Please be careful on those large takes i remember the same thing in California in the 70s.our fishery still hasn't recovered.I am saddened buy the fact that I was part of it. If you were there you would have thought that there never would have been this kind of loss.We go out now and fish that were 50 to 60 pounds are now 5 to 10 and on the endangered list,almost to small to spawn. On the flip side i really enjoy these videos. Thankyou

On those small portable batteries, how long are they lasting on average for DD trips? I'm guessing guys are mainly using them to be mobile while using a larger one for home base fishing?

I LOVE to see a cook who knows what to do with fish and seafood. I could tell this food was great just looking at the way it was prepared!
I was in Florid a only once. I was warned by a friend of mine: Most cooks in the States will FRY, FRY, Fry everything that comes out of the sea. I found out that there is a truth to it. I was extremely disapointed with the "specialities" served on the warf. In spite of being hungry we had to return nearly ninty percent of the the menu we were served! It is a crime how some people waste good food out of the sea.

I’ll get a slightly longer than usual flexible rod with a Winthrop T10-x adjustable butt with a swivel tip and a Seaborg 1200. I’ll be getting it done through Stuart rods

its hard to say this boat beats the intrepid sportfishing in san diego. Very similar but the intrepid is not so blocky than a boat like the American patriot.
The intrepid is nicer, the intrepid also cost about $8,000,000 more than this boat did

#1 question I have for you. Which is better yankee capt or American patriot. Havent watched the entire video yet waiting for a break from work
both good options. the patriot is a much much nicer boat and has way better food which is included in the price unlike the capts. also they provide premium bait: ballyhoo, fresh frozen vac sealed goggle eyes, premium california white squid. i had to buy $150 of bait when i went on the capts. there are major upsides to both boats

Yes they do. Something I was REALLY disappointed in when I got on the boat. Not showering on a long range trip, especially with the amount of dead bait and fish blood there is, is actually super dangerous… when I was in California we would make everyone shower at least once every 24 hrs bc you are very susceptible to gnarly infections if you don’t shower…. It’s a legitimate health hazard not showering daily under those conditions
That being said, you can shower as much as you want on the patriot. I
