Great skating as always dude! I find the Genesys US 8-9 shell to fit a bit better than the US 8-9.5 SL shell with Intuition Premiums in US 9-9.5 for me. I also use a Superfeet Hockey insole and do not use the Intuition heelpad shock absorber in Razors skates. The SL toebox is just a bit lower and causes pressure where as the Genesys is quite tall and roomy which works out better if you use an insole. I cannot use Intuitions in the Razors Shifts because of that very low toebox. Definitely only can use the Reign V3 or maybe Myfit 2nd Skin in that shell.
I'm skating the 6-7 shells for the SL and Gens. I have a pretty narrow heal, but a bit wider foot near my toes, so the SL has been a perfect fit for me! Seems to me, that razors has a formula, each skate they make is aiming for a specific type of foot shape. I personally think all of their skates are good, it's just a matter of finding the one that matches your foot type best!
@@THEBLADINGCODE Definitely! and I actually have been enjoying the Cults most so far. I like the classic look and the fit is great in both the US 8-9 and the US 10-11 shells interestingly. The 8-9 I can comfortably get a medium Intuition V2 inside with only a Myfit 3/4 length insole for some arch support or I can use a Myfit 2nd Skin and both feel great. In the 10-11, even though the shell is pretty big, I get my 9-9.5 Intuition Premiums with the Superfeet insole and that also feels super comfortable. It's not as precise as the smaller shell of course but experimenting with fit is always interesting.
@Martz604 I DEFINITELY always go for the smaller shell if I can. It helps my switchup control having a shorter shell! I skated 8-9 in EVERYTHING for so many years, and just recently learned that with the correct liners I can downsize in alot of skates which changed my entire perspective on alot of brands including razors!
Yeah liner technology has really changed a lot but being so new to aggressive and other blading in general, it's exciting to try so many innovations. Intuition liners completely changed the way I thought about how skates could feel. I'm a huge fan!
hola! molt explicatiu el video. volia preguntar si saps perquè serveixen els ganxos que porten darrere el talons. és per posar una cinta per penjar-los? això penso, però no ho sé... gràcies pel vídeo
I am unable to skate a 10-10.5 gene as its not wide enough at the toe box but a 10-11 sl fits are the gens just wider in the heel but narrower at toe box
How do you feel about these as a newbie's setup? I got these back in May and got Compass 80mm frames for weekly cruising meetups, eventually I'll put the 50/50 frames back on once I'm confident enough to hit parks and rails. Since they're my first ones ever, I dont really know what I"m missing out on, but most of the other skates I've tried on felt too narrow for me while these felt good, but I hear you when you say they're a bit chunky, haha.
Definitely nothing wrong with starting out with a pair of these. Any razors for that matter are perfectly fine to start in. 👌 I prefer the SLs over the Gens, because the SLs have a slimmer outer feel while still having a wide toe area for me. So maybe once it's time to get a new pair of skates look into those. BUT gens will work just fine for you even if they feel a bit clunky for a while
Nice. I customized my murda skates with plates back in the day
