Not in my market. I get maybe 2-3 DD orders a day. Some bangers, some non tips but less than 1mile since it’s a small town. Doing spark though, usually 80-200/day because they tip well and not over saturation with drivers.

Just a friendly reminder that if you want to prolonge the life of your transmission don't shift from D to R and vise versa before the car comes to a complete stop, because there is internal parts that wear out since they're not designed to withstand the friction happening from that.

In those situations you can press I’ve arrived at the restaurant then proceed to press a highlighted/underlined prompt at the bottom of the order screen (I forgot what it says) then press store line is long/busy or food is still being prepared and they wont penalize you for being late. Hope that helps you for future orders.

  • @TheBetterManInBlack

With a consistent 70%+ acceptance rate since I started dashing, the number of shop and delivers continues to go up as a percentage of offers, and accounts for the vast majority of declined orders since I've noticed that almost NObody who orders S&D thinks your time is worth squat.
In my area, premium pay is anything over $1 per mile.
Also, at every McDonald's in my area, they keep the orders behind the counter until you show them your screen with the proper number on it, specifically due to the large number of lowlifes who steal orders. Chik-fil-a is the same way. Apparently, it's become a common thing for general purpose criminals to just wander in holding a phone, grab random orders they can reach, and leave on the assumption that nobody will realize they're not genuine dashers until they're well gone.

No rewards program here, yet, but I have noticed less high paying orders with my 30% AR. Sure, I still get them, just not as many. Maybe it's that people are tipping less. I'm still not convinced that having a high AR gets you better orders, and there's no way to prove it.

No difference in scheduling, no difference in Dash Now. I get $4.50 for 1.5 miles with the sign saying my Silver status qualified me for the high paying order. I still get $2 for 7 mile offers. I just lost Silver status yesterday because I declined 2 stacked orders at the end of my shift, one was $3.50 for 8 miles and the other was $7 for 19 miles. Now I'm at 59% and I could care less.

If the customer didn't want it I would 100% take it 😂 impossible to return it to the restaurant for food safety reasons and I guarantee DD would say the same thing.

Oh it's that pizza sauce on your chin, Mike 🤔😉
I would keep that pizza. The store would probably toss it away, so why waste food.

If the customer doesn't want it the restaurant wouldn't be able to take it back. Years ago I had a customer cancel the order while I was on my way to deliver. Contacted support and they said to 'dispose of it as you see fit' (paraphrasing) aka hey you can keep it in those rare situations. Maybe the customer was running late for something and had to cancel the order.

@@YourDriverMike Yeah, for safety reasons the store wouldn't accept it, as you said in the video. IDK, if the pizza was good (if I knew the restaurant made good pizza), I would first offer it to myself, especially if I was hungry; unless the customer left I good tip, the I'd offer it to them.

@6:50 just because you are 2% away from your goal DOESN'T mean 2 completions will get you there. It all depends on how many declines you had 100 ago. I don't understand why drivers can't figure out a "rolling 100" method. If you declined 5 in a row 100-95 offers ago, you might have to accept 7 or more to gain 2 completion points.

How do we even know how much it'll increase by bc we don't know how many accepts/declines are in those last orders? Pretty confusing system for dashers

She did 🍕 can't go back to the restaurant so one of us has to take it. Default goes to the customer, feel like it's bad karma to just take it for yourself without asking the customer

The truth is the MBA that thought up this business model figured out that the companies could market these services so the driver would survive on a tip making up the difference because they are taking the majority of the exorbitant fee that they are charging the customer...(the customer obviously looks down on this person delivering their groceries, its a class prejudice)
We vote with our vote, but we also vote with our money....Just because a company is telling you its a tip doesn't make it so...ITS A DELIVERY FEE YOU CAN LOOK DOWN ON THE POOR SLUB DOING THE JOB, but you can't complain when your benefiting from the system.
would you deliver 100lbs of groceries for $10...using you car? Your Gas? No? but you sure have no problem using that "Delivery boy" for your needs
Until these companies treat human beings with common respect and value ... Stop using them

The AI support basically said unassign with NO pay. I wonder if the AI is being used as a slight block to dashers getting at least partial payment as that's another step (aka requesting an agent) and some might not know to do that.

Why would you take food back to a restaurant if they made the mistake and gave it to you they're going to take it and they're going to throw it in the f****** garbage so it is an essence you just threw it in the garbage because what you think they were going to be able to f****** save their mistake and get the money for that pizza who gives a f*** they cost less than a dollar when you're making them in bulk. And besides you have no idea what people do with things and I'll leave it to your imagination to wonder or ask what those things are
