You can get a unique version much easier by doing the poppy field mission and giving the relic to the guy in the poppy field. You can then kill him and take the relic back for your reward.

Yeah if you're willing to spend 10,000 koupons. It's worth picking up but you're not going to be able to use it for a while. Also, the one that he's showing us here has a holographic sight which in itself is very expensive and probably better than the attachment on the poppy field version
@@GreenT84 poppy field version comes with a foregrip and the holo costs 3k if you save your coupons from missions and sell 3 artifacts thats pretty much the full cost right there very achievable early game and as soon as you complete the first main mission and get sent to the chemical plant you get a drum mag for the ar416 so its very worth it to spend all your money repairing the poppyfield version as that gets you a unique ar416 with foregrip,holo,60 rd drum mag thats easily the best gun you can get early on stat/attachment wise for the money ive wasted more coupons fixing/upgrading that unique akms with the 4x scope than i would have on the 416
@@vonStahlmach you can farm the eastern outpost to the right of your main village follow the main row there's about 6 to 7 guys in there military they have a high chance to drop military grade helms and armor that you can sell for a but ton of money got around close to 10k coupons in one run sometimes they won't drop any but it's on the rare side just kill them sell the loot come back and farm them you can make around 100k coupons in about 13ish runs if you're not unlucky
finally cleared out the camp and got the M4. but they just kept coming back to reclaim the base. After the 3rd wave i was over it and dipped. still....had some good fights.
because its horribly unoptimized and runs the same whether your using a 2070 or a 4090 and cpu optimization is even worse sure its playable but its an absolute joke that none of the settings change anything visually unless set to low and the fps gains from changing something like shadows from ultra to low literally gives you 2 fps and you cant even argue about the settlement performance any time you goto a town kiss 60% of your frames good bye because somehow putting 3 traders and 6 ai in one spot makes your cpu want to burn itself out
Haven’t seen anyone say it yet, but ur mix of free cam is awesome, I’m sure it’s limiting with how smooth it can be, but it’s an awesome touch, love it!
The AR416 is ok but Valiks AKM is far superior, infinitely easier to get (can be obtained via the quest from the barman in first settlement) and has copious amounts of ammo as it’s a common ammo type
This. The scoped AKM is one of the best weapons in the series. Sure you'll find guns that do more damage and are more accurate, but good luck finding ammo for them

I haven't seen any channel talking about the fact that literally once you exit the main prologue, you can head on to the Cordon region(from de SouthEast corner of the Lesser, and get an early AS Lavina, an SPSA, a Buket, the SPECIAL AK74U, a High capacity attachment for the AR, Military Body Armor, artifact and a bunch of goodies.
theres no need to rush for this gun, follow the main quest the next area there are tons of them. plus getting it this early you dont have much ammo for it to be viable anyways. If u really want it just rush the base pick it up and run back to camp. if ur getting hit just spam med kits.
If you're determined and lucky enough, you can get a sniper rifle from the very same area as well: the big wall has snipers on top of them which will take pot shots at you; if you return the favour and eliminate them, one of them might drop their sniper rifle down the wall, where you can pick it up. It will of course be damaged, but hey - the other sniper rifle in this zone will also be damaged 🙂
I'd say the ar 416 isn't that much worth it before second area where the technician can mod it too and propably you won't find a suppressor for it until area 3 and high capacity magazine who knows when :)
You can easily get extra ammo for this gun at the beginning of the game. You get one of these and a bunch of ammo at the bunker. Before you go to the last scanner location, unload your guns and drop all your equipment outside the compound. The 416 and AK74M disappear, but you get to keep the 90 rounds of ammo you found, and all the other stuff. You can pick it up after Richter gives you the bolt and you get away from the anomalies.
Brave Stalkers, after you turn over the sensors and you can leave lesser zone, go for the SOFMOD in Zaton Railyard (SE of Quiets Camp ) badass silenced ar416 fully repaired with unique sight. Finding wisp for Sidor in cordon will net you a free drum if you get to his stash in time.
Each time i play this game something different happends. There was something mighta been quest, but i think you help someone and then a room and the emd of a hallway opens and there a gas mask in it. But on my second play through i couldnt find it. Like npc will randomly die before you can get to them. N it still counts. I love this game.
Yeah, the ammo issue early game makes this just kind of a novelty gun for me so far. Can’t wait to have enough ammo so it doesn’t just feel like carrying a paperweight. Lookin forward to it

