Why do I have in preferences a verified pizza bag but every pizza delivery I have to take photo of pizza bag to be verified??? and after order is in bag they want a photo of receipt? The receipt thing is random just like with other deliveries so you don't think about it and put in your bag then have to take back out to photo receipt? Ridiculous!
How about they add a pay to wait feature? .25 cent per minute minimum added to the driver's offer. We're payed for the delivery only but waste our own time waiting for free. They win while we lose big-time. 😮

Very much agree. No tip offers should be blocked by DD. And, I'm in a rural town of 4,000 and 5 square miles, in rural county in east central TN. Not only is my area super saturated with local drivers, but DD is allowing dashers from a larger market some 30 miles away to schedule here, as well. They especially schedule here when there's promo offers. I figured out, too, that they schedule in my market because it's "easy pickings" compared to having to drive in their heavier traffic market. I have never seen DD limit how many dashers are allowed to schedule here.
Platinum is useless in my area because everyone is Platinum status, and soon as they do peak pay bonuses everyone jumps on and the orders immediately die because too many dashers and not enough orders, and without Platinum its nearly impossible to schedule.
I can't and don't see as many Platinum dashers in my area from the way they handle orders, i.e-no insulated bags, standing around gossiping, driving with a vehicle full of other people having their kids do the delivery, and one glaring example where the Dasher was driving while her mother (non-dasher) did the pickup and delivery (this was admitted to me).
we already have these features in California and have had it over a year.. So its nothing new for us.. Maybe in some States its a new feature. But I can attest to say that the shop and pay orders for me has been great with good high paying orders.. I will take shop and pay any day.. For one, you save on gas because you are making money by shopping and not driving... and two, your not sitting around at a restaurant waiting for an order to be ready which can waste a lot of time and profit.. That's just my opinion and it is a bonus for my everyday dashing.. Thanks for the great content Mike.. 💯💯💯
I've had preference since I started 😂 Also, I start my dash from before I leave my house, cuz if the order ain't worth me leaving my house, I ain't going lmao
I drove for Uber 7 years at a 5.0 no lower than a 4.9 . I moved to Vegas with having to register my car new license etc I needed to make some money now. I signed up and started dashing. I took every ride before I knew it, I completed 80 trips . Giving attention to message letting me know I was close to platinum. Completing the Hundred. Now I can say. That since I turned platinum my pick ups or less slowed down. Good thing 1 Being able to Dash when you want.
yes a filter where you can set it to a max amount of items for shop and deliver and also one on weight as well. So many times I've taken orders that are big cases of bottled water or other really heavy things that are hard to me to carry
Mike I have dasher direct and just love it. All the features I’m seeing you show for Crimson is the same. There’s really no downside to it. Plus it works with my Apple Pay so if I leave the card at home, I can still pay for gas from my phone!!
I haven't dashed or sparked in a few months. It was only something to do for a while. I've been with DD for about 18 months. I compared my gasoline charges. Not dashing I spend less than $100 on gas. In my busiest months I was spending $350 to $400. Plus the wear and tear on my car. Plus commercial driving insurance cost $100 a month extra. So unless I am doing DD or spark as a main source of income not to mention the time sitting and waiting.... not worth it.
I did an alcohol delivery and the lady couldn’t find her ID. So I had to return it. DoorDash still paid me the full amount of the original fare + $11 extra dollars to return the item to the store. If it were a case a beer I would’ve kept it lol
I hope everyone also realize that these companies have data that shows we reject low paying orders and main accept good ones. They know that already they just focus on share holder value and cutting cost.
Not only are they missing some point spreads, but their proportions are off, comparing percentages to points , when both drop or increase, in some brackets.
I'd love a zone based preferences toggle. A lot of my declines is based on location. I don't want to deliver to downtown LA. Even if it's high paying. It's just a difficult delivery in a car. Would love to exclude certain locations or set distance limits.
Why is there a system that forces you to complete all orders even bad ones why your suppose to be a contractor. The rewards program only makes sense if you are a employee of the company.
Yes I've had preferences for over a month here in Columbus Indiana but most of the time I'm locked with it turned on "Due to lack of qualified dashers"
GTTA get that platinum status my friend..AR% matters just accept it all and you'll get there faster that's what I did now I can dash whenever instead of scheduling
@@BraddahRob808 YEAH.... I CAN GET IN THE EVENING AFTER WORK AND WORK ALMOST EVERY NIGHT. I GET ORDERS FOR SHORT DISTANCES AT 8%... I AM NOT GONNA RAISE IT TO GET THE SAME THING
If they are really looking to better the dash system, than they need to look into gaping the time between when the restaurant receives the order and when the dasher gets the offer. While I enjoy the new hourly for these restaurant wait times, I still feel I'm missing out on a potential $20 dollar tip. And for my area that's 10 times more than the average tip I'll get!
