@heskicks - I'm wearing the Asics Fuji Lite 3. It's a trail shoe, low stack height but amazingly comfortable. I rotate daily between the NB fuel cell, more v4, but I find myself favoring the fuji lite. I hope you'd give it a go. I'd like to hear what you think.

Please continue with these kind of videos despite you don’t want to practice running. Don’t hear negative comments. Despite you are not using words from a running perspective, you always make a very nice review of the shoes in the casual side. I love it!

I also have become a fan of using running shoes primarily for comfort. I've tried different versions of 1080's, novablasts, cliftons, triumphs, and more. I recently found my favorite of them all and that's the Puma Deviate Nitro 2. It has a naturally wider toe box and midfoot, a very soft yet springy midsole, an outsole that grips and lasts, and is decent looking to boot. One of my favorite aspects is a midsole that is resistant to creasing. I love the comfort of New Balance's fresh foam x and fuelcell, Nike's zoomx, and asic's ff blast +/eco, but all of these technologies begin to show creasing after just a few uses (especially the zoomx). I've worn the nitro 2's for 150+ miles (walking) and they still have very little creasing. I believe the deviate nitro 3's are slated to come out this year and I'm psyched to give them a go.

Great video! I love the look of the Cloud Surfer, but I see a lot of retailer site reviews say they get super sqeaky after the first few weeks. Have you noticed this at all?
You always have cool sneakers. I built most of my collection around your reviews but now I'm on Western boots and find them to be more comfortable.
Try on a pair one day you & you will be shocked! Did you know if they have memory foam inside? I can walk much better in a boot, but I still need 1 more pair of sneakers.

Seeing people review shoes they are actually interested in is a huge part of the appeal 👍 especially when it's something different and not always just the 'hype'. Keep up the great work!

Try the Saucony Triumph. I think it’s better than the endorphin. I walk all over with it and it’s amazing.
You could pick up a pair of the 1080 unlaced w/ fresh foam X super cheap They kind of flopped but such a great lifestyle version. I wish they did the fresh foam Moore slip on for lifestyle.

Agree...NB FuelCell and FreshFoam lineup for 2024 would be "it"... but I'll add the Saucony Triumph 22 along the Endorphin Pro4 to the list as well!
endorphin line - speed is best for casual in my experience, unless they make the shift much softer. triumph 21 is my favorite saucony shoe for casual wear, while sort-of firm compared to supercomp or nimbus, really good for everyday wear.
try hoka mach 6 for us please, as you noted, mach x 2 is plated and less for casual wear
I know off topic but man I just got the new crocs mellow slides w the Velcro straps and these are my fav go to now. Can use w fat thick socks or skinny ones. And stack is tad bit higher. Soooo comfy

For casual you should try the Triumph 22! It has the same foam as the speed 4 but without the plate, they should be more stable and more suited for just walking.
I did the 21s i think maybe the saucony foam is just firmer than others it wasnt too soft but more responsive i think
@@heskicks yeah the 20 and 21 were on the firmer side. I don’t know about the news ones, maybe they soften up since the foam change!

Asics Superblast is on top of so many runner’s favorite shoe list. For your wife, depends on her pace.. but if she wants to push the pace a little. New Balance RC Elite 3, Asics Superblast, Hoka Rocket X2, or Saucony Endorphin Pro
The new balance rebel v4 and the sc elite v4 is already release here in asia. I already have the sc elite v4. One word, excellent. Its really bouncy though no longer mushy as before but still very comfortable. Its like have a veyron or ferrari on your feet when you run in it

I don’t like the ON cloudsurfer, it’s not soft (a bit comfy) than the cloud monster. Surfer after washing it start to have the squicky sound every time I walk
ASICS won the market with me last year….looks as if New Balance will take the throne this year. Some of those future release are absolute fire

As he started listing the greatest shows from the past I felt embarrassed to realize I own like half those shoes and I'm not even a heavy collector and don't make much money 🥹 once I got a pair of Ultra Boosts back in the day I didn't know it would send me down a spiral of max cushion comfort shoes for years to come, had the Invincible Runs V1, the NB Super Comp Trainers V1, and the absolutely beautiful and most comfortable shoes on earth, the NBxSIxTDS FC C1's shown @ 0:10, managed to cop those just as they released, they sold out damn near immediately after Hes' review of them, most expensive shoes I've ever bought, but they dropped right around my b-day and I couldn't pass them up, no regrets, still bouncin around in my moon shoes to this day 🥰

How is the toe box on the NB Fuel Cell?
I have to say trying the On cloud Eclipse is terrible to stand in. It’s great while you’re in motion but standing around I feel like it’s stretching and putting strain on my heel and foot bottom. Tired it with specialty insoles and the factory. I have flat feet for reference and have worn the shoe so far for a few days.
Man New Balance is kicking ass this year. Hope Saucony, Asics and Nike step up their game. Wish basketball shoes would be this cushiony and bouncy. I own Asics and New Balance need to get me some Saucony next.

