I am assuming it caused Moderate damage due to the calls we responded too in that general area right after it passed. Moderate damage to homes and many trees into buildings

And our guys have to keep apologizing for cutting into the seniors game shows. l only put on local because our storms were not expected so I wasn't sure he'd be live. Put this replay on late night and saw Max had a busy night anyway. Non stop. God bless him. Wish we could clone him or that local stations with apps would understand we want this bar of coverage. The newscast from 3 hours ago during dangerous weather. doesn't cut it.

I live in Homewood in the south suburbs of Chicago, we did get an EF-1. At 5:37:07 you say "Tornado on the ground in Homewood for sure...oh wait, just kidding." Sure, the reflectivity was out ahead of the TDS, but the velocity and the TDS aligned perfectly. So...I'm not sure why you were so quick to dismiss it.
This stream helped me so much. I was watching it with local radar up in the background. You guys were so much faster at updating, and I was able to be ready to shelter several minutes before the sirens sounded and I lost power. Turns out one of the EF0s was barely a mile and a half north of me in Lockport. That's the one you said you thought might be just west of the radar site at about 05:13:20. Thankfully my power came back on within a few minutes, but the other side of the street is still out today.
I just want to know it's got to be hard to believe. think back 2 years ago when you were getting a thousand views. now you're almost at a million views. unbelievable. keep it up
So the Etna Greene/ Tippecanoe (Tippy was actually way closer just a weird postal zip area) Tornado ended up being a EF-0 and the one up at Ellhart was a EF-1. At one point that couplet was directly over my Home! Dropped just east of us. Thankfully that just tore some trees up and damaged crops. BTW Your not saying the names right, actually help lighten the mood! We were pretty stressed, and you made us laugh! Thank you!
I live in Uptown, Chicago. It's always interesting to try to guage what to actually do during a warning, when no one on the news is confirming a visual. There's no way to know. But also, generally, it seems like these storms move very quickly east, so it's only short term danger.

NWS did confirm an EF1 tornado in central Illinois that tracked 12 miles from East Peoria through Morton. Better rotation was below the radar scan, so it wasn’t evident on radar until it got to Morton, and even then, no definitive CC drop

Here I see someone focusing on the prevalent issue and translating raw data real-time. I suppose the future has it's good sides. Gonna get my drone up on the morning to see if i can find the path because from the ground it looks like a path.
5:26:04 at this moment I was panicking. I live in Burbank and for the first time ever I received the Federal Emergency Alert on my iPhone for a Tornado Warning and imminent danger with life threatening conditions. I live with elderly parents and thought we’d lose everything with our lives that night. Instead though, I got on my knees and prayed to Lord Jesus to take away the storm. And thank God the tornado didn’t drop. Not even the winds were damaging at all. It was a miracle

At least Max goes live for the majority of severe weather. Unlike Ryan who has gotten so big and rich, with his huge production crew, that he only goes live 5 times a year for EF5s and hurricanes.