To be able to apply to the dasher relief fund for natural disasters and just in general you have to have a certain amount of deliveries to be able to apply.
My problem is not AR. It is 100 deliveries/30 days. I don’t get enough offers to even get close to 100/30 days. In a scheduled 2 hour dash, I feel LUCKY to get 3 offers in 2 hours. Too many drivers in my market is part of the problem. SO FRUSTRATING!!
I wish they would let you choose exactly where your comfortable deliver at. Not preset zones! Also i turned these options off however they Still send me to retail stores when im not set up for that
In my market for the last few months, I am unable to turn off shop and pay preferences. According to the app, there are not enough qualified dashers for shop and pay so whoever is opt in, they can not opt out.
I'm platinum i've been for 3 months or so it's not worth it there isn't enough good offers only reason I'm keeping it is because I can't dash without the dash now i might as well just be an employee
Preferences suck. I opted out all of the shopping, alcohol, etc. What did Door Trash do? Disabled opt out!..yes, they did. Some crap about not having enough qualified dashers... well that's bs cause my market is just as oversaturated as the next. I'm Platinum.. there is zero difference between Gold and Platinum.. your welcome i just saved you a ton of miles. This Dasher rewards tanked before it fell out the gate and yes they are shoving the card down our throats too ..no thank you. The only single positive thing I have to say is Mike great video.. informative and useful.
Believe me it’s not worth it. I took that LITTLE loss to get to the Gold tier and believe me it’s not little at all .. I kept accepting those 5$ orders driving long distances and even less than 5$ I did accept one before for just 3.75$ !!! And guess what !!! I am still not getting any of those big orders !
After all that you should have got some big orders. If there's too many high tier dashers there might not be enough good orders to go around. What's DD gonna do when everyone finds out it's not worth it.
I recently had the driver preference tab added in my market. I am so happy to finally be able to turn of alcohol deliveries. In my market, there is really only 2 liquor stores to cover a pretty large market, and their tips are never enough to make the delivery worth it (always backwards offers). Every night around 10 pm the alcohol order start pinging left and right, and can kill my AR rating in just a few minutes. Now that I can turn them off, I'm probably saving 20-25 alcohol declines a week, and my AR is a little easier to keep platinum.
Im new, only 13 dashes. My question is, when i click on dash now, it says $12/hr plus tips. When i accept the order, it changes to earn per offer. Why is that ? Thx
they need to be able to uncheck location deliveries simply because i cant begin to tell you about little ceazars and gettin order after order and still getting my ratings effected after i unassign from a slow location then boom another one from same location its like nothin is coming out of this place anytime soon if they wanted to fix the issues simply allow a dasher after so much time to be able to switch to EBT because or after so long add a 25 cent base pay for so much time of waitin on a order this will fix the distance drives and fix wait time on not just the dasher but for keepin up order ready at locations and data collection from certain merchants
Cash on delivery please call customer before leaving restaurant these customers be on some shady stuff get there they not available you have to carry back to store save time call customer
Not everyone has access to these options. It depends on your market. My market only allows shop a delivery Alcohol Cash delivery Pizza delivery which does not have a toggle.
Mike, have you heard of a new DD offer type called "Round Trip Deliveries"? Apparently you pickup the order, deliver it and the customer pays you by cash or check. Then you take the payment back to the store. You get paid for the round trip. My only question is if the customer pays more in cash than the actual amount of bill, does the driver need to provide change? I never carry cash on me. That's what debit/credit cards are for. Not sure 8f it is in all markets, but is being marketed in the Seattle area.
Yeah I just seen this pop up in my email offer. I opted in. Just going to check out what this is about. That was also a worry for me. I definitely don't like the cash option. But we will see.
I like dashing because Im not being Micromanaged or being tied down to a schedule. My problem is the waiting, sometimes I'll wait for over 2 hours for an order. Im having to learn patience 😂. I wish they would bring back the rate the restaurant feature. Some of these locations have terrible service for bothe the customers and the drivers. And a rate the delivery overall with a never deliver to this location again option.😂
Top dasher now Platinum. Door Dash let me Dash anytime. Now no more in Milton Fl., can only Dash now when busy. Have gone back to schedule like when I started. With platinum rating you can schedule 6 days in advance if time is available. If not platinum, 1 day at a time. My earnings have dropped by a third. Great going Door Dash! Why go for Platinum when you take away my Dash anytime ability? Drivers in my area are quitting because of this.
But with Uber, they give you the option to just do shop orders. And with DoorDash they just give you the option to shop and deliver, but that’s also included with the food delivery..
