💥Realized after the fact that I stated the t.1 and t.5 values backwards I apologize the t.1is 90% of the duration time and the t.5 rates the speed at 50%. We care more about the 90% as the lingering flash can still effect freezing movement on our subjects sorry everyone
Does broncolor have significance in this market still? They did high power, consistency in color and exposure and fast recycle already 40 years ago (1980 or before) and it took Profoto until less than 10 years ago to start working on that. Where are they in your opinion?
@@jpdj2715 personally I went for the Broncolor pack. They are more powerful, cheaper, have 3 outlets and a lot more in-depth features for creative control. One example with Broncolor is being able to change the colour temperature of the flash warmer or cooler. The menu system of Broncolor is a lot more complex than this profoto but only because it has way more options...
Wow that is some pack, it is on my lotto wish list with a bunch of other stuff, Thanks so much for having Marisa in the demo her dynamic always adds to the demos. Any way have a great day Seth, Thanks to you and Marisa
I hope that's the reason Broncolor hasn't been active. But they haven't had the fastest pack since Profoto released the 10, so maybe they'll now be inclined to make something innovative.
Definitely out of my price range, but I still appreciate seeing pro-level equipment being used. I have nothing against "Shiela," but I was glad to see Marisa! For some reason, I pictured you were going to strap Shiela on a longboard and have Daniel push her across the set :)
Wow... I would have to sell my car to afford this, but to get the quality and features this pack has it is a reasonable price. Still being a budget minded photographer this is a ways out of my price range -- for now. Always good to see Marisa in an Adorama video. Thanks Seth!
Cars put a lot into perspective. People paying 50-75+ grand on luxury cars seems so normal, and yet 17k is so crazy to pay for something that actually makes people money? I mean seriously. Furthermore, professional lighting kit holds its value way better than cars.
So I was on a job this week with the new Pro 11. The lighting tech has a regular Profoto a Remote. On large sets he uses the remote to control the 5 packs. We just noticed that essentially the regular (expensive) air remote is useless with the pro 11 packs, even with the updated firmware as of today May 12th. Also the Air TTL remote for the canon Doesn’t change any of the power settings on the pack. Now he’s got clients wondering why the first assistance walking around on his phone?
According to your camera settings it looks like you were shooting 20 frames rather than 30. The burst mode is only set to "HI" instead of "HI+" I'd love to see how it handles with the full 30 frames.
If they let us put these in stadiums it would be the best sports options on the planet!!! And, you won't be able to blame the lighting because Profoto is one point.
Hey, I’m using b10 and b10 plus but for some studio lighting setup I need continuous lights which modeling light on b10 and b10plus is not enough powerful specially for using for recording video! What’s solution if I don’t want to go for another brand to use LED lights? Thank you
Like all the pro foto lights I cannot understand why they cannot make the air remote do what the phone app does????? Get rid of the Godamn phone and just let the photographer be able to hold a camera with the air remote to change power settings and make the new power setting show up on the air remote just like my phottix transceiver on the top of my camera is able to do and at a fraction of the cost?
Quality product, albeit way overpriced, as per Profoto standard operating procedure. Looking forward to Godox/Flashpoint coming out with a competing product that fills the void left by Bowen’s, at a price people can actually afford.
I guess with the current speed, Godox is making new stuff, we will see something similar soon. In the meantime, we can use Godox AD1200Pro 1200Ws TTL Power Pack´s at a laughable fraction of the price from Profoto Pro-11 packs.
Well Profoto pay for R&D... dont copy the work of others... that also explain the price. If you are OK for someone to steal your work and sell it for cheaper to your client, you can be fine with Godox.
@@bp-blackshark PRo11 is for rental studio, can handle several thousand full power flashes EACH day... no other flashes can handle that, even one day. To obtain that you need military grade or spatial grade materials ... clearly not the style of Godox.

Nice. No dark frames. No dropped lights. The pack kept up really well. Great explanation Seth. Good video!

Definitely out of my budget, but nice to know that it exists. Thanks, Seth and Marissa
Broncolor have had this for years, however they use wi-fi rather than bluetooth. Also can have up to 99 individually controlled strobes.

Wow. It looks like a constant light in a video. That's seriously impressive tech.

Lol. It IS A CAR! But you can always grab one for a bit at Adorama Rentals

Gawd, that's one hot machine. Should I ever get to be in a room with a model again gonna have to rent a couple!

Great video. Thanks for the explanation of how the unit works and why you would use it.
Nice video, it answered my questions. btw. super beautiful model and I love that you wear a mask! Keep Safe!
Thank you so much sorry again for the mix up
Like you said at the beginning of the video.... something I won't buy, but that is so impressive, and while it's not in use...... weight training 💪🏋
Yea it’s totally understood as a top end rental piece

What about using it with high speed sync and a higher shutter speed?
Could it handle burst like A1 (30fps) did for full power/10 at max 1/8000s? Thanks
same question. Wonder if sony limit this 3rd party flash fps to 12 or 13 fps.
Marisa was twirling through the scene Seth, twirling 👗😆😆😆
Does it come with jumper cables?
Nope, that's extra
Pretty
Shiny... well not really it’s pretty matte with is awesome
@@LastXwitness what are you going to to with all that power?
Shoot zombies in the dark and make a short movie out of it.
Where are the results?

They have come a long way from the Acutes!
Other brands should study their UI/UX design
I think I'm more interested in t.1 not in t.5 :)
Yea I actually realized I said it backwards after the fact apologies
That intro was everything. Nope. Not gonna buy. Gonna watch it anyways. 🤪
no individual is supposed to buy it... it's for rental.
you stole the girl from Daniel! Lock the doors, calling the cops. Thanks for the demo.
Didn’t see the images, shame!

For good measure, if you want to kill the ambient and have the money, buy by a Hasselblad 😂. That way one have the cheap camera with the cheap pack 😂
Do you have a link to the dark web so I can sell my kidney and maybe my firstborn so I can afford this? C’mon, help a brother out.