My elite series 2 has seen better days lol but it was unplayable swapped to my regular black series X basic and it perfectly 👌 lucked out I guess. it is brand new tho 1st time I used it since series X drooped already had elite 2 then

Console version keeps crashing during fist weapon upgrade session then won't read inputs when loading back in when prompting press any button to continue. Literally preventing me from playing. Should I keep trying to play this minefield. Bandit armor in inventory has bread as its picture and a description instead of name......there's a lot more btw

Just assaulted this base but the gun didn’t have the holosite but it was still in pristine condition. I took out the entire base but just making a kill box on the upper floor - they only attack from one direction even on veteran. The ai in this game is broken. I looted a yellow broken as-Val from one of the guards.
Got the weapon, went right back to town, dropped it into stash and completely forgot about it xD I am a hoarder and always afraid to use better weapons in games with durability and then end up with tons of them while all the game using the base pistol...
Probably smart, use weapons where you have an abundance of ammo for anyways. The 416 has ammo issues cause that ammo is so hard to get. I also havent found a place yet that sells the ammo.
I love that weapon and I have that weapon. But in the "starter" zone it is really hard to find ammo for it. You can only find ammo for "Russian" arms there, NATO weapons ammo can be found starting from the Garbage zone.

Thats later in the story line, that version has a silencer. Someone starting out in this zone will not have access to the zone you are talking about yet.
I'm confused.. my artifact scanner (echo detector) hasn't gone off or flashed once since the tutorial level finding the slug. Are artifacts that rare? I've been playing for 6 hours now and haven't found another?
do you look at it around anomalies? most anomalies dont have artifacts. i found 4 by now, although one was from a questline. am still in starting area. played around 4-5 hours.
Youre supposed to look around anomalies. Green puddles of acid, blue lightning strikes on objects or walls, etc. Not all of them have an artifact but youll know once you notice the area was hard to reach or has a mutated mob running around or something.
1. Do the main quest a little until you leave the lesser zone. 2. Like Call of Pripyat, artefacts spawn at clutters of anomalies usually marked on the map 3. There is a new type of artefact in this 4th game being lootable objects near big unique anomalies like poppy field. Those are unique (no need for detector for these). Usually close to the epicenter
After I did this yesterday I was chased by three dudes, killed them, then kept playing. Now, every time I save and load, 2 or 3 soldiers spawn nearby and attack (even in settlements). Anybody else having this issue? Anybody find a workaround?
Someone else had this issue im sorry. Have you tried hanging around the main town for a while to see if they stop. I saved in the town and loaded in and they came and get smashed and it never happened again.
Why would you do that? As said in the video, you have limited 5.56 ammo in the lesser zone. You cannot buy it. I do have found and AR15 from the journalists stash and put it away together with the ammo, because I cant buy new 5.56 ammo. I am still in the lesser zone.
No need to restart. Gonna be doing a lot of backtracking anyway. You’ll get plenty of gear if you’re smart with it. Don’t be wasteful and you may end up grabbing it just to make some extra cash or a backup weapon
my friend I suggest you make shorter videos that go straight to the point and provide a specific tutorial in this case on the location of a certain weapon. for example here instead of directly showing us the location where the weapon is located you spent several off-topic minutes telling us about secret caches on the road.

I’m on Xbox playing on medium difficulty and I did this got the rifle, came without a sight on it. However, now there appears to be an irreversible glitch where the 3 soldiers continuously stalk me throughout the map at random points even on main missions and it’s damn near game breaking. Be forewarned if you do this you might get stalked by over powered soldiers all game long.. And yes I killed all 3 soldiers initially and now a subsequent second time as well. *Update* I ended up loading a previous save to right before I stole the rifle. Stealing the rifle can lead to the military faction turning hostile towards you and result in soldiers chasing you all game. From what I’ve read there isn’t a location you can go make amends with them either. NOT WORTH IT.
It's the worst AR in the game. It is heavier than AK74, has less damage than 74, less penetration, expensive bullets (rare in lesser zone too), expensive af to repair, the ammo is heavier than 545 as well. Not to mention it is way more expensive to upgrade than 74, that shoots ammo that is as widespread as dirt. They dropped the ball with balancing of AR416. It gets even worse when you get out of lesser zone and get your hands on Buket that deals more damage and has better penetration (with a 9x18 bullet, lol) while weighing 3 times less than said AR416.

