Hi, just fitted this type c display to my 2013 berlingo xtr, also upgraded the stereo to the factory one with bluetooth and usb. Everything is working good, only thing is that when i put the car in reverse it does not show on the display, only the beeping sound when i get closer to something, is there a solution for this?

Done this myself with a display from a 207, easy peasy just like the video.
However, it's not showing the temperature as in just -- rather than an actual number. Any idea if there is a sensor that needs to be plugged in or something?
Also discovered that the interior door release on the driver's side sliding door doesn't work.

Come to think of it, the old display didn't have a temperature displayed either.

Love these videos! I have almost the same vehicle. Mines a 2010 Peugeot Partner Tepee. You've inspired me to start some jobs of my own haha. Just bought an Atoto double din radio. Chinese made but it seems to get decent enough reviews. I couldnt stretch to an Atoto A6 Pro which is a full android head unit. I got the SA102 which runs Linux but its Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible. For £110. Using your video I'll tackle the install plus the rear view camera. I wouldn't mind changing the multifunction LCD module as well. I live in Lisburn. Any ideas where I might try? When I ring up the breakers, what should I ask them for? I've got the standard one that came in yours but I really like the more up to date one. For a tenner? Really? Cheers anyway, Robert

Looks like a good headunit especially for the price.
Scrapyards here in the north. I think there is one in downpatrick not too sure though as im from down near dungannon. I got to a scrapyard near tmet that let me walk in, i removed it from a 207.
There is also mckeevers breakers near coalisland prices wont be as cheap as £10 but its another place you can walk around and remove the parts from. Id say the scrapyards up closer to belfast are a bit more health and safety mad so getting to walk about may not be an option.

@@peugeotCitroen2CV yes, you're absolutely right about scrap yards up this direction. Time was you could walk around to your hearts content. Not anymore sadly. I'll ring around a few and tell them what I'm looking for. Easy thing to remove. I could pretty much swap it over while I'm there to see if it works I guess. I'm sure they wouldnt mind me doing that.

Hi, I want to do the same thing on our C3 2012!
I am interested if the new screen will show options such as bluetooth, navigation, handsfree etc. despite the car not having any of the mentioned equipment? Is that why you say it may be needed to connect it to diagbox? If so, is it complicated to adapt it to the car? I am worried if I will find a mechanich who will have the knowledge to do it.
    Thank you!

      Hi,
The next limiting factor will be the headunit. You can get headunits from other PSA cars that had bluetooth streaming functionality. I actually had a 2011 C3 that had that function so they are out there. It will need to be VIN decoded with diagbox to work. It will show phone status, call information and track id on the higher resolution display.
Join the citroen owners club on facebook, or the french car forum. Ask if there are any members nearby with Diagbox. Alternatively it is £50 on ebay for the lead and CD.

Oh, I meant to ask. What other upgrades, modifications, jobs etc have you planned for the Berlingo? I think you mentioned original Citroen parking sensors and LED lights? Anything else? Why the original parking sensors? Wont they be more difficult/expensive to source? You can pick up a chinese set for £20 or £30. Are they a waste of money? (Just bought a set front and rear😂). They're great wee vehicles. A real workhorse. If only they made them in four wheel drive.... Like the Kangoo Trekka I think? Robert

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  3 года назад

      Well Robert,
Parking sensors ive sort of went off that idea hard to find OEM ones or enough of the parts to convert to a factory setup and the camera has made them a bit unnecessary. Ebay parking sensor kits for £20-£30 i installed a fair amount of them and never any bother even 10 years on.
Led lights in the tailgate would be useful, havent yet got round to 3D printing something to hold them, nor found the sort of LED units i want that would project into the cabin and down below the tailgate. Just would leave it handy as i keep tools in the back and working in the dark.
I have the 3D printer but have not really printed much for the berlingo, wouldn’t mind a softer armrest on the door but not a huge amount of things planned.
They are great wee machines, the uncle has just ordered a brand new Berlingo van after using mine a few times. Never found the 2 wheel drive an issue being front wheel drive traction is reasonably good anyhow but i believe dangel did do 4x4 versions just not sure if many were sold.

@@peugeotCitroen2CV Phew! That's a relief. I just thought I'd wasted my money on those sensors 😂 Gotta set aside time to get these jobs done now. Got the radio to swap out for the double din, route the microphone, fit the rear camera, fit the parking sensors (I'm a terrible driver, belt and braces!), and check if its rewired for a towbar. If I've all the bits and pieces a weekend should do it. I hope 😂. Got that Connect2 kit following your recommendation. Need to get some of those wee trim clips you mentioned. Good tip. The new ones are nice. Too much money for me though! 3d printer eh? Love one. Might get one of the cheaper kits some time. Do you get much use out of it for car projects?

It will be a well kitted out wee van when you are done, very interested to hear how you find the headunit after a few months of use. I went the branded option for kenwood but there are units from lesser known brands coming out now that do as good a job at a fraction of the price.
Havent really used the 3D printer a massive amount yet, oddball design concepts people have ideas and get me to draw them up, wouldnt mind getting a bit more work out of the printer. I work as a design engineer for the screening industry but would find making the random ideas people have in their heads a reality to be a much more interesting field of design, mainly because you get much more variety and inspiration that way.
The modutop roof box i printed replacement latches for, the 305 bootlid washer jets were another part made on the printer, my dad has a kubota lawn mower and it now has 3d printed light enclosures to allow LED lights to be fitted where the original ones sat yet it looks like they were meant to be there.

@@peugeotCitroen2CV yes, well I got a bit envious of my wife's 2017 Juke haha. Shes just changed from an 18 year old Yaris (another great wee car.) Loads of toys to play with in the Juke but not really practical for me. A little bit small inside. Reversing camera great though. I'll let you know how the Atoto unit fares. I'd be interested in seeing any further Berlingo related videos you make. So you're not a motor mechanic then? I guess you know your way around CAD then if you're a design engineer. That'll come in very useful with the 3d printer I'd imagine. You've obviously spent a lot of time around motor vehicles though. The videos must take a lot of time to make. Very watchable and informative. Glad I stumbled across them.

Hi there, any tools (or time stamps in the video where they appear) that you are interested in asking about?
The main tools getting used here are 'trim removal tools' from memory they are just ebay specials, use that search term and there is a lot of results. Ive a few sets now in the tool box, they are handy for avoiding damage to plastic trim.

What display did you have before it? If your old display did not have a trip computer function you may need diagbox to activate the feature. Also does your wiper stalk have the button at the end that can be pressed in?

I never knew there was a version with absolutely no display. However the HDI engine regardless of what spec will have enough electronics on all versions to support a trip computer.
You will however need diagbox to activate the feature.

Hi, dont apologise for your english its better than me at any other language haha.
If your berlingo already has bluetooth, this may not be better in terms of call quality or the actual quality of the music. Although an aftermarket stereo such as this has expansion options for amplifers and sub woofers if you wish to enhance that side of the system. Having the phone mirroring function then makes it easier to navigate for music or change track without needing to hold the phone which is now illegal to do here.

Ah, do you currently have bluetooth in your berlingo? You can always get a radio out of another PSA car of the same era that had bluetooth and the higher resolution screen. Get the microphone also. It will plug in, although it will need Diagbox to vin decode the radio. The factory headunits that bluetooth also did audio streaming, they were quite good.
Shouldnt be too hard to get one most of the range would have had the option of it C3, C4, 207, 308 other berlingos.
