Today, I had an order from a gas station and did like 1.7 miles for a little over $6. It turns out the customer ended up taking the tip away, and they gave me a thumbs down for no reason when everything was done right
Thanks Mike for your videos, very helpful. I got scammed once on DD for the same reason, customer said they didn’t get their order. I was suspicious from the start when DD asked to get a signature on a food delivery. I thought that was pretty odd. My suspicions were correct!
I had someone try this on me. I use an app that uses GPS and coordinates and includes it on the bottom right of the picture. I told the rep what happened, and they saw the picture with the correct number of the house. I took a month off of doing doordash, and to this day, I avoid that restaurant still. Lol, the rep took the contract violation off and told me the customer will no longer be able to order from that app. With was about 2yrs ago.

Delivered a pizza on Uber eats, Louisville KY, customer texted me the pin. Said meet at door but customer didn't answer after knocking. Left pizza at door..of course no pic because I had entered pin and it closed out order. Uber later calls, apparently customer complained they didn't receive order..Uber asks how I got the pin so I say customer texted it to me, he says ok I'll take it from here. Text is On their app so they I'm sure can see it, plus GPS shows I was in front of their apartment building..scams are unreal!!
Why doesn't Uber eats do something ffs? They can clearly see your location but nooo it's this BS customers are always right and Uber eats wears a frigging blindfold believing the customer. 😮💨🤦🏻
This happened to me on Door delivered it, took picture of the delivery as the app requires, then same person tried it the next very night, caught on and removed myself from the order.
When I first started dd, I had a cv for the same thing and I’ve taken screenshots ever since. I also had a customer say hey, my ride came early can I just meet you there and get it from you and then say they never got it. So that will never happen to me again lol. I get so mad. DD should have the pic and the phone calls why do I have to get a cv first. Anyway, any cv I’ve gotten have always been immediately removed so at least there’s that.
I’ve run into a couple times where, during an alcohol delivery, someone else (usually husband/boyfriend) will show up to the door with their spouse’s/partner’s ID. Obviously the first step is to confirm sobriety but I’ve told the person that I need the customer who’s on the account. I’ve received pushback from the customers stating I’m the only one who does it “by the book” which suggests most drivers just scan whatever ID is given to them. Also customers who have expired licenses/IDs shouldn’t be allowed to order alcohol. I wasted an hr driving to return alcohol back after finding out the customer’s ID expired 6 months prior
But, of all the countries in the world, only the US has the fetish for having to check IDs. Last time I checked we are the only country with a minimum age of 21.
I noticed an uptick in "pin required" orders lately. Most of those are from crappy/no tippers anyways. I usually don't take those. I'm just glad Uber is cracking down on these scammers with this pin thing. The pin is almost acknowledging that "this customer" has been trouble in the past and is on probation
I have signed up to deliver. Not yet active , Yes Im that new. I appreciate the ton of info you are providing. I just need to keep some cash coming in during these ridiculous times. I own a construction company and am full licensed and accredited. Yea I know, that's funny but not in a HA HA kind of funny.
I think it was my first or second day of delivering with Door Dash where I had an order that said it should be handed to the customer. I knocked twice and text. I could hear him hushing his dog. He never answered the door but I didn’t know if maybe he changed his mind on the delivery method or what. I was t familiar enough to know how to change to taking the photo so I preemptively called support.
I learned the hard way as well from DD. I screenshot every scene and take a photo of the whole house and number along with where I leave the order because people can and are liars.
Yeah. Did delivery a few days ago. The customer put the wrong address. As soon as I walked into the building, they texted me, letting me know that they were not at that location and put the wrong address. Then, they processed to report me and gave me a contract violation... Called support, told then that i have evidence... opened a dispute.
I got deactivated on DD on Feb because 2 people on post in a week falsely claimed I took off with their McDonalds(gross) and ice cream(lactose intolerant) and refused to reactivate me. I washed my hands of that app.
@@YourDriverMike First was a leave at door. I didn't have a free hand to take my phone up and naturally it was in 2 bags. The second was a hand it to me that timed out. I took pictures of where it was left and made sure it was left in a public area. About 2 hours after that, I got deactivated on a double. And lost the $74 earned that shift. Those were about 6 days apart. Both on a military installation. Both to barracks. Just because someone's enlisted doesn't make them honest.
It is good you mention google maps. It will track your location times everything if you turn it on. Every place I go time, date and coords. It tracks you constantly rather your in maps or not.
Uber urgently needs to improve its system to deal with dishonest customers who are rare but troublesome. If you receive a bad rating or a false complaint about missing food, you have no option to challenge it. You have to waste hours on the phone to defend yourself, but the stain on your account remains. The same applies to ratings. I have never seen a negative rating removed even when I had proof. Support just tells me to do more deliveries and it will eventually go away. It’s ridiculous because we veterans know how to spot the warning signs. We have to decide between canceling the delivery or putting our income and account at risk.
