- Pennsylvania bear hunting is very popular! I had seen multiple bears this hunting season, but looking back it seems like I missed my chance. Lesson learned. In this video we also filmed a BIG buck recovery and some pheasant hunting.

You are soo much more adventurous than I am. I really enjoy your utubes. I have learned alot.
Glad you like them!
Hope everyone's having a great Wednesday!
Thanks Luis!
0:28 "I've never seen a rack so cool". I enjoy viewing fine racks too - sometimes on deer. :) LOL
You have a fun moment coming up. When one of you downs a bird, Abbie won't necessarily know what to do. Mark the fall of the bird, get Abbie to that spot and call out "Dead Bird!!!" Her nose will lead her to it, and that is a magic moment. From then on, the words "Dead Bird" tell her that a bird is down at her level and she can probably find it. She'll love that. Thanks for a happy video.
Good to know. Thanks for the info steve!
My 11yo daughter absolutely loves Abbie...and the puppy talk 😂
LOL she's the best!
I like the bear rug. I was blessed to harvest a 265 lb male black bear, here in Northern California. Fully mature and very happy about that. 🤠
The meat is excellent!
Awesome. We love the meat too!
Allie should go hunting with Steve Rinella! Best show ever.
I'd love to!
Great job Abbie
She's the best!! Very proud moment LOL
yeah you did drop your quiver , and hindsight is a funny thing , you made the safe choice in the short moment you had , iv found when iv made similar choices similar encounters come round soon enough , it was a good experience at the end of the day 😀
Some harvested a world record black bear in Craven county, North Carolina 880 lbs. in 1998. I couldn't even imagine a black bear that big. Apparently there have been a good many 700+ lbs. bears harvested in the coastal plains of North Carolina.
Jeez, thats nuts!
Hey guys i just wanted to tell you thank you so much for your posts you guys rock I have been on probation for the last three years and watching your guys's post has helped me to keep in mind how much I want to hunt when I am off of this I had to sell my ball and all of my hunting equipment because of the probation I was not allowed to have any of it but as soon as I'm off probation I will be starting my collection up again and I really am looking forward to getting out there I hope I can share some of my photos with you guys but I just wanted to say thank you so much for everything you do
Glad it helps Robert! Cheers.
Being in nature is a blessing kiddo!!
Absolutely!
Love your channel, looks like you guys have tons of fun and like going along with you on your adventures. Can't wait for the next one. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and safe New Year.
Thanks Windell. Merry xmas!
We have black bear in Del Rio Texas. We've seen them out there. But we're not allowed to hunt black bear in Texas.
Great Job Abbie!! Merry Christmas, Guys!!!
Merry xmas Ryan!
Nice video It's nice to see you with that beautiful smile May God bless you both Keep up the good work Maybe next time🦌🦆🐿
I have hunted bears 30 years in PA and I've killed 2. But the first couple I saw I did the same thing I thought they were to young. When you get one it is an amazing feelings.
Im sure it is! Nick got his tooth data back, his bear last year was 7 years 10 months old.
Hey woman RUclipsrs , You might wanna check out this channel. Allie is the real deal. No fake cannned hunts. No brother shooting you game. She even knows how to butcher a deer. ( and drop them with a bow at 40yrds.) no fake instagram face shots. A ethical hunter and a educated one. Prayers go out to Allie,Matt. God bless
That's nick not Matt. God bless
This is so exciting!👍 I look forward to more of your videos! Your dog is super adorable!
Thank you so much!!
Abbie stole the show on this one! 😆 Good idea with the Nick-cam.. you might have to get an Abbie-cam now! My favorite Outdoors Allie video so far. Great job! ✌
ahhahaha Abbie cam would be hilarious!
I'm dying to hear about deer drives...lol
Do you freeze pheasant/duck/dove/grouse wings to train during off season? Hiding them around the yard and watching the dog learn is one my favorite things to do during the spring/summer!
Yes, we did that last summer!
I love all of your videos Allie Have a Merry Xmas!!
Thanks for watching James. Merry xmas!
That looks like a 9 SF bear on the wall. Nice
Thanks for watching!!
BEAUTIFUL VIDEO ! YOU BOTH HAVE MANY YEARS TO GET A BEAR 🐻 🐻 🐻 🐻 🐻 ! LEARNING AS YOU GO. HOPE YOU BOTH & THE PUP HAVE A GREAT MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅 🎄& HAPPY NEW YEAR TOO 🎉 ENJOYED ! THANK YOU !
Thanks David, Merry xmas!
Good video! Just killed a bear here in pennsylvania this year also, with my 308. We also do a lot of deer drives here, got a big 10 point, 9 point and a few 8 points driving this year.
Sweet! Thanks for watching Ryan!
Love your energy and enthusiasm . This is the last weekend of bow in upstate NY . I got 2 already , hoping for 1 more in late bow . .
