many thanks Rachel :)

ALEF COIMBRA Awesome! :)
Rachel's English Aghhh. I forgot a letter. Corrected, teacher. Thank you.
@marcoenrico Unfortunately, there are not any rules associated with this! English is just a crazy language in that regard.
thank you so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
the lessons are good thanks
It's the two back to back.
Isn' t this first sound /a/ same as the /ae/ sound? To me they sound the same.
thanks
muchras gracias :D
Thank you for a great video. I wonder if there is any rule that decides when ow sounds [aʊ] or [oʊ].
Ow in cow makes [aʊ] and ow in bowl makes [oʊ]. Or do we have to just memorize?
Without this vowel combo, there'd be no funk music. I submit that the second sound is \oo\ / \u\. The \ʊ\ is in between. Just because you don't always reach the full \oo\ doesn't mean that's not where you're headed.
Please, I want to learn English properly, what are Ktoat which I follow with Banani studying science in engineering
Thank you

Hi, Rachel so the first sound of the OW diphthong is similar to the first sound of the AI diphthong ?
could you please compare 'found' and 'fund' as the pronounciation is little bit confusing for me? Thanks!
Is the first sound of the diphthong [aʊ] (a) close to the pronunciation of the /ae/ vowel as in 'man'?
I'm driven crazy with this pair "Brawn -- Brown"...
dear rachel
this sound ah+ooh right?
Rachel,
Thanks for all your video.
To me,this diphthong first sound is more like /a/ and not like /ae/, please correct if i don't catch it correctly ?
fan palm Yes, you're right, is is [a]. We don't have that as a vowel in American English, only as a part of this diphthong. So I use the similarity to [æ] when comparing to other sounds in American English. :)
thanks a lot for your answer.Your videos are awesome and I wish had some English teacher like you when i was kid.
+Rachel's English Does that mean the first sound is the /a/ sound, but the tongue position just like the /ae/sound?
So the word/region "Curacao" has the 'ow' as in 'now', and not 'ow' as in 'sow' seeds??
The first sound does appear as a vowel in American English, unfortunately Americans started pronouncing it with an "a" sound as in "cat" rather than the "ah" sound as in father. I don't know when this transition took place, my guess is about 20 years ago, maybe some famous actress from Texas made it sound cute. But my ears are truly pained every time I hear an American who is not from the South saying words like now, town, down...and I'm American.
I have a question (it's quite dumb i think) but, what makes a difference when we speak the OW in NOW and de OW in SNOW ? I now that it's not the same pronunciation but, why?