I REALLY DONT COMMENT MUCH ON THESE TYPE COMMENTARIES BUT THIS GUY IS ON POINT! ALSO THESE PLATFORMS NEED TO HAVE A MINIMUM OF AT LEAST 5.00 AND NO ORDER WITH 2 PICKUPS UNDER 12.00

For so long that they already removed the feature in my area
What is shop and pay??
I've had preference since I started 😂
Also, I start my dash from before I leave my house, cuz if the order ain't worth me leaving my house, I ain't going lmao
I had an order the other day picking up packages from a customers house and bringing it to the post office.
Is this something new? I never heard about this kind of delivery.
Me too. Accepted then I declined after I meet the person.
@@danielwerra7093. What happened? I have gotten only one but I declined. Mostly because I didn't understand how it worked .
How about a Filter that says (1) 10 miles or more (2) $3/$2 a mile or more
The new map sucks
I drove for Uber 7 years at a 5.0 no lower than a 4.9 . I moved to Vegas with having to register my car new license etc I needed to make some money now. I signed up and started dashing. I took every ride before I knew it, I completed 80 trips . Giving attention to message letting me know I was close to platinum. Completing the Hundred. Now I can say. That since I turned platinum my pick ups or less slowed down. Good thing 1 Being able to Dash when you want.
"More ways to trick people into working for free!" Is what this should say.
For free? I just started last week & made over $1,000 in 6 days
I get better offers in gold than I do in platinum.
They're building a roundabout on highway 171 South in Leesville Louisiana and I got a violation for that and they want to deactivate me
yes a filter where you can set it to a max amount of items for shop and deliver and also one on weight as well. So many times I've taken orders that are big cases of bottled water or other really heavy things that are hard to me to carry
Every single time door dash comes out with new features, programs, things always get worse. ALWAYS. I have zero hope this time will be any different.
nobody talks to me I'm a driver!!! First thing I'd tell them they need to raise base pay. Next thing they need to stop playing games with drivers
Thanks for being so honest about your comeback. I've been there.
Mike I have dasher direct and just love it. All the features I’m seeing you show for Crimson is the same. There’s really no downside to it. Plus it works with my Apple Pay so if I leave the card at home, I can still pay for gas from my phone!!
Yuppers. Same here. I have had it for over a year. It's great.
If they were truly listening and talking to us drivers. Base pay would be $5 accross the board. They are not talking to us or listening to us.
I hate the reward program. I also hate getting into support for issues with the orders!
They have a new mapping - direction system, it takes a long time to say what it's saying. Go past my drop off cuz it takes to much.
I did an alcohol delivery and the lady couldn’t find her ID. So I had to return it. DoorDash still paid me the full amount of the original fare + $11 extra dollars to return the item to the store. If it were a case a beer I would’ve kept it lol
They let me keep the food last week.I paused dashing then took the food to my kids 😊.
Hi I'm listening and learning from you from AZ. I'm 3 days new to Dashing.
I hope everyone also realize that these companies have data that shows we reject low paying orders and main accept good ones. They know that already they just focus on share holder value and cutting cost.
Not only are they missing some point spreads, but their proportions are off, comparing percentages to points , when both drop or increase, in some brackets.
Why would I refer a friend when the market is so oversaturated and I literally sat my whole 2 hr shift this morning with no offer
You should get more pay per dasher reward plus peak pay
That’s what dasher direct is. Access right away!
DoorDash don’t pay enough 🤷🏽♂️
Yes I've had preferences for over a month here in Columbus Indiana but most of the time I'm locked with it turned on "Due to lack of qualified dashers"
They didn't renew the contract with payfare that's why we are getting crimson
Door dash needs Allow me to dash now instead bs scheduling.
Too many people dashing in your area at that point. Either wait it out or get your dasher status up. Grind harder
@@Bakunawa661 im platnium, with good rating and good ar.
Plat is 70% in florida
To be able to apply to the dasher relief fund for natural disasters and just in general you have to have a certain amount of deliveries to be able to apply.
Dude says reduce dashers, does that mean you are the first volunteer? Thank you in advance.
I have dasher direct i love having my earnings after my shift.
The dasher rewards tier program sucks for partime dashers, the rolling 100 deliveries is total bs and in my area we need 80% absolutely crazy
80% AR for Silver and Platinum in Los Angeles
70 in east coast. NH to BOston Mass.
That's bs so called flexibility but i haven't had a chance to get a schedule for 3 months now and can't dash now
Hey, the schedule usually comes out at midnight so try setting a timer that you can get the shift after midnight.
@@belief831I've tried everything then before they changed the time to the afternoon n still couldn't get a time slot
I'm platinum i've been for 3 months or so it's not worth it there isn't enough good offers only reason I'm keeping it is because I can't dash without the dash now i might as well just be an employee
A friend of mine does DD to supplement income, she lives in TN and right now so many roads have washed out she can't even use the navigation.
