In this video, we uncover the growing speculation around Max Verstappen's recent race performance, where some believe he may have deliberately slowed down to send a powerful message to Red Bull. As McLaren and Mercedes continue to gain ground, Verstappen's frustration with Red Bull’s inability to keep pace is becoming increasingly evident. We’ll examine how his actions on the track could be a strategic move to highlight these issues and what this means for the rest of the season.
Additionally, we’ll dive into the internal conflicts brewing within Red Bull’s leadership, with key figures like Christian Horner and Helmut Marko publicly clashing. These tensions could be impacting team morale and performance, raising concerns about Red Bull’s future dominance. Is Verstappen playing the long game by conserving his car’s resources, or are these signs of deeper problems within the team? Join us as we break down the drama and discuss what it means for the championship race!

Thus the question is, why the gaslighting to make people think that Max is just "going slow now coz he doesnt like the car anymore." 😂
Probably because explaining to fans actually paying attention why the Redbull has lost boatloads of pace compared to 2022 and 2023 would open up all kinds of scrutiny and questions

The cooling off friendship between Max and Lando kinda reminds me of a reverse version of Rossi/Marquez, where Rossi had cooled at some point.
Also, and this might be my Dutch bias, but i haven't really been a big fan of Lando, ever since he got the podium places, it just looked like he could finally pull out his "big boy" attitude, with the (accidental)trophy smashing and stuff.
He changed into a kind of emotional brat, and sure Max also has his moments, but Max has always been like that.
Not that i dislike him, but he's not topping my list.
And yeah, in terms of Max being in damage limitation mode, it might be the case, especially since Red Bull themselve are already in the penalty territorium with some parts, maybe Max wasn't so much thinking about McLaren than about his own car and championship.

Sounds like brundle is making a mountain out of a mole hill. An F1 car's mechanical components degrade throughout a whole race, so it's not uncommon to see drivers be morr conservative in their driving to avoid additional wear and tear (or worse, a crash) when they know they won't be able to make up the interval to the next position. Max already got one 10 place penalty last race for changing out his engine one too many times, why would he add on to that by driving aggressively if he wasn't gonna make up the difference anyway?
And sure, maybe in a certain way it helped to solidify his point to the red bull team, but if max was really holding back to prove a point, then what the hell was perez doing...?

We could well see tracks that numb the RB weaknesses and Verstappen goes on to win. Why is a crushing Norris victory suddenly putting him in the championship fight when he is literally 70 points behind in the championship, with the only result we can base that assumption on being the literal last race? Yes RB has been caught but they still have the upper hand at least in the WDC versus Norris who has unfortunately failed at grabbing points from Verstappen at Silverstone and Belgium, with a grid penalty in the latter. Mercedes was the fastest car in Belgium, but RB were always stuck behind another car, Piastri himself said "clean air is king" so we cannot know how far off the mark the car that took pole by more than half a second really was on race day.
I'm all for close racing and a close championship fight, which we might get in the WDC, but let's try to ignore the recency bias on a WDC fight that will need a historic points swing to materialize.

We have to see both the perspectives of this
Max was slowing down for managing his tyres
    But on the same time
Lando didn't pushed hard every lap bro was just enjoying the race
The thing i wanna say that lando wasn't extracting the full potential of the car until the last lap
So yeah max was indeed slowing down
But lando was also managing his pace and not pushing hard
If he would have done that the gap would be more like 35 38 seconds

Better for you, better for the car, and doing so may give your rivals a false impression of their 'dominance' - next time a small loss may become nicking a win because your rival misjudged you. ...or maybe Max really is sending the team a message - who knows?

Usually these cover interesting ground or at least nuanced takes. This was much ado about nothing.
Short of a Max DNF, the driver's championship is likely safe even though most of us hope it isn't. Just look how many points McLaren have squandered so far already this season: it's very unlikely Lando is suddenly going to turn into Max and rattle off an incredible succession of wins till the end of the season. Besides Singapore, it seems unlikely Max will finish outside the top 4 a single time. We'd all love to see it, but 70 points in 9 races seems too little, too late barring a Max DNF.
Also reading way too hard into bringing the car home. Max did that all the time when in first. Why is there any drama about doing it in 2nd when you know there's no way you'll catch Lando and p3 is well enough behind?

There's another possibility here. #TeamMV will have a big cry about this, but, it's not exactly a ssecret that Max has a complicated relationship with his pride, his ogo, and how much being exceedingly successful F1 driiver makes up a huge part of his identity. He's been the best most of his life, and clearly had success and winning absolutely rammed into him relentlessly from a young age. Sooooo if he was struggling, and his inner thoughts weren't liking it too much, then backing off a bit gives him that as an excuse.
