OSPAP study contents I am gonna talk about the important outline of OSPAP especially in Sunderland, as the design of study might vary among universities OSPAP is divided into two modules 1. Clinical Therapeutics: in this module all clinical topics (GIT, Cardio, Respiratory,Neuro,OTC…) will be taught regarding pathology, management, and guidelines + Clinical Skills ( Patient History, Physical examination, communications…). 2. Ethics and Law: this module focuses on dispensing regulations, dispensing errors and fit to practice rules alongside with public health issues and calculations There is a third module, but this only for students who take Msc version, and this module is research thesis. Placements: There are some placements to expose students to different settings of pharmacists, these placements are across the year, and each student should attend three placements in community pharmacies, GP Surgeries, and Hospitals. Assessments: 1- Clinical module: written exam and OSCE exam 2- Ethic module: written exam, dispensing exam, and calculation exam Throughout the year, there are assignments which are part of the assessment like (presentations, Problem-based learning reports, drug posters…). The teaching method is a combination of lectures, seminars, and self-study lectures. Resources: BNF: is a cornerstone in OSPAP as it is the main source of drug profiles and drug interactions. MEP: for laws and regulations.