I don't love dashing. I need to make my ends meet so this helps me.
But if you do 100 delivers a month you can't be gold.
AZ already have all the preferences you showed for a few months.
I have dasher preferences in WA. I turned off alcohol deliveries.
Mike... I'm gettingno orders on UE or DD my stats are great. What can I do to get orders?
I recently had the driver preference tab added in my market. I am so happy to finally be able to turn of alcohol deliveries. In my market, there is really only 2 liquor stores to cover a pretty large market, and their tips are never enough to make the delivery worth it (always backwards offers). Every night around 10 pm the alcohol order start pinging left and right, and can kill my AR rating in just a few minutes. Now that I can turn them off, I'm probably saving 20-25 alcohol declines a week, and my AR is a little easier to keep platinum.
GH doesn’t charge a stupid fee to withdraw YOUR money and you can withdraw as many times as you want
Nice! Thanks for the heads up. Just checked Uber has a $1.25 instant cash out fee
GH charges me .50 to instantly withdraw my money.
Those preferences are not new. This is old stuff. Why are we talking about that?
Im new, only 13 dashes. My question is, when i click on dash now, it says $12/hr plus tips. When i accept the order, it changes to earn per offer. Why is that ? Thx
I turned off the alcohol delivery. I hate those orders.
they need to be able to uncheck location deliveries simply because i cant begin to tell you about little ceazars and gettin order after order and still getting my ratings effected after i unassign from a slow location then boom another one from same location its like nothin is coming out of this place anytime soon if they wanted to fix the issues simply allow a dasher after so much time to be able to switch to EBT because or after so long add a 25 cent base pay for so much time of waitin on a order this will fix the distance drives and fix wait time on not just the dasher but for keepin up order ready at locations and data collection from certain merchants
I asked on reddit if they had any tips for new drivers and they said to stay out of their market.
Cash on delivery please call customer before leaving restaurant these customers be on some shady stuff get there they not available you have to carry back to store save time call customer
Apparently beaver county Pa doesn't have alcohol delivery... I'm like 30 min from Pittsburgh
Not everyone has access to these options. It depends on your market. My market only allows
shop a delivery
Alcohol
Cash delivery
Pizza delivery which does not have a toggle.
Lynchburg VA has had Preferences for some time now.
Had a customer who wanted 10 50lbs bags of dog food for 7 dollars 😂...i unassigned so quick
I just got an email about this today. I’m on the Phoenix area.
@CoreyBrowne-q2j Used to live in Mesa 45 years before moving to the Seattle area. Been here 9 years this month.
Yeah I just seen this pop up in my email offer. I opted in. Just going to check out what this is about. That was also a worry for me. I definitely don't like the cash option. But we will see.
@@paulamiller6073 I opted in as well, we will see!
None these programs work in our favor just theirs
Top dasher now Platinum. Door Dash let me Dash anytime. Now no more in Milton Fl., can only Dash now when busy. Have gone back to schedule like when I started. With platinum rating you can schedule 6 days in advance if time is available. If not platinum, 1 day at a time. My earnings have dropped by a third. Great going Door Dash! Why go for Platinum when you take away my Dash anytime ability? Drivers in my area are quitting because of this.
I don't have dashlink on my preferences but my next door neighbor does have the link. How can I qualify to get that link?
But with Uber, they give you the option to just do shop orders. And with DoorDash they just give you the option to shop and deliver, but that’s also included with the food delivery..
Where I live(WI) Shop and deliver & Alcohol delivery opt-out is disabled
Same here. It says there's not enough qualified dashers in my area.
Not me but I am in the southern part of Wi . So I can turn them off if I want.
Yes I have Preferences here in southwest Washington state near Olympia Tacoma.
I REALLY DONT COMMENT MUCH ON THESE TYPE COMMENTARIES BUT THIS GUY IS ON POINT! ALSO THESE PLATFORMS NEED TO HAVE A MINIMUM OF AT LEAST 5.00 AND NO ORDER WITH 2 PICKUPS UNDER 12.00
What if you currently have dasher direct? Can you transfer your balance to crimson when it becomes available?
i have preferences however the alcohol one is grayed out. I cannot turn it off or on. we called a dozen times all to no avail. help Mike
i doordashed for the first time today and same. i took the course/questionnaire and said im good to go but it was greyed out.
That's the case with me too. I took the course and used to do alcohol deliveries, but it's been grayed out in my preferences for a while now...
5:19 preferences option is so old at this point that they already removed it lol. Not new
They keep adding programs while the stuff they have is so broken you can refer ONE PERSON and get deactivated.
Yes, I have dasher preferences. I think it's a multi money making helper
