    Alyson Hannigan doesn’t say one word in that final scene. She just gives one look and destroys me. She is such an incredible actor!

    20:43 The fact that Willow didn't need to say anything, Just the look on her face was enough for Angel to know what happened. He knew the only reason Willow would be here and be that sad is Buffy.

    Willow doesn’t have any dialog so they didn’t have to spoil her guest appearance by putting her name in the opening

    Lorne trolling the shit out of everyone by pretending to be dead to hear their reactions is simultaneously hilarious and cruel. It's like faking your death so you can attend your own funeral.

    "We know you're a man with a demon inside, not the other away around."
    By the time I reached that line, I knew I'd be watching the whole show. I'd seen a couple of scenes while my stepdad was watching it. Got off my computer to properly watch it during the Pylea arc. And this episode convinced me to stick around. The path I started on with that action has led me to all kinds of places, and today it's led me here.
    Thanks for sharing. It's fun to relive a journey that's so similar to my own.

    The idea was sitting there for presumably hours or even days, just because she felt she needed to Angel about Buffy face to face and that she didn't need to say a word. :0(

      That's because, unlike Xander, Willow respected the relationship between Buffy and Angel.

    You going through stages of grief...hugs.
    I don't think Wesley thought Angel would not be able to change back - he didn't know one way or the other. But he did need Angel to believe it, for two reasons. First, the plan required Angel to issue the challenge and fight, and he would need to change to win the fight. But second, if Angel did have the ability to change back, Wesley's stated belief that it was possible might give Angel the extra faith he might need to do so.
    Leaders have to make tough calls and to sometimes sacrifice others; it is not a position for the squeamish or weak-willed, a leader shouldn't sacrifice others carelessly but he has to be capable of it, and to not second-guess themselves. Wesley has come a long way since he first appeared in Buffy.

    I thought in There's No Place Like Pltz Glrb we were relieved to see Lorne still alive, even though is only in head form. The Priests of course are totally evil. More great comedy when Gunn is in the stocks about to get his head cut off. Amy Acker puts is a great performance as Fred (BTW when you finish Angel, you could if you like watch Dollhouse starring Eliza Dushku, Faith in Buffy, and Amy Acker Fred in Angel it's a superb show). Super scene at the end when Cordelia decapitates the evil priest. Great little scene too when Lorne says to Angel that they both belong in L.A. because nobody is actually from there. We were of course so happy for the gang when they make it back to the hotel, but then seeing Willow there is such a shock for them. Great to see you enjoying the show, as many of us said it really is a great show on its own, but of course is still very much linked to BTVS. Some super episodes in S3 of Angel.

    Welcome back, Domie! Buffy season 6 is my absolute favorite season! I can't wait to see how you tackled it! :)

    Admittedly, I jumped onto Angel way later then most, this was the first episode I ever saw and it was because of how Buffy ended, I wanted to see if it would be referenced on Angel and how it would be handled, and I remember just getting over that feeling of how season 5 ended, watched this entertaining 2nd half of a two-parter and then the ending just dragging me back into that feeling.

    Sorry to bring this up but it just occurred to me that the Scoobies probably had a funeral for Buffy, that Willow probably intended to invite Angel to, but that he didn't get to go because he was in Pylea. I just made myself sad.

    Actually its supposed to be Buffy, then Angel. When they originally ran it was Buffy followed by angel until Buffy skipped networks. Even then it was assumed Buffy followed by Angel.

    Online watch order sucks. At the time Buffy episode aired and then immediately after Angel's would start in the next time spot of the day. So best is to watch Buffy episode and immediately after watch the equivalent Angel one because that's what the writers had in mind due to the way they aired.

    • @knowledge-girl
      @knowledge-girl 7 месяцев назад +2

      Except after "Buffy" season five and "Angel" season two; they were on different networks then. Buffy stayed at the same timeslot on UPN, but the WB kept moving "Angel" around. That's why the watch order is so different because the third season of "Angel" premiered multiple weeks before the sixth season of "Buffy."

    • @stormwreath
      @stormwreath 7 месяцев назад +3

      For Buffy S6 and Angel S3, there wasn't a single day when both episodes aired on the same date. They usually did alternate, but not always.
      If you're interested, the actual broadcast order was AA *BB* ABABABABABABA BB AB AA BA BB AA BA BB AAA BABABA *BB* (The first two and last two Buffy episodes of S6 were aired back-to-back on the same night)

    Pylea is a weird name for a place that doesn't like vowels ngl

    • @DrLipkin
      @DrLipkin 7 месяцев назад +2

      The holy books aren't a language, they're equations represented by consonants. Pylea presumably has a written language which uses vowels.

      Pylea was evil...if it's sacred books literally were the Wolf...Ram n Hart...that pretty much tells us all we need to know...pack the bags...we're leaving.

  • @IDyce88
    @IDyce88 7 месяцев назад

    anyone who says "we should never have left Pylea" clearly has no understanding of what Pylea's culture was like...they were a cult...they were so backwards...they were controlling and oppressive...they literally followed the same doctrate and teaching as Wolfram & hart. To them a Queen meant nothing...it was merely a figurehead...humans had no rights, music (which is a thing of beauty and expresion) had no purpose...no wonder Lorne left...i can't blame the guy. they were a facist dictartorship where everything was literally "do as we say or you die". who would EVER want to live in Pylea.

      Wow. Did you actually watch this video, or just post a kneejerk reaction based on its title? Clearly, all Domi is saying with that (all-caps) lament is that returning home took us, the viewers, away from the often fantastic, sometimes grim - but often quite humorous - storyline of Pylea, and made us deal with the harsh, tragic reality of what happened, over on BtVS, in The Gift.
