It’s crazy how much it looks like the Harley Davidson Sportster !! it’s a dope bike and it makes it even better when you support your countries companies and its good to see the UK adopting that movement staying True to Buying American and English and promoting our way of living and keeping our people employed and bringing QUALITY BACK
Love the look of the bike & your mods are spot on👍🏻😎 I was thinking of the original bobber but this black version is what I would want. Only waiting on the new BMW cruiser to come out.🤔 Very nice review & well done!
Got to see and sit on this bike 2 days ago, it might be the best looking motorcycle I have ever seen, but at six foot five I looked like a polar bear on a tricycle. I did buy the xca 1200 so I am now the proud owner of a triumph triple. But I do envy anyone that can fit on this bobber because this might be one of the sweetest looking bikes on the market. Best of luck with this beautiful machine.
I love the fact its liquid cooled. Beach traffic on the weekends is crazy and I often see guys pulled over to the side of the road under overpasses cooling off their overheated bikes.
GREAT video!!! Great bike...gonna be trading my Bonneville SpeedMaster for the Bobber Black. Like your additions to the bike...would love a contact list of the vendors used to make the upgrade. Especially the seat and rear fender. Which Cobra tires are those whitewalls?
Appreciate the feedback man, thank you! Everything I've bought for the bike is a bolt on accessory. Purchased through the designers directly, such as rear fender/lights from Wunderkind Customs in Germany, seat from LA Rosa Design in the US, leather grip wrap from Tripmachine Co. in India, Bar Risers from Motone Customs and the whitewalls are Avon Cobra's.
Great video, REALLY like your modifications. Rode one all day while my Street Twin was being repaired and fell in love with it. My 2 issues were the seat and the rear fender, both of which you addressed perfectly! Where did you get the work done and would you be so kind as to list the mods you made?
Thanks Jonathan, appreciate the feedback and it's awesome to hear you dig the mods. Every modification is a 'bolt on' part really, minus the wiring loom for my rear end/lights. That was the only piece of work done at my local dealership, as I wasn't to confident splicing the wiring etc. Everything else was done in my garage. I think I'll upload a new video where I talk about the mods in greater detail, as a few folk are interested. Stay tuned!
Thanks bud! Whatever you feel comfortable with at the end of the day, the seating position and comfort will be vastly different between both bikes. Sometimes the aesthetics are all you need. 😎
Yeah, I do find for it's class, the Bobber handles extremely well, but the more you begin to get comfortable and confident with it, pegs will scrape when hitting bends etc. Purely comes down to your riding style, if you ride fairly aggressively, you'll probably make contact now and then. Speed Twin is naturally in a different league, that upright, higher ground clearance etc, makes the world of difference. Lovely bike may I add!
The view is certainly above average, but not the best. Sometimes I had to lift my arm a little to get a full clear view. Felt plenty effective and safe enough for riding though.
I did not like the scraping and I could not live with the numbness which made riding outright dangerous. The small gas tank does not allow long rides I returned everything for a Speed Twin and now I am perfectly happy.
Yeah, it's certainly no 'Street' bike, but handles surprisingly well considering it's class. Purely depends how you ride, but I do scrape pegs a bit more frequently now, as I'm riding harder and throwing it into bends more. Comfort wasn't so bad on the stock seat, but my current one is just a steel pan, and you can certainly feel it! My ass was pretty much begging for mercy after I did 400 miles in 1 day! Glad you got the bike you're happy with. Enjoy that 1200 engine.
How is the comfort of the La Rosa seat? Does it absorb the bumps better than the stock setup? It looks like it has some flex on the bumps which would be an improvement. Any comments you have would be most appreciated.
Sorry for late reply buddy, the LA Rosa seat is purely an aesthetic thing, looks cool, slick and suits the bike with that traditional 'Bobber' look, but practicality, it's solid, and doesn't help with ride comfort at all. Short rides it's no problem. I did 400+ miles on it in one day, and my ass was begging for mercy. Still no regrets though, as it looks badass. You can always add an Air cushion or something, for long trips.
Great review! Love the customization you did. Especially the wunderkind mudguard and the seat Could you please put in the video description all the brand names of all the parts you changed out? Maybe even some links. Many thanks!
What a great video, well done. I’ve had a BB for around 10 months and the fact that I am still looking at reviews and additional custom ideas says it all. On mine I have the Motone X-Pipe and the V&H US Spec pipes. The sound is amazing. Additionally I have a Corbin seat, various Motone covers, smaller mirrors. In fitted the Fox shock and what a difference. If you are considering, go for it, you won’t be disappointed. You mentioned a Motone billet fuel cap. I have one and it’s so much easier than the locking cap. With such a small tank the risk of theft isn’t that bigger deal. Other than the Triumph short signals I haven’t changed the back. I like the long hugging fender. Looking for a smaller bullet style rear light though.
Thanks for the feedback buddy, appreciate it! Sounds like a slick Bobber you have there, with some sweet upgrades. Funny enough, the long mudguard/fender with the raised centre, looks real nice, I dig it. It's that stock light setup that Triumph always run with, that ruin it. Bulky & ugly. Same applies for majority of their liquid cooled parallel twin range. Modern Classics specifically. I think the Speed Twin is the only bike that looks decent OEM.
What a superb video, you have just gained yourself a subscriber. I love your thought processes. You have done a great job with that bike. Your seat looks ace and the rear fender. I have a T120 black, I have two questions if I may. Was your yellow headlight glass done with film or insert? Lastly, Do you think the up and over risers would suit the T120?
Feedback means a lot, thank you dude! Apologies for super late response! The yellow tint to the headlight was done with film, a bit fiddly, as you want no bubbles, it's a bit awkward as the glass is convex. Risers would look great on the T120! They're a real neat bit of kit, well worth investing. Motone parts are great quality too, highly recommend.
Hi there , The rear fender kit is a must know I have seen this . Can you suggest where to get it fitted ? Just a standard garage or get triumph dealership to do it ?
Absolutely *cough*. I do prefer it, can't beat a nice pressed black & silver plate. Super cheap on eBay too! Can be had for practically £10, which is bargain. Listed as "novelty plate".
Fantastic video!!! I am 3 days from my 2020 Bobber Black arriving at my door!!! Lovely idea that brown seat. Am searching the web for one I might like. Question for you.....what are the gloves you are wearing in the video? Love the look of them and would like to get a pair if I can find them here in Texas or order them from Bike Shed or Urban Rider in London. Cheers mate
Thank you buddy! Appreciate the feedback, glad you liked it. I bet you're pumped to receive it! Shame about the world situation at the mo.. Those gloves are my trusty Goldtop Bobber gloves in Yellow, they're amazing. had them for a few years now, still going strong. I recently did some photography for Goldtop actually, hit up their site, incredible brand and quality, that I fully support. www.goldtop.co.uk/
What exhaust wrap did you use please, want to do it to mine and that colour is spot on. Also what length and width did you need to do it. Many thanks if you can help. Love the vid
Sweet vid man I watches the entire thing, your mods are sweet as.. how tall are you btw because I'm seriously considering a test ride on one of these bad boys
Thanks for the kinds words dude! I'm 5ft 10 if this helps. Highly recommend a test ride, get out on one for a few hours if you can, sometimes a 30 min ride just isn't enough to trial the comfort etc.

