It's really interesting to watch the whole building process in this video. That's awesome!😀👍👍

Great job, questions regarding Kiwi builds. I’ve seen several drive peers in the prepared soil prior to pouring the concrete pad, what is the purpose? Why not deep footings?

Has your company ever built with CEBs (Compressed Earth Blocks) before?

Hey, would you be able to do a video on pros and cons of concrete slab foundations? I can't seem to get over the fact that plumbing is built into the slab so would be a nightmare to redesign or repair if you had any issues.

Hey I've got some slab videos up already

Guessing they disconnected all water, gas, electric etc before tearing it up. Where do they do that? Underground? near the street? Can’t believe how quick and easy that was to knock down!😳😳😳😳😳

Why do you use wooden poles for the foundation? Wouldn’t these wooden poles decay in time compared to concrete poles?

Is it normal in the Hutt to pile and raft the floor? Is the bearing that bad?

    • @bengmelea8646
      @bengmelea8646 2 года назад +1

yeah those piles went down deep. Soil bearing musta been very poor unless the extra dead load of brickwork had something to do with it?

All of Lower Hutt has bad ground, so all houses in the Hutt need to have very deep friction piles.

Is fiber collection provided in new homes in New Zealand?

Why was there water under it? Is that one reason it had to be taken down and replaced?

Hi Josh do you ever do Renos? Are all these houses for clients or do you contract to someone?

    • @nzbuilder

Hey Logan, currently got lots of new builds on but we have Reno experience in the team. Most of these builds are for clients that we have found and guided thought the design & consent process

6 - 9 months to get plans approved + 6 -9 months on site for a simple flat site build

Not sure why some people are fixed on brick n tile. Yes my Nan would love this style, but when brick is placed well you can have a nice looking home.
And pressed steel concrete lookalike tiles?
I find them hard to walk on, if you stand on the back edge they bend, often causing a puddle, and in my opinion don't look as nice as corrugated or standing seam steel roof.
Also more time consuming to install.

I agree but from a builders perspective the one thing i do like about metal tile is that i don't have to get up there and do the purlins as the roofers do their own haha
