it will be a wonderful day when we realise, as a species, that we should protect and feed(/pay ect) the people who give the most to culture rather than the attitude we have which seems to be like we are just entitled to the art without even understanding the journey the artist went on, if you know what i mean. Homage rather than claim other people's art
@@vogelvogeltje ok lets go. 1st of you have entirely misunderstood me. I was talking about society and society is incredibly entitled when it comes to art considering how we treat a lot of people that create and give, imagine how much more they would have been able to give under better circumstances and how much richer all of our experiences would be for it. 2nd i am a big lover of sample music from old school hip hop to dubstep and more, there is a difference between homage and stealing, homage is being inspired and celebrating, playing with a sound and creating, stealing is sneaking bits tryna act like your the genius coz you found something cool that someone already did. That is entitled. Entitled is feeling like you can just take and claim because you like something without respecting the thing and its source. I think you can also see this kinda vibe when it comes to what is and isn't cultural appropriation. Intention is a big thing and if you just let yourself have good intention we can all have a rich cool diverse inspiring life full of creation but a lot of people don't even try and let their intent be good despite it resulting the same outcome regardless, that is being weak minded and unfortunately is a lot of society, they feel entitled to be weak minded and we all lose out. So in response to your comment, yes actually some people are entitled because they make something new from something old but not everyone. ygm
