This was very insightful to make this video, things your teacher should have told you, but didn't. "how to learn", the ultimate tool for guitar players.... brilliant, I am ready for private lessons with you... if you can tell me how to make more time to make better use of, and Ill really start to get good.
Have been working hard on a tune off of Dave Gilmour’s first solo album named Raise my Rent. Been at it now for a couple of months. I am now half way thru the solo. It’s going to take a bit more time to learn the rest. I have been taking the solo in chunks and making good progress. After I learn and have all of the phrases committed to memory, I am going to work on fitting the phrases to the chord progression. Any advice you can offer would be appreciated. I now understand Captain Ahab’s outlook a bit more clearly..lol
Awesome! I call this the "stacking technique". A solo should be learned in 3 phases - note aquistion - timing - technique I'll do a video on this, I'm sure others would want to learn as well. Great idea, stand by!
