I got these switches with my Dygma Raise keyboard a few years ago as recommended to me by Dygma since I'm typically a brown switch fan. They are stiff and somehow soft at the same time, bump is very high and I find light. That combined with the stiffer press took some getting used to but now I enjoy typing with them. Short to bottom out, I find I don't tire typing as much as I thought I would with their stiffness so I guess the speed does have some effect :) Still using the factory switch, never lubed, very consistent switches.
Try out the new version of these switches, the Kailh Super speed Cooper ... they come pre-lubed. I'm using those new switches and are different from these. Congrats on your channel and your reviews!
I'm building my first custom keyboard (Glorious gmmk pro) and I will be using these switches for gaming and everything else. Thank you so much this helps a lot!
I think one of the flaws with sound tests is that it assumes everyone bottoms out their keys. If someone is getting silvers, they're probably have a light touch and only wish to tap the keys instead of pressing down. It's hard to find a video on silver keys where they're being used in a manner that someone who needs them would use them so it might be useful to others like me in the future.
I disagree!I can realy tell the difference between red and silver switch latency wise in fast fps game where you have that mechanic of double clicking the wasd button to dodge for example in UT4!Not just that also when wall sliding the silvers tend to glide longer without a problem and stick to the wall faster. It's incredibly difference actualy!
For me, it's the perfect sound of raindrops- and you always know that no matter how you throw your finger at the key, it's going to both depress and let you know.
This looks like the perfect switch for me. I like chiclet and my rubberdome keeb. To be precise: I like how there is „no pre travel“ just stiffnes until actuation force is reached and then the switch rushes down to be activated. The speed copper seems to be similiar.
1:18 As someone who's gotten the chance to test Cherry speed silvers, browns, and Akko ocean blues, I can say for sure that speed switches *do* increase your gaming potential... but only if you're already good. They won't make up for a fundamental lack in skill, but they will get you from 90% to 100% if that makes sense. Thank you for the helpful review! The data around speed coppers is inconsistent at best- some sources say they're 45gF, some say they're 40, and some say they're 50. I'm personally looking for light switches as the Akko ocean blues I'm currently driving are too heavy for my taste so 40 is ideal for me!
@@KeebNews Think it depends on the type of games. If you are trying to spam a single button as fast as possible even I can notice a significant difference in speed. And since I have been testing out various switches for an arcade stick, where mashing as fast as possible in old school games is of chief concern. I am thinking tactile speed switches might be the best button mashing switches available. As the tactile switch seemed to help my mashing, and the speed switch definitely helped my mashing. So theoretically these should be exactly what the docotr ordered. Granted I don't think I would ever want a keyboard with speed switches as I feel like I would be constantly bumping and activating the wrong buttons. But for giant 30mm arcade buttons, speed switches are a no brainer.
What's your favorite TACTILE switch of all time?
Durock Sunflowers

How wound u compare if coming from Cherry MX Brown? I like a defined tactile bump but not necessarily the click sound
I built a board with these and absolutely love them.
Do they seem super scratchy to you?? I just got them and I'm disappointed, the "bump" is more like you just got a switch full of dirt.

I use these on my keyboard. They're really good
Are they really tactile? They sound so linear