I hated it for the first few hours. Like really hated it. The starting zone sucks and it gets so much better after leaving it. Better gear, guns, locations. Even with the dumb AI it’s still a lot of fun. If you get it rush the story until the second zone and forget about stealth. It will piss you off because it’s broken.
Well the "Best weapons" early on give you nothing. Just go straight to the central checkpoint until the guard tower snipe the guards in the tower and lure some additional guards out by hit and run. Then you get the "Best" AR416 and VS Vintar sniper rifle. But what can you do with it?? Nothing literally nothing not in the lesser zone not in the next garbage zone. Why??? coz no vendor sells the ammo types for it. Yeah thats right no ammo to buy for those "Best Weapons" so whats the use for such weapons in the early game ?? And upgrading also only works in zone 2. So how much Ammo can you get by looting ?? I raided that hard checkpoint for 3 hours killed more then 60 elite soldiers and what did i get ??? 260 shots of 5.56x45 for the AR416 and only 52 rounds 9x32 for the VS Vintar Sniper. And with all the missions and sidequest only in Zone 1 its nothing not even enough to advance the main mission to zone 2. Believe me. Stick to Viper-5 and Valik Lummoxx AKM 74s and you are good to go for zones 1+2

Right the Ammo 5.56 as said also drop from central checkpoint guards but its so time consuming farming enough ammo for using those rifles consistent and permanently. So as a "new beginning" Player its just not practical to get and use those weapons before Zone 3 and later. Dont get me wrong the Weapons are really good there is also another legend weapon right in Zone 1 a Sniper with 7.62 Ammo but comes only with 10 shoots which is very very good and i myself tried desperatly to find 7.62 in zone 1 and 2 with no luck and with all the reasons i listed its just not recommended or practical to use before getting to Zone 3 and later. I personally was like you guys i wanted to explore the zone and get the best weapons possible only after some hours to find myself helpless with the lack of ammo situation i think GSC should really make ammo more available at vendors but this could be what they had in mind to delay your progress and make the game more challenging.

Best to use an AK varient until you progress far enough into the game where you can buy M416 ammo. Until then the M416 is useless.

The mission in the poppy field gives you a modified version of the 416 that is a beast, but it has to be repaired, and it can be pricey.

I've got baaaaad stick drift & even tried a new controller with no luck so i'll have to wait for a fix before I can enter the zone.

Once you upgrade the bass pistol, it's pretty awesome.

I found a monolith 416 last night. Can’t remember the location but it’s on a roof you can easily jump on by squint.
That is probably one of the weapons from the Journalist stash questline. It has the camo pattern en is a great gun.

The monolith gun is part of the deluxe or ultimate pack. Anyone that does not own that pack will not see it in that stalker backpack

Youre supposed to look around anomalies. Green puddles of acid, blue lightning strikes on objects or walls, etc. Not all of them have an artifact but youll know once you notice the area was hard to reach or has a mutated mob running around or something.
Im like 5h in and found 2 besides starter. The bigger anomaly areas seem to usually have one
1. Do the main quest a little until you leave the lesser zone.
2. Like Call of Pripyat, artefacts spawn at clutters of anomalies usually marked on the map
3. There is a new type of artefact in this 4th game being lootable objects near big unique anomalies like poppy field. Those are unique (no need for detector for these). Usually close to the epicenter
After I did this yesterday I was chased by three dudes, killed them, then kept playing. Now, every time I save and load, 2 or 3 soldiers spawn nearby and attack (even in settlements). Anybody else having this issue? Anybody find a workaround?
Someone else had this issue im sorry. Have you tried hanging around the main town for a while to see if they stop. I saved in the town and loaded in and they came and get smashed and it never happened again.

