Leia: Alderaan is peaceful!
Tarkin: It will be. It will be.
It did become peaceful for good.
@@paulstephensia1412
And led to a war over it's destruction. It was the spark that led to the Rebellion kicking off into full swing
If something never had something unpeaceful, then it's jarringly unnatural and thus worser than evil. Alderaan was lucky to not be a victim of such an alienating concept.
A shame such a beautiful and carefree planet had to be snuffed out, while slobbering and sinful Coruscant still lives despite every attempt to snuff it out too.
Coruscant died long ago, its just a matter of time before the cancer of the underworld starts growing faster than the surface
@@ImmaSpam__________________Can The bloody underworld will just put it on life support, so it's too kind. No, I want the proverbial Mount Doom treatment!
I don't think all those on Alderaan that suffered during these long conflicts feel very lucky after all that.
Also, we're just 24 hours away from the endgame on a certain Isles that is Boiling. I hope you're ready.
Coruscant exists out of SPITE I SWEAR
If you think Coruscant is bad, look up Nar Shadaa, an ecumonopolis controlled by the hutts.
Guess they don't call it Star WARS for nothing.
Imagine telling the story of humanity but only about the conflicts.
*Looks at the Warhammer series*
Humanity's history *is* mostly conflicts.
I think telling the star wars galaxy humanities history of earth, the innovation that it went through, the challenge, the endless bloodshed, military genius and changes as the times changed. Media and literature especially. I think it would be something to ground them and use as a base for a lot of things.
Maybe that's why The Empire blew it up
“Y’know what? They’re just running around shooting each other down there, better lay the Death Star upon these rebel scum…”
...No, what the fuck? Why would you think that???
No. For retalyation because Princess Leia was a Rebel.
@@panos617 do you actually think that’s how the word is spelled my friend
Lmao originally I was thinking of onderon and was like wait did I miss them blowing it up?😭
Tarkin: Enough of this! Tell us where your secret arms factory on Alderaan is and we will blow up your planet!
Darth Vader: Don't you mean "or"?
Tarkin: Tell us where your secret arms' factory on Alderaan is OR we will blow up your planet!
Leia: Well, which is which? Both seemed like a crucial conjunction?
*Tarkin groans in frustration* Tarkin: That's it! Men, concentrate all fire on Alderaan!
Imperial Officer: 'Concentrate all fire on Alderaan', sir? Are you kidding? This planet looks masterfully craved with valuable resources and-
Tarkin: I don't care, you fool! Now open fire!
Imperial Officer: Y-Yes sir! *Alderaan blows up*
Original Trilogy: Alderaan is a peaceful planet
Old Republic: I’m gonna pretend I didn’t hear that
The old republic trooper is one of my favorite soldiers
Same here, in my option they are way better soldiers then the Clones of the Grand Army of the Republic and the Stromtroopers of the Galactic Empire.

Those old school republic special forces troopers were badass
For centuries, Alderaan stood as a beacon of hope in the Republic. But the Empire came, and with one savage strike, brought Alderaan to her knees. Now, time is running out as few are left to face the enemy. For those that remain, there is but one choice. We must fight-to victory, or death-for the Republic!
While the sacrifices are heavy, we fight knowing that a single spark of courage can ignite the fires of hope, and restore peace across the galaxy.
Then there's me over here taking imperial credits to haul wookies.
That one old republic trailer is the forbidden pre🔥🥶
I wish the Clone Wars show showed us more of Alderaan so we would actually feel something when seeing it destroyed.
A wasted opportunity.
They probably would have if Disney didn’t cancel it for rebels
The Cold War between the Republic and the Sith Empire brought entire worlds into a very dangerous situation where many of them went into civil wars, and in fact the Great Galactic War is very similar to the Clone Wars as several hundreds of thousands of planets loyalists were tested and led to many civil wars.
And of course, there was all that stuff with the Killiks
Ant People, i assume?
Former swtor Progress Raider Here. Alderaan was one of the best if Not the best Planet to visit. Would Love Videos about Belsavis and the Sith Plague, If you havent already done them.
Jesus, for a planet nicknamed "Soul of the Galaxy" it's been through hell. Now I'm thinking that Alderaan getting blown up by the Death Star was basically an mercy kill.
To be fair during that 100 years of bloody conflict, darkness and destruction that encompasses rhe great galactic war, cold war and war against the eternal empire, a lot of planets in the star wars galaxy didn't get a break like Aldereen and suffered many dark decades of civil war, oppressive rule or renewed warfare on or around them, that left them devastated before the eternal empire invasion added to their turmoil.
More to the point, Alderaan was obviously a secret rebel world, supplying the Rebel Alliance and fielding out its first fleets.
“While some view the attack as unwarranted the Empire has obtained proof that Alderaan was in possession of weapons of mass destruction.”

