years ago I drove long distance to and through the hills of southwest iowa on my way to visit friends and do some hunting. slept overnight in my truck with my golden retriever jazz by a lake - listened deeply to this music. was a defining moment for me. only need to hear a portion of this wonderful music to feel it again.
Your comment brought me back to riding with my dad in his old truck to bring home the Christmas tree to the family. Same truck we would go hunting in. He is long passed, and I am now 70. Thanks for the memories.
Today I (we) awoke to the tragedy of five dead police officers in Dallas after tragedies of two citizens killed by police officers. When I put this beautiful music on and close my eyes I let the tears stream down my face and I wonder: why not this always?

had to have been 2006, major artist don't venture too much to Cincinnati, Ohio...they go to other major marketing venues. Anyway, Pat Metheny was playing at the Cincinnati, Zoo for a benefit concert, tickets were at least $75 +. Couldn't afford it with young family & all...so sat outside the zoo & heard every "NOTE!!" It wz fabulous...looked around others were outside the zoo laying on their cars, sitting on the sidewalk, on lawn chairs, standing around; what a beautiful nite for him to come to ohio.