Why would you do that? As said in the video, you have limited 5.56 ammo in the lesser zone. You cannot buy it.
I do have found and AR15 from the journalists stash and put it away together with the ammo, because I cant buy new 5.56 ammo. I am still in the lesser zone.
No need to restart. Gonna be doing a lot of backtracking anyway. You’ll get plenty of gear if you’re smart with it. Don’t be wasteful and you may end up grabbing it just to make some extra cash or a backup weapon

my friend I suggest you make shorter videos that go straight to the point and provide a specific tutorial in this case on the location of a certain weapon. for example here instead of directly showing us the location where the weapon is located you spent several off-topic minutes telling us about secret caches on the road.

I’m on Xbox playing on medium difficulty and I did this got the rifle, came without a sight on it.
However, now there appears to be an irreversible glitch where the 3 soldiers continuously stalk me throughout the map at random points even on main missions and it’s damn near game breaking. Be forewarned if you do this you might get stalked by over powered soldiers all game long..
And yes I killed all 3 soldiers initially and now a subsequent second time as well.
*Update* I ended up loading a previous save to right before I stole the rifle. Stealing the rifle can lead to the military faction turning hostile towards you and result in soldiers chasing you all game. From what I’ve read there isn’t a location you can go make amends with them either. NOT WORTH IT.
If you find this is happening try make it back to the main town and the other guys should take care of them and it should stop.

It's the worst AR in the game. It is heavier than AK74, has less damage than 74, less penetration, expensive bullets (rare in lesser zone too), expensive af to repair, the ammo is heavier than 545 as well. Not to mention it is way more expensive to upgrade than 74, that shoots ammo that is as widespread as dirt. They dropped the ball with balancing of AR416. It gets even worse when you get out of lesser zone and get your hands on Buket that deals more damage and has better penetration (with a 9x18 bullet, lol) while weighing 3 times less than said AR416.
i just cant wait for them to fix the game . been playing a bit and its a shame we cant farm mutants for their flesh q.q

I hated it for the first few hours. Like really hated it. The starting zone sucks and it gets so much better after leaving it. Better gear, guns, locations.
Even with the dumb AI it’s still a lot of fun. If you get it rush the story until the second zone and forget about stealth. It will piss you off because it’s broken.
Its really fun! I will recommend getting a external fan if your playing on console, because it makes my series x run really hot

Well the "Best weapons" early on give you nothing. Just go straight to the central checkpoint until the guard tower snipe the guards in the tower and lure some additional guards out by hit and run. Then you get the "Best" AR416 and VS Vintar sniper rifle. But what can you do with it?? Nothing literally nothing not in the lesser zone not in the next garbage zone. Why??? coz no vendor sells the ammo types for it. Yeah thats right no ammo to buy for those "Best Weapons" so whats the use for such weapons in the early game ?? And upgrading also only works in zone 2. So how much Ammo can you get by looting ?? I raided that hard checkpoint for 3 hours killed more then 60 elite soldiers and what did i get ??? 260 shots of 5.56x45 for the AR416 and only 52 rounds 9x32 for the VS Vintar Sniper. And with all the missions and sidequest only in Zone 1 its nothing not even enough to advance the main mission to zone 2. Believe me. Stick to Viper-5 and Valik Lummoxx AKM 74s and you are good to go for zones 1+2

@@UglyCoy0te 5.56 drops from random enemies in garbage but you right should use ak smg and a shotgun you from main quest till you get to either zaton or rostok rostok cause they sell it zaton cause it’s more common

Right the Ammo 5.56 as said also drop from central checkpoint guards but its so time consuming farming enough ammo for using those rifles consistent and permanently. So as a "new beginning" Player its just not practical to get and use those weapons before Zone 3 and later. Dont get me wrong the Weapons are really good there is also another legend weapon right in Zone 1 a Sniper with 7.62 Ammo but comes only with 10 shoots which is very very good and i myself tried desperatly to find 7.62 in zone 1 and 2 with no luck and with all the reasons i listed its just not recommended or practical to use before getting to Zone 3 and later. I personally was like you guys i wanted to explore the zone and get the best weapons possible only after some hours to find myself helpless with the lack of ammo situation i think GSC should really make ammo more available at vendors but this could be what they had in mind to delay your progress and make the game more challenging.
@@ncrranger8449 He knows but they drop so little it doesn't matter. He did say he farmed mobs for hours and got only a little over 200 rounds. That will not get you very far. Best to use an AK varient until you progress far enough into the game where you can buy M416 ammo. Until then the M416 is useless.
