I love the idea of the mayor hiring more guards and being able to upgrade them for safer cities. I also think it would be cool if in the future, much like they intend to change the appearance of the city depending on the race that primarily contributed to the node, if the city looked different if their crime/murder stats are high. Maybe darker alleys, patchwork/damaged buildings, trash in the streets, etc. (and the inverse for safe cities)

The only exception is after their Node is destroyed.* *These people pay a huge pile of Gold to play house, Farm, and process goods - and you need to let them.* *All their goods are still in danger during transport, as it should be. Guild Halls are a different story.*
Ok I have a lore friendly and still hardcore pvp idea reguarding guards in cities allow mayors and towns invest tax’s into a budget for guards so some towns can have more guards with better gear and a town that wants to be more lawless saves tax money with less guards and softer gear? Thoughts? I feel that’s lore friendly and might make people want to go to certain towns based in play style do you prefer safer towns or more lawless?
With my experience in Phase 1 and phase 2, they need to have a cooldown on node wars of about 1-2 days to give the residents a chance to recover, Guild wars should be limited by how many guilds can dec on you at a time as some of these bigger guilds have 2-12 subguilds that all dec at once. They should be 1 guild vs. 1 guild, not 1 guild vs. 6 guilds... this will put a limit on these zerg guilds and big pvp guilds that just overwhelm the smaller guilds by shear numbers. I am for pvp but it needs to be controlled and balanced.

And unprotected cities are more dangerous but cheaper like a black market city!

That's a really interesting idea!
The true fast travel offloading all your loot into the market of a random town and then dying too fast travel home.
I say make the basic crafting area of nodes highly fortified/guarded indoor area that cannot be entered while a combatant or in combat
You need carebears in MMOs ... they help run the economy a ton.

Are croc mounts an exploit? Seems like it, we know that they are not supposed to be that fast but everyone has one…