I once had to get a signature for a delivery. Not sure if that's a thing in the US but it only happened once where I live. They had to actually sign a box on my phone
This happened to me today. A customer messaged me with an address change and said they just got out of the hospital then asked me to come inside and hand deliver the food. Longer story short... I called police to investigate.
I been driving door dash Earn by time. for three weeks I have driven 7 days, after Christmas Eve averaged out my pay vs active time and its just above $25 an hour. So its been a really active month. I have heard that the first week of the new year may be slow. I am in the Dayton/Cincinnati market in Ohio. So far its been worth it.
If cant get a hold of the person who ordered and its a hand it to then. Just return it to the restaurant. Dont even risk getting false accusations against you. As once it gets returned to the restaurant and its reported that returned do to cant complete delivery. Record's are already there and easy to verify that it was returned as well.
On Christmas no less. I JUST opened an UberEats account and a pin is required for all orders. My BF has been on UE forever and it is not required. Might just be a new signup thing.
Busy stretch on forbes, used to love forbes and murray, ton of restaurants in a small area, quit going there cause of the parking changes. Mike has this impacted you?
i hate the customers that have a pin its so annoying..and hand it to me customers take forever to answer the door or they are super sussy...also i found out the other day the PIN for uber eats customers is the last four of there phone number
do you have to have the app up if you want to receive orders? how do you work both? can i split screen on my phone an bring up both apps if it allows you?
How do u get away with picking up an order on another app while your uber customer is watching you, wondering why youre driving around randomly. Couldnt that lead to them lowering your tip?
Remember the PIN number is the last 4 of their phone number where the order was placed from, so next time trick them asking them for the last 4 of their phone number instead of "PIN". Follow me for more tricks!
I don't know about in the USA but here in the UK, if the customer has lost their pin somehow we can try the last 4 digits of their mobile (cell) phone number. I had that issue once with a customer and we were on the third try and it worked. Of course this is a slightly different scenario as I was speaking with the customer face to face and didn't think she was scamming. I just wanted her to get her food.
i once had a pin number drop off. customer would not give me their pin number because they never sonic forgot a drink. the customer ended up cancelling the order. i couldnt drop it off after 10 minutes
I will say that I have been doing Uber for over a year and seen crazy things. But the the orders that I get for food are so bad. More then 80% are a mile or less per order. I have had to deny about 10 $2 orders per hr and they are the same order most of the time. I went from a 60% acceptance to a 9% acceptance rate. That call is that bad.
Hey there Mike!! Wow! 135K subscribers…you go Mike! Good to see that you’re still making videos and even doing deliveries. I’m about to sign up with GoShare but not happy about the $49 background check. But I definitely need the money these days..what do you think? Lots of Deliveries here in LA do you think?
We had a $3 order from McDonald's for .7 mile (typical McDonald's order) we took it because its quick then got a call from the customer pretending to be doordash telling us to cancle the order and asked us to varify our phone number and email and texted us a link to click to varify our number...
DD customer tried to say I didnt deliver... Good thing I have a go pro... But what if I didnt, there would not be a way to prpve I delivered because it was a "hand it to me" order.
Same thing happened to me, tho order didnt required pin it was in tall building and i couldnt reach customer and waited for timer to expire and left it iniside building entrance. Next day i saw message in my app inbox contract violation, called uber support and they said customer never received their food. They only thing they told me to be careful since multiple violations will result in diactivation. Basically even if customer scams driver will suffer and will be diactivated. Really pathetic on uber part.
When i did uber eats in early 2022 i was able to always bypass the pin i forgot the exact buttons but to close the order out i think i hit the button were it says if you had any idsues. One option was no pin. You click it then proceed to closing out without pin. And i always did that even when people forget to give you the pin or i forgot to ask for it sometimes theyl remeber and tell.me.hey the pin is 2xxx im like dont worry abt it and drive off. Like you really think a pin is going to keep me from stealing some fries. So check if that option is still available. Also id never wait 8 minutes the timer can be activated sooner and can be outrunned by continuesly pressing the delivered button. If anything call support as the timer counts down so you dont waste further time
Hey, I know you say Uber eats no longer has surge pay, but I often see on the weekends in the evenings if it is raining or other bad weather conditions I see base pays much higher even seen some for $25. Is this potentially what replaced Uber eats surge pay or is there something else that causes the base pay to be significantly higher on certain days?

