As someone that likes to use the leg weave pass, it's always annoying to see all these videos of leg weave counters. Can you make some leg weave counter COUNTER videos??

Great video. Love the distraction/set -up with the push to the head. It allows not to get eyes on the plan.

But what about once they have the weave plus a knee slice over pinning the weave to the hip and the outside leg posted wide?

As a z guard player I love this. Check out @Neilmelanson shin whizzer. Outstanding against leg weave as well

Coach, are you familiar with the move that Ryan Hall calls the "hippoplatamus?" Idk if it has an official name, but there is also a video on youtube of a guy teaching it as the "armless armbar sweep." Leo Vieira used to do it a lot, and I believe Galvao did as well... anyway, it would be awesome if you could give your details on that technique if it is something you use!

2 questions 1# when i was taught the "leg weave" i was told to keep the hand on the ground (i do sometimes and don't sometimes) do you feel it's better to hold leg or ground and i know each situation is different 2# i always like to pass to the back instead of the front you got a stop for that way? thanks for the vids have a good day

coach B what are your thoughts on the "ninja" choke AKA no-arm d'arce?
i can't believe it could actually work

It is super money, my man. The no arm darce is my go to choke when the darce/japanese necktie is being shut down.

@@zpt5394 from top half? i just can't see how it would be tight enough and not easy to escape
i've seen vids on it from various positions, including closed guard .. just seems a bit too ninja. mind you, chokes are not my strong point, i haven't managed to finesse the no gi ezekiel either.

@@ijustwannaleaveacommentony6511 From Top Half or Side Control- It's plenty strong (works on purple and up even if you're at a huge weight disadvantage) and not too easy to escape. Just set it up the way you would a normal Guillotine or Darce. When they close off the space you need to get your overhook deep enough, just go straight to the neck and lock it up figure 4 like a Darce. You will use your chest to fold their head over your figure 4 grip.
In order for this technique to have maximum success, you must be proficient with your darce, japanese necktie and whizzer (if you know the cradle pass that would also be a huge plus). If you find that you can't prevent them from getting to their knees, you need to work on your pressure.

What if he pummels his free arm in to frame and bases out?

    • @TeachMeGrappling

You can scoot your hips and make an angle to make them post on the mat, or you can sweep them to the left if they over commit their frame across your neck.