This is the review i needed. Really well done owners perspective. Was really looking at the t100. But this just has it all. Will have to test ride soon. Will be my first bike. But have pretty solid riding experience. The black bobber is the way to go.
Maybe I missed it somewhere... but I was wondering how tall you are. Love this bike and the review is outstanding. I"m 1m88 and I'm wondering if I can ride it in a good way...
Great in depth review man! How tall are you? I’m considering getting one but never got to sit or ride one yet...just thinking about how far you have to reach to get to the handle bars. Also great shout for the bar raisers!
Totally agree with you about the seat. The weird empty space/proportioning always threw me even though I loved every other part of the bike. One of these days I'll probably trade my street scram in for one of these.
Great review of the bike. I'm looking for my first bid bike after doing my DAS and had my heart set on a HD Sportster but you may have just changed my mind! Would love to see a detailed video of the mods you have made.

Sadly not, it really is a solo seater. There are some parts floating around in Indonesia & Thailand, where people have fabricated rear seat pads for the fender, but it's not designed to take the weight of a human, and moves with the swingarm, so wouldn't recommend it. Triumph Speedmaster would be the next best thing, very similar frame, just a bigger seat with more room, and a lot comfier!
@@unparalleledtwin5280, I bet someone could make it strutted or make the fender to support a passenger, otherwise. That's good to know for people wanting to buy it, though. Thanks.

I’ve said from the beginning take they should build this from a 650 triple. I know the triple is a weird bike to many folks but talk to some owners! The triple is it! With this gas tank how could you want a. 1200cc engine? Really! I don’t go out without a 150 mile ride in mind. That’s two fillips with this thing. Come on!

I had the exact same issue with the stock seat and the empty space underneath, I think you nailed it with that custom seat, love it
You've done a great job on the rear of the bike, turning what was the bikes worst feature into a thing of beauty.
Don't get the FOX shock. Go with the Ohlins 729 or Wilbers 640 they both cost less and are better quality than the fox factory upgrade.

I'd give it an 85/100, just loses those marks for comfort, but it's hard to deduct such points when that's simply the style of bike. New seat has actually helped with posture, but the fact it's a solid seat pan, completely counteracts that when it comes to numbness. 🤟🏼

Come on!
Beautiful upgrades. I would like own a mirror copy of yours. Great review....miss my 66 TR-6. She was fun but electrical nightmare