Thanks Terrence!! Good luck.
Good video.I subscribed! I had trouble judging bear size also.I passed up multiple bears because I didn't want to walk over to one the size of my Newfoundland! I know now that several were over 400 lbs!😂 I finally droped a 200 lb , 12 year old sow that walked past me at 20 yards from behind me while I was stillhunting. The meat was awesome, just needed 3 hrs of cooktime to become tender.Goodd luck next year!
Thank you and congrats on the bear!! Thats awesome.
Great video Allie! Abbie learned to flush now you and Nick need to learn how to shoot! LOL You guy's are awesome!
LOL successful either way!
Well that confirms the fact I need to get a dog again. So fun to watch Abby
Dooooo it!
Hey Allie, when I mentioned "if you could put a bear in a 55 gal drum it was a small bear". I heard that from Canada Hunters. So you are correct, would not apply in N.Y.. and P.A. ect....great video as always!
For sure. Thanks for watching Dave!
is your merch ( black hoodie) available in the UK ? Would love one thanks
I really appreciate your perspective! Could you try and incorporate others that may not find hunting as appealing? I feel like you're someone that could easily bridge the gap that is so hard to bridge!! Cheers, and happy hunting!
Thanks for watching Mike! I will keep that in mind for the future!
Hey Allie if you would like to do a good bear hunt then you need to come to North Carolina. We have some of the biggest black bear in the country. They start from 250-600 hundred pounds.
Sounds like a blast!
@@OutdoorsAllie if y’all become interested let me know. Theirs lots of public land here and I’ll scout some thing out for ya.
You have to be happy with what you decide to pass on or harvest kid. All good.
Good video and yes that was a very unique rack on that buck, you two keep up the good vids.
Thanks for watching Ron!
I still think you did the right thing, but with the new information you have, you definitely can make an informed decision next time.. But I still think, if it doesn't feel right, pass. It's never just about the harvest, the emotional part of hunting is real, as you know...
Proud of you, I truly enjoy watching you grow with every new hunt you do..
God bless.. Much respect and love..
For sure. Thanks tim!
Nice video
Your videos are awsome, you and Nick seem inseparable.. I'm an avid hunter in Lycoming county , PA. I hunt in upper Fairfield twp. I see you guys hunt in Pittsburgh area I assume? So does your house boarder state game land? Seems your hunts are on state land. It must be cool to hunt for a living. Great job on what your doing
Terry
I love this
Glad you enjoyed it!
gotta do a blade roast and osso buco with those shanks.
Sounds delicious!
This channel reminds me of Survival Lilly Channel.
Interesting-The differences between PA and here. My misconception was that PA bears were huge. Bear hunting here in WA isn't real popular. People hunt them when bear season overlaps with deer season. You never hear of people talking about opening day of bear season in WA. Kind of neat to see that you all do that. The 200 lb. + bear on my game camera this year didn't get me very excited. It just seemed small. So, I understand. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!!
I can’t eat beer
What do you mean shooting over water would be senseless? You've got a Lab with you, she would have got them.
Im not confident she would retrieve the bird yet
@@OutdoorsAllie I guarantee she would have. Give her more credit than that, lol! My husband and I have hunted pheasant for 40 years. We had a lot of fun. We love your videos, keep them coming, girl!
@@jenniferbraun2491 LOL i'd like to believe so, but she gets distracted. Thanks for watching jennifer!
Yah, your lab would have retrieved a pheasant in water. Take it from a Wing Whacker!
Nice!
Wish we had wardens like that in IL. All we have here are the ones that interigate you as though you just robbed a bank. Thats why people here do not call the DNR to report game violations. They actually treat you as though you are the guilty party, and one thing you never do is tell them that you have something mounted at your house, because 90% of the time they will be knocking on your door acting friendly and intersted in your hunting adventures and the next thing you know they are taking mounts off your wall and giving you some tickets. best thing to do here is plead the 5th. LOL
Oh bummer.....you did WELL though!
Thanks for watching Gail!!
nice buck! abby is always gonna be young at heart ;) people like bear fat for their boots too
Thanks for watching!!
@@OutdoorsAllie are you kidding?... gotta see what abby's doing ;)
Ah no way you have it on video and you passed an easy shot. That’s just as good as a kill and now you know all that info that you might not have looked into. 300lber coming next year.
Let's hope so!
Boa noite amiga 👍🇧🇷👍🇧🇷👏👏
Thanks for watching!
if black bear is in PA, why the heck wouldn't it be in south western Ontario?? They always say "the bears come from the North".
What about trichinosis? Great work, love your videos! I just recently found your channel. Your always welcome in Ontario, Canada.
Thanks Shane. From what I understand trichinosis isn't a problem here.
Good on you for not shooting a cub. It’s depressing how many 50 pound bears come into the checks stations during rifle bear
That was definitely unique! Two main beams?