(in Family Guy)
Leia Organa was quite the WMD
tarkin reduced the unemployment rate to 0 though. he did them a solid.
And solved the homelessness and world hunger crisis too. What a humanitarian Tarkin was.
😂 Oh how I love sarcasm
Great vid Geetsly's. Great work on discussing the lore of Alderaan in Swtor.
Love your guys’ content! Keep it up!
Alderaan, Naboo and Scarif are my favourite planets of the Star Wars galaxy.
More bitter words never spoken: Alderaanian Civil War
I like these videos on planets and moons during the Old Republic. Maybe you could do on about Balmorra, Hoth, Belsavis, Ord Mantell, or Corellia
Agreed, please do a vid on Ord Mantell.
Heh, had to watch this vid three times to hear the narration. I keep getting so engrossed by that fantastic battle, I kept zoning out from the monologue.
Thanks again Geetsly's!. :)
1:53 what a glorious campaign
where it not for that meddling Jedi Alderan would have been one don the greatest victories in sith history second only to the sacking of Corisant the sight of the Jedi temple crumbling in flames
While we're generally on the Republic's side, we can't deny that those things certainly brought a smile to our face.
Behind every utopia, it hides a dark side.
Could u do a video on what it was like to be frozen in Carbonite? We see it happen In Empire Strikes Back, but what did it actually feel like from a person who was frozen?
I believe they already did actually.
@@garrettlittle1279 oh true, I should have searched for it before commenting this lol
So basically Alderran is like Japan, peaceful and wealthy now, Game of Throne level civil war (The sengoku jidai) in the past
In a nutshell.
The old republic era was a terrible time to be on alderaan.
Better then.then things just got blown to pieces.

🤔 . . . Honestly, I’m more curious about the founding days of Alderaan. Were they peaceful or bloody, in regards of who ruled the planet & such shortly after its initial colonization & such…
You have to have played SWTOR to understand why Tarking chose THIS place for his demonstration.
*Happy Rist assassin noises*
What is the background music that starts at 6:58?
I am wondering the same thing myself
Maybe you can the history of some other planets in the SW universe.
Gotta love succession crises.
Can you do a video on the Sun Guard?
...didn't the end of the prequel trilogy suggest that Alderaan disarmed in response tot he rise of the Empire?
The Senate took great pride in destroying this war-ridden planet.
As soon as you hear the word “indelible” you know they used chat gpt
Not just affluence. But wealth. ( alderann)
Funny I was watching. ( hope ) again yesterday. ( god knows how many times . I never get tired of it )
Could have shown actual Houses instead of replaying the trailer.
You did not include the wars vs the killiks
I introduced the best betting platform to my Landlord last week, as am talking now we're both tenants 😹🤔
SWTOR!Alderran is all a simulation based on historical documents of a dead world.
0:08 what do you mean, by blowing up Alderaan the Empire reduced unemployment on the planet to 0… then again, Alderaan doesn’t sound like a planet with unemployment issues anyways
❤❤
👍👍👍👍👍
Alderaaan seceding?!
Based and secessionist-pilled.
This is Canon for me!
Bespin
SWTOR is elite storytelling, the Alderaan story is fantastic (but always drags in a playthrough, its just poorly placed in the progression)
Anime toyline to these old Star wars past including the wars during the Star wars books they would make a lot of money faceing off the toy line on the characters from the Star wars times the Republic before the Battle of yavin!.
Well at least now the unemployment rate is at Zero
Nar shadda
Gonna show this to imperial loyalist to justify it’s destruction
By that virtue, you can use all of the Empire's atrocities to justify its own destruction.