I know Believe in the Run has invited you to do a collab. Maybe they can give you pointers when you start your running journey and you can give them recommendations on cool athleisure shoes. Kofuzi is also a good "non-Elite" runner RUclipsr that you can connect with. You making a review and doing at least a 2k run with the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 1 super shoe would be a fun watch, a respected shoe reviewer such as yourself might have the connections to make that happen.
Also you mentioned your wife is running a half-marathon sometime in the near future. If comfort is one of her considerations, I would recommend the ASICS SUPERBLAST. It's technically an "illegal shoe" because of the stack height but it really has a very comfortable ride !
If your wife is running a half marathon I suggest the adidas Boston 12 or the asics Superblast. Both are super trainers (have performance foams). The Superblast is more expensive and I think an overall more comfortable shoe. The Boston has fibreglass rods so they feel like a race shoe with just slightly less performant rods (vs carbon fibre rods).
Boston 12 is a little faster of a shoe. Superblast has been shoe of the year for a ton of runners. She needs to get a few kms in them to break them in though. Don’t out the box race them.
Mizuno Wave Sky 7 are worth checking out, IMO. They're roomy, well-built, and have a thick, pillowy cushioning with a surprising amount of responsiveness and stability. For casual wear, they have more of dad-shoe vibe than the edgy, exaggerated vibe of some of the newer max-cushion runners out there.
I think you can pick up running. It will give you a different perspective to how those shoes are designed / constructed. Just start with casual 15-30 min runs and who knows you might turn it into a habit! Cheers.

Can you put the name of each shoe somewhere on the screen when you show the pictures please. When you did New Balance you were showing so many different models and going through the pics quickly. No idea which model was which.
One thing is to post your weight. Because that cloud monster when you tried it the midsole just flatten but it never happened to me. I weigh 195lbs

Agreed on the invincible. The 1 and 2 are vastly superior to the 3. I want to like the 3, but it’s so cumbersome. They need to bring back the rocker platform.

The best Saucony shoes for casual use are definetely the Triumph. Triumph 21 is crazy good and the Triumph 22 will be even better.
I am definetely getting the Fresh Foam Balos when it will hit the market.

@@laoluomisade2438 I really do. I walk around 10 km per day going to work and back. I find it better than other shoes with softer foam midsoles because your feet do not sink in so much. Also it's softer than the recent ultraboost updates.

I'd say a goal for you is to run a 10k and half marathon this year. You have so much information about shoes and most are for running. Let's put all that to work and aim for some goals. I'm sure companies would love to sponsor you for all you do for them and even attach a charity to it. Your subs/followers really love you man and we appreciate all your time and insight to shoes.
The best shoes for running a half marathon are the ones that feel the best to you, whatever that means to you. Something you don’t even notice on your feet or whatever feels the most natural is always the best choice. If you ever have the chance to get yourself or your wife or whoever you need fitted at a running shoe store, that is also a great option and they will always appreciate you coming in and getting help! That’s what we’re here for!

Nike may be a more popular brand, but New Balance and Asics blow them away in comfort, fit, and style, IMHO.
Asics is insanely comfortable, I bought my first pair 6 months ago, totally blown away, life changer. Japanese brand so you know they put a lot of tech and thought into their products.
I got the NB with Freash Foam More cant go back to the regular shoes,they feel like stepping on stones.
Nike Inv 1 has a very fragile sole... it's just breaking up. Nike Inv. 3 is more solid but the upper is very plasticy.
I want zoom strobel with zoom x ! Nike make this happen .
The HOKA “influence” in Full effect 💯… All these brands comin’ w/ a thicker, bulkier cushioning type seems like no coincidence. I know NB and Sacony have had thicker cushioned models lately, but definitely seeing more Brands and models utilizing that Hoka type “big” cushion