Ya, pretty crazy looking.
00:40 That right there is what's known as a "2020 Rack".
LOL
That bear you passed on was small. I’ve been hunting bears for 20 years. You did a he right thing by not shooting it. That was a 60-70 lb bear at most.
Thanks for the feedback Todd!
@@OutdoorsAllie ground shrinkage with bear is a real thing!!! LOL
Looking at the bear it looks to be about 150 pounds maybe a little more. Hunting bears is hard. A lot of the places I hunt for them with my buddies I can maybe see 60 yards at best but that’s where they like it
We guessed a little smaller than that, but you may be right!
A bears size can fool you. If there was a pic of track you could tell better but more than likely that bear will fall in the 125- 150 pound range. Next year the bear will probably be closer to 200
I know its a bear video but any suggestions on hunting on state game lands for the first time?
Did you ever hunt in Bucks county, PA?
No, I haven't
your stats are average-harvested. dont beat yourself up. you want a bigger bear same as i do. ive hunted 3 seasons now, have passed up a couple, and am waiting on a bigger one. there are bigger ones. youre enjoying it out there, as i am. youve got to enjoy it, otherwise you wont do it. its too hard not to enjoy it! the day will come
You seem to be big on public land hunting . I tend to avoid that because I dont know what yahoo is out there . .Can you do a show on the pros and cons of public vs private>
I enjoy both, but I just don't really have access to good private land hunting.
2011 pse, is that old? 1992 super slam Supreme here. 😆 still killing deer.
Nice!! Thats awesome.
What part of pa are yall in? We do a lot of bear hunting in prince galitzin National forest
Nicks shotgun Stock Looks a bit small for a big man like nick was he size up for this gun
I'll relay that info!
If you wear full leather boots ,,,,,bear fat on them is the original waterproofing. ....Maybe next year, thanks for sharing
That would have been sweet!
Bear are very hard to judge size. That was a small bear. Sounds like PA bears are small in general. Next year it will be bigger.
For sure. Thanks for watching!
I cracked up with that lady in the beginning talkin about the deers eyelashes only a female and the next time you go pheasant hunting give Abby the gun LOL any time spent in the woods Laurel or not is great time and I wondered why you didn't shoot that bear black bears don't get that big but now you know live and learn🤓😆🐝😎
For sure!
At first you had a puppy going crazy but then it looks like she's going to be a good hunting dog
She just might be!!
@@OutdoorsAllie what crazy or a good hunting dog 😂😂😂
Enjoyed the video and you will get a bear soon. Just wondering do you post videos on rumble as well as youtube
Never even heard of it!
@@OutdoorsAllie it is just like youtube but they had a video on there and the young lady looked just like you. It was an outdoor video too
Wow, so much to comment on.....Allie, how in the world do you know so much about all these things??? You are so awesome.. You hunt, fish, bait your own hook, clean your own fish, gut your own game, skin your own game, BUTCHER your own game, build your own bows AND arrows, calibrate your scopes, and on and on and on. You are beyond amazing! I would give anything (almost) to have someone like you! Hey, is your mom available?? Just kidding. I have a question. Why didn't you just go back to the spot you hunted deer and get in the same tree you did earlier to hunt bear? You saw 3 bear from that tree, didn't you? Or was that another spot? One more thing....I think a few trips to the sporting clays range for Nick are in order! Please don't take offense, Nick! You are probably a better shot than me but we all get rusty. Love your videos, Allie and Nick. I always wait patiently for the next one. Maybe someday I'll get lucky enough to meet you two! Take care. God bless.
I’ve hunted there
Great place!
@@OutdoorsAllie yes it is I shot two roosters at that first spot abby flush those two
Allie, check out "Brownville's Pantry for Deer" Channel. 5 LIVE cams of oat fed Wild Deer 24/7. The interviews are cool with the home owner.
I'll check it out!
great video ... sometimes it happens that was a beautiful dear at the beginning of the video. agree very cool rack. would love to get more recipes.. keep up the incredible in action vids Allie. stay safe out there.
Thanks for the feedback Jon! More recipes to come.
Just curious, does anyone ever give you a hard time for being a hunter? People try to give me hell for hunting but Ive never seen anyone badmouthing those who eat cheeseburgers
Not too often, but yes occasionally.
Does anyone else get the urge to cuddle bears?
sheeshhhh 🔥
Привет друг с Дальнего Востока. Зашёл на ваш канал. Понравился. Остаюсь с вами. Забегайте ко мне в гости.
you guys need to shoot some clays😁😅JK
LOL yes we sure do.
@@OutdoorsAllie did your doggie roll her eyes at you a few times🙄lots of praise but no meat for her mouth😂😆
👍🤗❤️👌
Would you rather shoot a bear with a gun than a bow?
Yes.
