Glad to be able to watch these. I haven't been able to see them before. Looking forward to your trapping season this year and the Fur Harvesters shows!
Andrew....Thanks for uploading these so us in the lower 48 can see them... I start Beaver Trapping this upcoming Sunday... Out scouting looks like a good year... Most of the Beavers we trap are causing damage so they must go... Thank Again!
Thanks for the Video. Very informative and entertaining. Sure enjoy watching them. You and Charlie stay safe and have a Prosperous 2017 trapping season. :)
When I first started going in the woods alone, I had to get used to the weird groans and moans the branches would make, rubbing up against each other in the wind. But before long, you learn to ignore them.
not2tees yeah buddy the best is wen you hear a predator animal.killing a rabbit the rabbit screams like a person kinda scary the first few times u hear it gotta love the sounds of the land eh
I tell you one time - one time only - I had a definite feeling - intuition - to not go down this creekside where I usually went. I couldn't see or hear the slightest thing unusual, but just this little echo sort of, to not go down the creek that day. I had no weapon of any kind and so I thought, yep, we're going with the intuition today.
I lived next to Sagafurs in Vantaa Helsinki for three years bro. (half Finn) was a hoot to see the product coming in, crazy prices being paid for fur man. Great episode Andrew, hope the family are well bro. Cheers Moose Down Under.
You must be happy with the cooler winter. Not cold like old but we had a few -40. Really hard on my old Racing Pigeons & our furnace died. They would need to run a sleeve down hot water chimney so just buying a new one. All in will be about $7000. Dang. Don' t know what people without stove would do as we been a week now waiting.
I wonder why Lynx prefer Lynx meat..I'd imagine because they want to check it out because it's another Lynx. Or maybe it tastes better than Beaver meat...lol! Love this video series!!
Looking good Andrew! Sure brings back good memories to see these FHA episodes again. I hope that you had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Are you going to be showing us your current trapline adventures also? You and Charlie dog be safe out there.
Wade Wittman ...hey witty fancy seeing you over here. we both got good taste in you tubers. lol . hope all is well mate. love watching andys vids. such a stunning but harsh area.
loadeddog K Hey buddy, good morning to you! Great minds think alike 😉 Yeah I've been watching Andrew for about four+ years now. I've been trapping for decades like my father did and watching Andrew's trapping adventures of the far north are very intriguing. I hope that you have a great day and see ya on the next one.
He hunts animals to survive. It's a job. Hunting allows him to live a sustainable life in the wilderness. He's not killing animals "for fun" or as a hobby.
lol...he'll yea ...mountain men joke was great!!! you got all serious real quick N then busted the joke...good stuff man....I have to say I do like your videos you make about the same though.....its all great.. thank you for another vid.
jus catchin all this and gettin up t speed. congrats on your award..hope you get filthy rich on tv and tube vids..cuz w fur prices the way they are..it wont be in fur.lol be safe out there brother. from southern ohio..
Andrew, Get some lens caps for your scope and cover the end of your barrel wit a piece of tape or something, All that snow covering your gun is driving me crazy. Keep the vids coming, Really enjoy them.
+Mike “Old Digger” Larkey I couldn't find the right size lens cap for that size of scope here in the north it's cold enough the snow don't stick to the lens just tilt the gun it falls out.
Andrew. I love your new format. Wishing you a great success with the show. I am sure it is a lot of work, but it is appreciated. Hopefully you still show some of your old style, un-censored footage somewhere as well. Good luck to you friend!
You going to be posting the other videos?? Been wanting to watch the show but no satellite if that's what it's on,but all your videos are great! Learned a lot since I started watching...thanks for the videos buddy
+Jordan Meekis yes I will be I mentioned that in my Dec update you guys should watch my updates because they are of things to come I explain what to expect.
The sheep hunt vid was awesome -I have seen many videos of yours and they are all really cool but the sheep hunt where you scored the ram and caribou was probably the coolest - When you have to do a regular job what are you doing ?
I was out wood cutting this onetime , there was were spruce trees rubbing together that sounded like a cow moose, later that day I walked out towards those rubbing trees and there was a bull moose bed around that area, I'm thinking he was stickin around that 2 or 300m square area looking for that cow. note this was in mid jan few years bac
+Connor Clements 110 will work but might not kill em so quickly. I think in the nwt regulations it says must use 120 double spring the 110 are more for rats
Here in New Brunswick Canada 120 Belisle is one of the only certified traps allowed tor marten . 110 of any brand is only allowed for water sets that will drown the mink or rat .
TheWildNorth Yep. I have a big nylon parka and wear layers under it. It gets cold here! Minnesota. . Thanks and I hope you have a productive season. I really enjoy your channel.
When you were discussing trap safety, I always thought the video sequences in which the conibear traps were sprung and fly out of the boxes were cool. How did you spring them without touching them for these clips?
I thought that was what you said. wasn't sure when I seen this. just wanted to make sure, even though it's about the same person I like your videos better. happy hunting.
I love the vids Andrew... but is it just me, or are youtube videos audio volumes getting carried away, I find myself needing my mouse on the volume control, just so i can hear what people are saying after getting deafened by the music overlay?
Andrew, I have to laugh my ass off ever time I hear you refer to Charlie Boy as "The Beaver Retriever" because every time you call him that... the first thing that comes to mind is trapping the "other" Beaver! LMAO! I don't think you realized it but Charlie Boy is also now multifunctional tool,...(as a retriever) and thus could also be call "The Rat Retriever" (Muskrat) now too! Maybe a new name for ole Charlie Boy ..."The Beaver, Rat Retriever"? ha ha ha.
Love it great video thanks for sharing and be safe on the line
I died laughing at the creaking tree noise. It'd be a big mystery to some 🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍 awesome content Andrew!

