this inspired me to get a pelennor fields battle in with my brother, only on a much, much... MUCH smaller scale :D we do have one mumak though so thats something and the important heroes will be there as well, just not as many warriors on each side and without the sweet sweet board

This brings back memories... We had a nice little group of regular players back in the day. Uruk-Hai were my go to and they ruled the board. Especially the bezerkers, backed up with a spear. They would cut through opponents.

i dont play those kind of tabletop myself but follow warhammer fantasy tabletop for many years now. I m glad this one here appeared in my recommendation. Would be cool to see similar of this
That was cool. Last time I was involved in a large LoRT battle was when GW did the Battle of the Last Alliance. The company had painted up hundreds of Orcs, Elves and Gondorians. Elves had Gil-Galad, Elrond and Gondor had Elendil and Isildur. That was a blast. I ran Elendil with about another dozen Gondor soldiers...took out quite a few Orc before Sauron actually showed up 😁
D E Loved the lord of the rings game when it first came out. I remember buying the initial last alliance box that give you some elves some men and a lot of goblins and paints and a brush haha The first game I ever played was a Moria board, I controlled the fellowship against many goblins and a cave troll.
Wow Everything is simply amazing!! The terrain is 5 stars and so are the minis!! I feel kinda bad about Rohan charging and losing, especially with the free heroic combats. With the mumaks and witch king coming I believe that there is not much that the good guys can do. I mean the army of the dead and the Gondor fiefdoms alliance are fine on resources but Rohan is low on might and that is key. I believe it will all depend on numbers now. Great video and hoping to see the next segment!!
I played an Angmar vs Isengard game the other day and Hurl was amazing! I used it with my moria army as well against an alliance of gindor and rohirrim. Just getting the potential to unseat, or knock prone even two or three enemies is amazing!
Ever since i got into tabletop stuff when i was 11 i wanted to do lord of the rings stuff. Now 21 and although i bought a few kits such as mines of Moria i never properly collected middle earth miniatures as no one (and believe me i checked) no one here collects it. Thanks to finding your channel over last year's lockdown though you inspired me to finally get involved! finished up my pelennor fields box set and now about to start an Osgiliath themed army
This battle report is crazy. I can't wait to see the one with the full scale Minas Tirith. Though I imagine a battle of that size would take an entire age to set up, play and record, edit and upload. Very impressive.
I miss when it was just original LOTR from 2012. So much fun playing that at games workshop and they had a lot of amazing sceneries and minis for sale for it. Now barely anything on the website for the new earth middle version.
That's only because of Covid :) we get much more support bow than back in 2012, but obviously not as much as we did in the golden era of 2000-2005. But with Amazon around the corner who knows!

Cool set up. See professional paint jobs in the mix. That many figures, definitely need more than 2-3 players. I tried the Battle of Pelennor Fields Solitaire (minus the Warriors of the Dead because they just don't belong there) and took me 3 days to complete. Love the Osgiliath ruins too bad don't have the Rammas Echor.
These guys showed more strategy than all of the armies of Gondor with their massive prep only to be wasted by charging their cavalry straight into death without utilizing any of their strategic advantages.
Very fun to watch this video. This actually made me want to get into the Middle Earth Strategy game. :) Also, I just have to say that Ryan and Jacques are both incredibly cute.
That's a strong no ;) this is the third biggest GW system and it's absolutely booming :) the new edition in 2018 gave them game a whole new lifeblood and with Amazon around the corner it's about to explode 😊😊

I believe with hurl as RAW in the rulebook, you dont indicate which models are hit using a 25mm marker, its if the (imaginary) straight line that you draw passes over those models are affected. Thats how i've always played it and seen it played before. Care to shed some light if I am mistaken :)
Hey Joshy! A common misconception, you draw the line for establishing direction and then the rulebook literally says "move the nominated model the full distance... any models passed through, including those underneath its final position." :D

When I saw the thumbnail I was expecting a massive battle, what I saw when I watched the video however was kinda just a normal game with some more figures on a slightly bigger table. Good game though
Absolutely awesome battle report. One small mistake though. You can't support with a pike through a spear. Have never seen such a large battle on such a lovely board. Excellently edited too. Easy and enjoyable to follow along with.
Great battle report i had few attempts to do, at least similar battle, with my friends. Glad U did and we have youtube. Why Minas Tirith walls are "inside" to the filed? For exp. look at the stairs.

Absolutely awesome battle report. One small mistake though. You can't support with a pike through a spear. Have never seen such a large battle on such a lovely board. Excellently edited too. Easy and enjoyable to follow along with.

Great battle report i had few attempts to do, at least similar battle, with my friends. Glad U did and we have youtube. Why Minas Tirith walls are "inside" to the filed? For exp. look at the stairs.
