The original sprite based graphics will always be superior because endless debris, body parts, bodily fluids, and ejected magazines can litter the levels showcasing the glorious carnage. With a 3D engine... fail, every body, etc. has to vanish less the framerate will come to a crawl. Walk through a level in Doom 4 or 5 after killing everything: you wouldn’t even be able to tell anything took place because everything vanishes. Walk through any map of any WAD with Brutal Doom at the end of a run and the scene looks like something out of a Slasher film on steroids. The 3D engines will never be able to compete with that.

Framerates would tank if Doom 4 or 5 didn’t have a debris janitor constantly making the debris vanish. This is why it was coded the way it was because otherwise it would become too hardware intensive for anything to render it all. If it was possible, for 3D engines to imitate that level of carnage, as displayed in Brutal Doom, then Developers would do it because it adds an amazing amount of immersion to the experience. Watching the debris vanish in Doom 4 & 5 is gay. Sprite based engines will always have that technilogical advantage. It is what it is.

It’s nice to see an older playthrough with _relatively_ less relying on advanced techniques I struggle with like quickscoping. Helps me see how the arena can be dealt with without having to emulate what the Doom gods can do today.
I can imagine after being killed the demons all return to hell and quietly sit there. Then after about five minutes one of them says "......what the hell just happened"

I think this is roughly the plan - it's mentioned that more master levels will be added over time. I think the idea is that they'll keep adding new master levels for free, to try and keep engagement up and keep the single-player DOOM gamers around in between DLC expansion releases. No idea how frequently that means a new level is added, though, or how long we wait until we have a master-level-campaign...

Gosh, i love those mechanical beepings that you hear from time to time, it makes the whole thing feel a lot cooler, the mixture of advanced technology and raw violence like you see it in this game is highkey underrated
It's crazy how usually the enemies surround the player, but in this gamplay it's the Doom Slayer pinning down and surrounding the his Enemies. This is usually how I imagine things would turn out in a cannon scenario.
No matter wich Doom game you're playing, the enemies start to cry everytime ZeroMaster enters the room. This Doom Eternal have an invasion system, i'll shit my pants if i read ZeroMaster is hunting you.
You shouldn't. There's no way in hell that a player-controlled demon will beat you on a 1v1 when you're the Slayer, at least not if you know what you're doing gun-wise.

Demon AI can't predict your movements very well and so often miss when you're moving fast but a real player could predict the slayer's path and land more hits. It would be far more challenging to play against a team of human controlled demons than it would be to play against the AI.
@@zffrailgun1630 In most arena battles there are way more than 5 or 6 demons, and besides the slayer has a range of attacks that can disable or outright destroy demons fast, so even at 6v1 the slayer is still at an advantage by design, every demon he kills makes him stronger.
Watching this video definitly help me with where I need to work on for skill, I got quite a bit to work on. One thing that seperates me from you is the fact that you have so much spacial awareness, you can quickly analyze a whole area and make effective use of it, I choke up.

A lot of people are complaining about the game saying that they don't have ammo or that they just wanted more doom 2016. In reality they just don't have any skill, are barely moving and don't use their abilities. It's a bit like people who complained that sekiro should have had an easy mode. Doom eternal is the result of devs wanting a more refined and high skill ceiling gameplay and that's a blast.
In my experience, Doom eternal is "Fast paced FPS chess". You can deal with every demon with the right weapon at the right time and who in the name of f*ck said about "Running out of ammo"?! You run out of ammo, you find a fodder OR if you have enough fuel, kill a higher demon with the chainsaw, boom ammo, add flamer to that, you get ammo and armour, freeze them if you have the freeze for health upgrade then you get HEALTH, ARMOUR AND AMMO. These video game reviewers need to get a grip and learn how to play games to properly review them.

Wow, just amazing, I died 4 times during my first encounter with the Marauder on Ultra-Violence, getting stuck on geometry, accidentally strafing into other demons and unintentionally running into his axe blasts and unable to efficiently switch weapons to handle other demons and his ghost wolf attacks. Zero Master makes it all look too easy.
Why does it always seem like PC is on cocaine? I am good at this game but I can't move nearly this fast. It's like they have a permanent speed boost powerup.
FoV settings have a lot to do with it. A wider FoV will give the appearance of moving faster. That, and a mouse can flick to change directions much faster than a controller can.

@Rishi Rajan I was able to use sword but I wasted all energy on others. :D anyway I tried complete without full upgrades and I still managed almost complete. Its like I unoficialy completed, because Arch-Vile was the last and final enemy :D and I even forgot about freezing him, unlike this guy did. :D
This level on nightmare is no joke. A no death run is very impressive. Arc Complex while great fun is easier imo. This one I'm guaranteed at least one maybe two deaths throughout the level. Good shit man.
The most shocking thing is that he manages to have max armoe for quite a long time. Here I am with barely max HP. I think I should use the flame belch more often
When the gameplay is faster than glory kills. Dude you are so good at this game. I just mastered the combo you usually use, hit 'em with a super shotgun and then take out the ballista and you know what to do next.
I guess the only thing I don't like about the new Doom games is that it's so difficult to see which monster is which. Everything is moving so fast, it's hard to tell. Either that or this guy is just a friggin' master.
It’s a matter of perspective. In the game the demons really stand out not only in visuals but also with sound queues, if a Revenant it’s in the field they make whistling screams, the Whisplashea hisses like snakes, and the Tyrants go wobububu!
Gotta tell ya, I’ve played doom back when it was shareware, a bunch of us put it on the computer lab computers and on windows 93 you had to open up a dos box to run it and we’d have huge death matches before class. Even after playing doom for this many years your skill at the newest iterations of doom amaze me.

I don’t know man. I guess I feel the same way. I think I just liked the atmosphere of Doom 2016 more. It just felt darker.

I have never seen somebody playing this good. Its Fking awesome. Well done dood !! I also have almost finished Doom now with nightmare level, but after seen this, I have to say I must still learn quite a lot. This player seems to have flawless memory to perform, and nice touch to use all equipment.

@Rishi Rajan yeah I played yesterday, so it doesn't seem so difficulty. But this Arch-Vile is soooo annoying.
@Rishi Rajan I was able to use sword but I wasted all energy on others. :D anyway I tried complete without full upgrades and I still managed almost complete. Its like I unoficialy completed, because Arch-Vile was the last and final enemy :D and I even forgot about freezing him, unlike this guy did. :D

This level on nightmare is no joke. A no death run is very impressive. Arc Complex while great fun is easier imo. This one I'm guaranteed at least one maybe two deaths throughout the level. Good shit man.

When the gameplay is faster than glory kills. Dude you are so good at this game. I just mastered the combo you usually use, hit 'em with a super shotgun and then take out the ballista and you know what to do next.

I admire the trust and respect the developers have for the players' abilities; adding marauders encourages mobility and tactical variability.
I guess the only thing I don't like about the new Doom games is that it's so difficult to see which monster is which. Everything is moving so fast, it's hard to tell. Either that or this guy is just a friggin' master.

In the game the demons really stand out not only in visuals but also with sound queues, if a Revenant it’s in the field they make whistling screams, the Whisplashea hisses like snakes, and the Tyrants go wobububu!

Gotta tell ya, I’ve played doom back when it was shareware, a bunch of us put it on the computer lab computers and on windows 93 you had to open up a dos box to run it and we’d have huge death matches before class. Even after playing doom for this many years your skill at the newest iterations of doom amaze me.
