The G and W sounds are quite different. G is made with the tongue at the back of touching the back of the roof of the mouth/throat. For the W, the tongue will reach in that direction, but should not touch. Also, for the W the lips round into a tight circle. That might be what you're missing.

Yes, 'welcome' has a Dark L because it comes at the end of the syllable.

Right. People in American that are my age and younger tend to not put in the h sound before the W in these words. I've noticed my mother, however, does. :)

That is a really good job! Thank you! As a Greek I always used to substitute 'w' with 'ɣ'.
The letter X is pronounced a couple of different ways: [ks] as in 'expert', [z] as in 'xylophone', and [gz] as in 'exhibit'. So in English there is the letter X, but no 'X consonant'.

If you talk about the sounds... The v is realized with the upper lip touching the lower teeth, and then you try to blow air through it and using your vocal cords simultaneously. Without your voice you would have an f sound. The w sound is already explained in this video.

Can I put the sound w instead of the sound ʊ in the diphthongs aʊ and oʊ? I tend to transcribe them as aw and ow, and I round my lips for them as tight as in w at the beginning of words.
Hello! This is a great question. If it helps you to think of it that way, I think that is fine. Though I will say that rounding the lips to the W position and pronouncing the W are very different.

Hello! I feel vibration in my throat. My tongue is lifted in the back but low in the front, and my lips are, of course, rounded. It may help to make a small "oo" sound as you practice this to help you feel more comfortable.

or I have only to round my lips and make the sound and not to release the air specially when we say the sound separately not in a word.
The google speech to text or speech search cannot pick up my w, especially in we~(wheel) and "want". It always thinks it is an r or v. I think I need to know how to open the lips after moving from the tightened w to the different vowels.
Today I was talking to a Canadian girl, native speaker, and she told me that my pronunciation of 'good' and 'would' are very similar she said my problem was the 'w' sound, but I don't really notice the difference, they sound kind of the same for me, my native language is Spanish, any advice?
