air cooled outboards. I have the 6hp air cooled 4 stroke. Basically a Honda clone. I used it all through the fall and all winter as transport back and forth to hunting locations and as a duck boat. The hangkai seems bullet proof. 2nd pull every time. Only runs about 7mph. Torque monster, but low redline keeps top speed down.
Yes Isaac! I have plans for the 4hp 4stroke I got off of Amazon. I want to compare it since it’s a $300 motor. I’ve read the reviews and they sounded so good I got one. I’m glad to hear that you have good luck with them.

Wouldnt start wonder if the low oil cut off switch was the cause of your no start i mean the engine was at a pretty severe angle you said it only sat for two months a clogged carb shouldnt have been an issue in that short of a time
You should put stable in your gas ,and then it will stay good longer ,and won't clog up you carb
I usually do and I run the motors a lot but I messed up and didn’t for a little while. Would of saved the carb getting gummed up. Thanks bud

There’s a go cart upgrade kit for that motor that boosts the horsepower up to 22. Right now I’ve got the 9 horsepower kit on mine and haven’t broken into the inside and changed the internals. Thanks bud!

Do they make a short shaft version?
I think they do, but it’s more of a outboard style with 2 90s instead of a straight shaft. I know they do for bigger engine sizes but not sure on the smaller sizes.

Use a machine press with different sized pipes or sockets is what I’ve used in the past similar to control arm bushings

buy short tail . The long tail shit is too heavy . i think its heavier than the engine & will reduce the engine output . Suitable for 20hp engine or 15 lowest. designed by idiots .

You could absolutely use a Briggs and Stratton

By state law you do, but a lot of times it isn’t as monitored as the boat title and registration is.
Don’t store w fuel in it
Yep or use stabil with the gas and it won’t gum up.