You must be happy with the cooler winter. Not cold like old but we had a few -40. Really hard on my old Racing Pigeons & our furnace died. I found this guy on Vice, followed him on you tube, now I hope to see him on TV and charlie boy.
He hunts animals to survive. It's a job. Hunting allows him to live a sustainable life in the wilderness. He's not killing animals "for fun" or as a hobby.

TheWildNorth alright,I might have missed that, well have a good season buddy! Will be watching
The sheep hunt vid was awesome -I have seen many videos of yours and they are all really cool but the sheep hunt where you scored the ram and caribou was probably the coolest -
When you have to do a regular job what are you doing ?
love this guys vids

what do u do with those carcasses?
What is the Bushman you spoke of ? Sasquatch?
Can someone please tell me what band does the music for the show? Credit's say it's Dig A Wolf but cannot find anything on them anywhere.
+Erated78 it is Digawolf one word you can find his music on iTunes and also a few music videos on RUclips.
whats your thoughts on using a 110 Duke Connibear box set for marten instead of a 120 Duke?
Use dbl springs for those guys or they could escape the trap. I've found that 2 springs hits harder & faster & when they get caught they are done !
TheWildNorth I just ordered a dozen duke 120's. Starting to learn to trap from you. Will be watching the rest of the show, keep em coming!
bin reading the comments. i love the tunes dont change a thing u look bad ass in the intro.
How much can a good Lynx and wolverine pelt fetch at auction?
had to take a shot at Mountain men eh bud?😂 Good ol Andrew
I asked you one time if the embroidery on your coat was a cold spot. Every time I see that coat I feel it.
+James Jahoda it's not so bad I dress in layers an I know what to expect of the cold if it's over -30c I do notice it
TheWildNorth Yep. I have a big nylon parka and wear layers under it. It gets cold here! Minnesota. . Thanks and I hope you have a productive season. I really enjoy your channel.
I'd rather watch this than Netfix any day!!!
When you were discussing trap safety, I always thought the video sequences in which the conibear traps were sprung and fly out of the boxes were cool. How did you spring them without touching them for these clips?
+TheWildYam I used a piece of thin fish line from the back of the box to the trigger on the trap if you look really really closely you might see it
Right on! Advanced frame by frame and I saw it on the marten box set attached to the trigger on the right side at 19:15. Cool!
Been watching you channel since day one. Happy New Year to you & Charlie. Are you close to Buffalo Lake?
+Joe LaPierre no I am.not.close to buffalo lake it's over a hundred miles from me
Good shit man. thnx again for showing this. still going to do trapping tales?
+Matt Rowe yes I will I.mentioned that in my december update
I thought that was what you said. wasn't sure when I seen this. just wanted to make sure, even though it's about the same person I like your videos better. happy hunting.
I love the vids Andrew... but is it just me, or are youtube videos audio volumes getting carried away, I find myself needing my mouse on the volume control, just so i can hear what people are saying after getting deafened by the music overlay?
you needum squaw ! Help him out Folks.
where is your big yellow ski doo great show hope all your traps are full
+Paul Murphy not enough snow for the wide track yet

+HNX Media search itunes....digawolf he has a few albums. also some.music videos on youtube

+HNX Media no worries check out his one song My Father The Trapper it's my fav
Hey Andrew, I've always wondered where the film crew stayed while they were filming this?
+herro HI in my cabin and also prospector tents
Is that you singing in your video?
Thanks.
Andrew, I have to laugh my ass off ever time I hear you refer to Charlie Boy as "The Beaver Retriever" because every time you call him that... the first thing that comes to mind is trapping the "other" Beaver!
