Mayo just lack another top class forward to win an All-Ireland. Andy Moran has been a great servant for the county but they need two of them.

Mayo is and has been the best team in the country for the last 7 years. Absolutely brilliant. Sam will be theirs soon for sure.

Nah man Mayo have a brilliant side but the Dubs have been head and shoulders above. 7 Leinsters in a row, 4 League titles in a row and now 3 All-Irelands in a row (with another 2 since 2011)

A great interview by both Joe and Andy. Very natural and genuine. I was looking forward to Liam meeting Sam in Ballindine, but not to be. Always intrigued by the Ballaghaderreen situation - well explained by Andy and cleverly brooched by Joe. A local wag told me once that the threat of involving the Irish peace-keeping force is never far away.

typical mayo reply to question, blame ref/anyone but themselves, "dublins free kick before halftime is universally excepted that it wasnt a free". mayo had every chance to win the game but didnt take them. both fans and players have great commitment, but they win all ireland medals for being the worst sorest losers. with the super 8's format for the next 3 years mayo will vanish off the scene because of the league format, they are a do or die championship team not suited to league format, 2018 prediction (dublin, kerry, tyrone, donegal) semi finals, teams who can perform in their own gameplans consistently.
