    I hope your battery never runs down, MD. We would all be the poorer for it. Nice bits and pieces of knowledge.

    great video!! The Pro7a packs are amazing. The heads are still expensive and hard to find though. Great video!

      Well the good and bad news is you can find heads new, and if you planned on growing the system that is not a bad thing. I have found that I keep an eye out at B&H and Adorama's websites for their used gear. I know Ebay has stuff too, but I prefer to go through a store.

    Did the same, but didn't go so far back in time. I picked up a used Pro-10 pack and a ProHead. Totally agree that the flat-face monolights are great for travel and work will with certain modifiers. But they're no match to a pack & head system across Profoto's full line of modifiers. Pack heads have an exposed flash tube that do a much better job filling larger modifiers. The flat-face units already have a built-in reflector that works well, but also limits its ability to fill a modifier larger than about 36-inches.
    Also a caveat on Profoto ProHeads... In 2023 Profoto changed the connector end on new ProHead production to meet EU requirements. The new connector still works with Pro-8 thru Pro-11 packs, but not with older packs. This also applies to old vs new ProHead extension cables.

      Thank you for watching, and they heads up on the older pack to new head connection. At this point, I will probably be buying a 8A in my future, but that is about as far I would need to go.

    Great video!
    I just did the same thing - I traded my B1’s for a D4 pack since my projects have been more studio than location lately, and the recessed tube of the B1’s wasn’t optimal for larger modifiers.
    I kept by B2’s and have a Bron Move pack for location work still, which has been plenty for me.

    Great video! Thank you for the knowledge of these pack. What kind of cable does it need to sync the pack with air sync?

      Thank you for watching. You need a phono plug, to mini phono. So think large head phone jack to small headphone jack. I would buy two, so you have a backup.

    I'm sorry to ask, what was the tag on this kit in the US?

    can i use my profoto acute ABS heads with this pack?

      @PhotoKitchen425  10 месяцев назад +1

      No, you can only use Acute heads with Acute packs.This pack takes "Pro" heads. You can plug Acute heads into a D4 pack, which has Air remote function, but even used, is very expensive.
