Ultimately he’ll probably have to fight Whittaker first because he does not have the Dana White privilege that guys like Izzy have.
DDP/Adesanya is the money fight for 185 right now. Imanov, Allen, Cannonier, & Whittaker are booked, plus Strickland is not medically cleared. There's no one else available.
The thing is: With all the lower level guys the UFC just cherry picks what they want: no workers rights and unions, but still complete exclusivity and minimal room for negotiations. The very top guys just somewhat behave like real free contractors, because they are not completely dependent on the UFC anymore
The reason there is so much inactivity is because being active is risky and waiting around often pays off. There's no competitive architecture or clear system of merit; it's all just based on other fighters winning and losing and on how Dana White randomly feels about you at any given time. If the UFC properly rewarded people for being active, people would stay active. If the UFC punished champs and other top fighters for sitting on in the sidelines, they would stop sitting around.
Honestly, they should force fighters to fight every 6 months or year (without injury) or vacate the belt or something. If Jamal wants heavy weight, why not give Tom Aspinall, Jamal.
It would be a dream come true to be in the ufc or another big promotion, I’d take as many fights per year as I can, more money & more bread on the table, fighters complain that ufc pay sucks but only fight once per year, crazy.
Glad Sean’s African American status was acknowledged but he really doesn’t need to be fighting Bobby, he defended his #1 contenders spot when his title was robbed from him
The face cam is unnecessary. If you decide to keep doing it, could you at least sit further away from the camera. Your face is too close, staring the viewer down. It makes me uncomfortable 😂 Great video as usual 👍
Ive no problem with people not taking fights they don't want to. But they shouldnt be able to do that while holding gold. If youre a champ you should be actively fighting contenders/interims. If you cant/wont do that, drop the belt.
To be a bit fair to Leon, i think it was more Colby and the UFC's fault of not announcing and finalizing fights. I wouldn't fully blame him either. Colby didnt deserve it.
Same thing with Islam & Gaethje, once gaethje won the bmf he basically solidified himself as the #1 guy outside of olivera, & he didn’t want to stay inactive like Islam that he defended his bmf & lost
Besides what you've said, I'm not sure how you're failing to mention that there's also more fighters now. UFC has become more mainstream now than ever, and we have a larger pool of fighters too. Inevitably the UFC is going to struggle with booking and trying to make all fighters fight all the time. And saying Israel Adesanya doesn't deserve a title shot is straight up ridiculous.
Leon inactivity is a bs narrative. Go look at the time between Leon’s defenses so far and Usmans. 7-8 months average except for the 2nd Jorge fight. Leon is fighting on pace and even tried to fight at 300 but they didn’t even offer him Belal and the other 4 opponents he said yes to all per Dana
Money talks, pay these fighters on a healthy salary, allow them to preform their own camps and as a Manager set their paths and fights out for them, if they don’t like it kick rocks.
A champion fighting twice a year is ok and is the standard. Though anyone of them who could fight 3 times a year like Alex Pereira is going to is great

Leon got smoked lol 😂
DDP/Adesanya is the money fight for 185 right now.
Imanov, Allen, Cannonier, & Whittaker are booked, plus Strickland is not medically cleared.
There's no one else available.
Jon the duck jones must be stripped
I even forgot that Leon is champion
Leon is, scratch that, was the most boring champ ever
Theres needs to be a solid rule on champions with a 6-8 month periods between a fight. Otherwise an interim champion will be declared
Glad Sean’s African American status was acknowledged but he really doesn’t need to be fighting Bobby, he defended his #1 contenders spot when his title was robbed from him
If Sean was African American then him and Chris Curtis would still be friends
The face cam is unnecessary. If you decide to keep doing it, could you at least sit further away from the camera. Your face is too close, staring the viewer down. It makes me uncomfortable 😂 Great video as usual 👍
Anshul Jubli from India also missing since October
He went back to the call center lol
Every delay that you mentioned has stemmed from undeserving title shots.
6:30 "African-american sean strickland" ????
DeSean Strickland 👑👑
Welterweight has had some crazy ups and down, tbh I only really like wonder man in the division and he's nearly as old as steep
Bro Izzy hasn't fought in 11 months and that's the longest in his entire combat sports career but comes back before even Jones and Conor.
Thats crazy
Love your channel man but gambling and sportsbetting is extremely destructive.
Spitting some facts right there
There’s a turinabol shortage.
It’s just gas station dick pills bro
Ive no problem with people not taking fights they don't want to. But they shouldnt be able to do that while holding gold. If youre a champ you should be actively fighting contenders/interims. If you cant/wont do that, drop the belt.
To be a bit fair to Leon, i think it was more Colby and the UFC's fault of not announcing and finalizing fights. I wouldn't fully blame him either. Colby didnt deserve it.
Same thing with Islam & Gaethje, once gaethje won the bmf he basically solidified himself as the #1 guy outside of olivera, & he didn’t want to stay inactive like Islam that he defended his bmf & lost
we hate jon joke jones
Bro went from contender to pretender
That's an amazing name for him 😂
Besides what you've said, I'm not sure how you're failing to mention that there's also more fighters now. UFC has become more mainstream now than ever, and we have a larger pool of fighters too. Inevitably the UFC is going to struggle with booking and trying to make all fighters fight all the time.
And saying Israel Adesanya doesn't deserve a title shot is straight up ridiculous.
Guys are either afraid to lose so they want to pick and choose (like Jon Jones) or they want that bag for a super fight in a champ/champ fight.
Makes you appreciate Usman and Adesanya more... or just Usman because he was more exciting
I truly believe when Anderson silva got knocked out against weidman ufc went with him...
Money talks, pay these fighters on a healthy salary, allow them to preform their own camps and as a Manager set their paths and fights out for them, if they don’t like it kick rocks.
Imagine Stipe wins then immediately retires. Thats the dark timeline
90% you speak is what I think so salutes to you bro! No suck up, straight truth 🫡
Favorite M.A channel for a bit now🔥
“Shavkat will be the guy to take down leon edwards”
* HERE COMES BELAL *
The amount of wasted athletic prime is just sad....
07:02 u called it TJ!
Tj literally never acknowledged Belal potentially winning and he’s the ufc champ now 😭 time for shavkat to take down this beast
This is why Dane White is against paying fighters too much.
A champion fighting twice a year is ok and is the standard. Though anyone of them who could fight 3 times a year like Alex Pereira is going to is great
Is that force of nature playing in the background ?
What part of the word “injury” do yall not understand. Where was this same argument when Dom Cruz got injured and was champ. Y’all gotta think sometimes
Whats crazy is that these "underpaid" UFC fighters can go full year without a fight, are you really that underpaid?
For the amount of brain damage they receive I say yes they are still underpaid. Unlike other sports they don’t even receive any benefits because they are contracted worker not actual employees. But go off son
The underpaid guys aren’t the ones fighting once a year
Why? Because top fighters aren't dumb. They know skill & luck played a roll in their career.
They're milking it for everything.
Look at conner he went from a mind blowing superstar to just a star . The aura is gone and that 75% of the fight game and what ufc trys to sell you