I heard they have tip bait on Uber Eats which is why folks prefer Doordash
that’s insane story, this happened to me once the customer rated me that it wasn’t the same person dropping off her items and now i just really why she just wanted free items,
thanks for your content love it!
That's Y I don't undastan. GPS showz where we are so Y evn contact us about lyin customerz??
Anyway, any cv I’ve gotten have always been immediately removed so at least there’s that.
only reason they did that is so you dont remember where their house is. people are insane.
Xmas day I went out for a cpl hrs b4 plans and the amount of no tip orders was absolutely just unbelievable
I'm from New Zealand...
Very poor given Rate..
Merry Christmas 🎉. This week is slow for me. Went back yesterday to DD. Ugh
Did a delivery on DoorDash customer say leave at the door which I did and snap a picture. Customer said I never deliver the food 😂 😂 unbelievable.
When possible when I take a picture if the house numbers are near by on the house I try to get the house numbers in the picture with the order.
Twice in one week wow. They even say 1 isn’t enough but a few might lead to deactivation.
No pin i keep food and call door dash
No PIN on uber = NO FOOD I will take that right home. Uber can be notified about no pinn they have no food returns uber eats.
People ordering fast food to be delivered to them is ultimate laziness!
Always call support. Same thing happened to me
I once had to get a signature for a delivery.
U serious?? 😳 must b good 2U. I did that 1nce. Nevr again
The PIN is typically the last 4 of the phone number customer used. Everytime customer is unsure what it is, I tell them this and then it works.
Gee, I never answer calls that say potential spam
I'm amazed that you'd take an order for 3.50. Add on or not that's terrible. So many things can go wrong for 3.50.
At that point I’m just keeping it there
I've had days where I just hit a groove on uber eats and its back to back bangers, and I barely touch doordash
Uber and Dash ought to have a way to let drivers report these customers to the police. That’s theft of services.
Same scams have been happening to me and I’ve been dinged for it. I not take additional pics. I like the pin idea tho.
Does Uber support see the pictures you take when you deliver?
That's where taking a photo comes in handy😂.. Otherwise it just wastes your time😂
I get constant prders on door dash being paltium bc im at the top allmost perfect scores
How long do you recommend to keep screenshots or pictures of these things? In the case of a customer stating that they didn’t receive their order
that's happen to me twice. on door dash 1 more time and I'm deactivated, i guess. it is sad. and they know i put it in their hand.
I HATE PIN deliveries!!!! I too got scammed!
Had an absolute horrible morning. 1.5 hrs $8 😢 uber eats most orders 12 mils $5 declined all
i hate the customers that have a pin its so annoying..and hand it to me customers take forever to answer the door or they are super sussy...also i found out the other day the PIN for uber eats customers is the last four of there phone number
do you have to have the app up if you want to receive orders? how do you work both? can i split screen on my phone an bring up both apps if it allows you?
Dumb question... when you were showing low order, low order, were those dollar amounts the total of the order or a low tip you were turning down?
How do u get away with picking up an order on another app while your uber customer is watching you, wondering why youre driving around randomly. Couldnt that lead to them lowering your tip?
What a bum. Whenever your intuition tells you something it’s usually right. Always how it is
Remember the PIN number is the last 4 of their phone number where the order was placed from, so next time trick them asking them for the last 4 of their phone number instead of "PIN". Follow me for more tricks!
About that very last line 🤔 ummm... ill jus say it can b eazily misinterpreted lol
Nice zip up! I have the same one
See you at EDC for my 8th year ✌🏼
@@YourDriverMike I haven’t been to Vegas since 2012…but I’ve been to Orlando every year since 2014!
That person is getting a piece of coal through their window. Ho Ho Ho M-Fer!!
Fill out a police report. Also always take screenshots of address.
i once had a pin number drop off. customer would not give me their pin number because they never sonic forgot a drink. the customer ended up cancelling the order. i couldnt drop it off after 10 minutes
Not startin my car 4 less than $5. Ur tyme, effort & nrg are werth more. $3 iz disrespeckful. This ain't 1980
@@UltraInstinct-yn1ft oh i like the $3 orders, they are usually just up tge road and i can fo 15 in a hour. Quick and not alot of driving
I think the pin is random. They randomly ask make me give the driver a pin .
DD customer tried to say I didnt deliver... Good thing I have a go pro... But what if I didnt, there would not be a way to prpve I delivered because it was a "hand it to me" order.
That has happened to me. It's awful.
I saw surge pay today for the lunch period so for about 1hours but i am not complaining
It's complete BS how you can not see delivery details after you deliver for your own protection in the app.
Anytime ur customer does not remember pin..its usually last 4 digits of their phone number just f.y.i.
Don't you have to order over $15 for free delivery?
I hope that customer got kicked off of the platform
The pin shows in their order screen
