I think all the people walking by are in some kind of hypnotic trance from their train travels. If I walked by and heard even 5 seconds of someone playing this well, I would be fixated and watching the whole performance.

I heard this and my mind instantly went back to my grandfather playing the piano. He had a musical ear. Heard it and he could play it - or mix it up to suit him. Never had lessons in his life, but could play a variety of instruments. Violin and the guitar were his favorites. Now the violin is mine, left to me back in 2013. I'm nowhere nearly as talented and I have to interpret music in a way that makes.sense to me. See, I can't read music. It makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. I convert music to a number system and go from there. Rather tedious, but worth it if it means I can play on the violin. :) Thanks for bringing back that memory for me. :)
