I have owned all 3 versions. The white face was my first synth back in the 70's. Behringer nailed it. It absolutely took me back to the time when I owned one. Killer playing!!
mootbooxle Dude your playing rocks - I’ve enjoyed your Behringer demos... it’s brilliant how Behringer has become the great enabler for ordinary people who would be unable to afford the real thing. The added effects and sequencers are the final icing on the cake. I’m probably going to start with a Crave.
Matheus Leston thank you! KARP has been my daily driver since it came out, been on hundreds of gigs with me! So I definitely feel comfy on this! Glad it showed!
Great demo! Sounds good... built-in FX are nice. When will this be available and what is the cost? This, and a Moog Grandma and I am back in the 70s... tangerine dreaming. Great sequence @ 5:25 !
I quite like this ....Full size too. If they nail Korg on price they've got this market segment in the bag. I like the moded sliders as well...nice touch.
If this demo doesn't sell the unit, not sure what will. Great playing! Wonderful to see an experienced player who knows how to use the Odyssey controls in real time. Well done sir!
@ mootbooxie you jamming like not tomorrow! I hesitated to get this synth then went for it and purchased. I must said that overall it’s a great piece...Sounds good, phun playing it and making sounds
While it sounds definitely good, I think its main advantage over the Korg clone is the FX section and possibly some more drive/saturation. As a KARP owner I can tell you that it sounds as good as this when you add reverb, delay or chorus
@noou And dont forget, Behringer Odyssey has FULL size keys NOT "slim line" like on the Korg. Thats the very thing that would keep me from buying the Korg.
As a beginner, I prefer analog modeling synthesizers with presets. The Behringer Odyssey, however, is also in my home studio. Thanks for showing what a skilled player can do with it.
agree 100%. not sure if it sounds as closer to the original as the other clones, but the important part is that it sounds awesome. the best on the line so far, for sure.
Love yet another compelling Behringer clone. But, I keep coming back to this video because of the serious skills of Moot Booxle - his playing of these classic synths is tops!
Do you feel the Korg Arp one desktop is so bad so you can not use that one? I got the Karp and I am very happy with it. If I did not have that I might be interested in this one; which begs the question why Behringer didn't clone something that is not readily available on the market - like the ARP 2500 or 2600
Man those sounds from 520 on are mindbendingly good, taking me quite a while to get used to the odyssey,, love the Raw analog sound though 😜😜👍❤jaffa Jenkins dawless jams
Honestly - what sense does a synth like that make if it doesn't have presets or user patches available ? If you're not a synth expert (but like the sound), how are you going to recall a sound you made a month ago ? How you gonna use a synth like that in a live setting ?
at long last some one knows how to demonstrait a synth properly ie playing proper solo style and not just running an appegiator or sequencer and turning cutoff an resonace knobs,, and this guy plays very well, hats off to you.
Wow, I have currently not working early version. Serious considerations, I did think it had presets and midi cc though. I honestly would love to pay 100 more for all these clones to have midi cc.
I wished there was an iMootBooxle which comes as accompanying app with this beast that teaches me how to use it. Anyway I already told my wife that I am going to buy it and, no, will not trade in any existing gear in exchange.
Pulse2AM you’re welcome! It’s really an honor to be involved with this thing. I’ve already used it on several gigs...it is a roadworthy beast of a synthesizer!
@@mootbooxle I'm an 80's synth pop fan, Depeche Mode etc. so it's perfect for that. I'm doing a synth pop, synthwave rock thing - check my channel if you like. Bliss Kiss and Rhythmicon are the two new albums.
I was gonna get the Minilogue XD, but always wanted a Oddesey, and this sounds great. Maybe I have to rethink, and get the Korg later for christmas maybe.
It would be nice if Behringer would let people know when this is coming out. I was all set to buy it and I cant even find one mention of a release date. I almost just bought the Korg version thinking it was the Behringer. I would have been real mad
This guy rocked the shit out this synth, finally someone who can play and not just awkwardly talk about specs.
Absoflippinlutely...
His demo in this video was much better.

thank you guys so much :) 🙏

Sequencer + FX... This is more than a clone. It's a re-imagining. Thank you, Behringer!

Killer playing!!
FINALLY! A valuable demo for MUSICIANS which features actual PLAYING instead of mindless fidgeting.
That’s me playing btw. :)
At 1:30 I thought you will play Perrey/Kingsley's The Savers.
androidvision Looove JJP. I actually played on the last album he made!
If that's you, then thanks for the absolutely wonderful demo!
Behringer brought in the right man to demo their ARP Odyssey clone. Great job Moot
SquareB0t it was a pleasure to do it!
Jesus Behringer. Slow down. My heart.
I have no idea how close it sounds, but it sounds bloody good.
Wow.. somebody finally capable of doing the Odyssey justice.. great demo, thank you mystery player

The best synth demo I've ever watched. Just the sound, which is amazing. This guy is a beast on a synth. I want this thing now.

Jason Crouch I wish they’d send me one! Really honored to be doing this for Behringer.
The moog one demos are a joke
This is truly an awesome bit of gear! Thank you Behringer for all your hard work.

What a bloody THUNDERGOD of a synth
Behringer is killing it with those rack synths like the neutron, D and the new pro 1 prophet clone, but this one is the most interesting so far
Looks like Behringer is set for absolute world-domination with this affordable synth line they putting out.
No price yet ?
I think 2019 is the year I will become a Behringer fan boy, lol!
Cazy right! I thought i would never say that but here i am
