    Ich hätte die Radnabe vor dem Einbau des Rades, noch schön mit LM Radnaben-Paste eingeschmiert. Cooles Video und super Werzeug zur ZWG Reparatur des Fzg´s. Die Qualität der Meyle Lager ist auch super.

    I'm pretty sure the shock absorber bolt is not supposed to be reused during reassembly. Interesting video though - thanks.

      That's year dependent. all bmw's 2006 and up use one time use aluminum fasteners. 2005 and below use steel fasteners.

      @@juggnautbitch thanks for clarifying, my car is a 2008 535d so has the one time use aluminium fasteners.

    Did you have to compress the spring to take off the control arm? Is it the same procedure for E53?

    • @MEYLETV
      @MEYLETV  3 года назад

      The spring does not need to be removed here. Only a gear jack or similar should be used before disassembly to support the control arm when lowering.

    How do you get the bush into the tool?

    • @MEYLETV
      @MEYLETV  3 года назад +2

      The bushings are already precompressed in the sleeve out of the box.

    Can you long threaded bolts And nuts instead of hydraulic press?

    • @MEYLETV
      @MEYLETV  3 года назад

      You can also use another tool to press the bearings in and out. As long as the control arms and the new bearings remain undamaged.

    Pretty cool but I would rather pass the cost of a replacement arm on to the customer rather than the cost of yet another tool to the shop or techs.

      Hey you know what, why bother replacing the control arm, they should just buy a new car to save you from buying tools for your shop.

      no hate, but I would like to know how many of your customers are willing to pay 500+ euros per one arm that means more than 1000 euros for 2 of them. Instead of 50 euros for bushings + the tool and your work.. I think its still less :)
