- Dan Snyder's tumultuous tenure with the Washington Commanders is officially over. In 1999, the Washington franchise Snyder purchased was one of the NFL's marquee teams with a storied past and rabid fanbase. But in the ensuing 24 years under his stewardship, the franchise's status and reputation have sunk to the point that he and his wife put the team up for sale in November. He'll leave a legacy of on-field futility and off-field scandal.

Ima Washington fan.. and haven’t had anything to root for my entire life, I don’t know what winning feels like. But today I’m getting a taste of it. For all the true fans that stayed down, our day is coming. 24 years of wandering in the desert. It will all be worth it 🙏

I will love to congratulate every single commanders fans out there as a Seahawks fan i will love to say you are finally free the day has finally arrived it's time to rejoice and celebrate Dan Snyder it's out of the building. Josh Harris and Magic Johnson are in now to restore back the football team.
As a fan of DC, I have to remind you that the Seahawks crushed our one miracle season under Snyder's rule. Not only did you beat our team in that playoff game, you damaged our QB of the next 10 years, permanently. This isn't me blaming Seattle. RG3 was reckless and so was ownership for letting him play. I'm just stating that hearing "Seahawks" gives me PTSD. haha But, thank you for the words.

Seattle was well on their way to getting their first ring when Russell Wilson was actually playing football and they had a legion of boom. As much as I cheered against them, they were to be respected then. Besides, Seattle recently beat the Eagles in a playoff game, which was nice too lmao. In the past, the Seahawks also handed Dallas probably their most embarrassing playoff loss ever with Romo and the botched snap lmfao. All's fair in war 🤷♂️ We bout to run this ish now tho 😉

I'm not a Commanders fan, however, I want to echo the sentiments of pretty much every NFL fan, but I am extremely happy for their fan base. You guys have suffered for decades under his incompetence, and his disgusting behavior. Hopefully, they'll be brighter days on the horizon. I think the fact that Magic Johnson is part of the ownership group is pretty cool.

I never liked this guy, something about Snyder always rubbed me the wrong way and I always believed that Washington would never do anything until Snyder is gone. He just saw the team as his own personal playtoy to make money and his way of doing things was completely opposite of what teams with winning cultures do. They build teams and have consistency of a winning culture from the top down, there was no consistency under his regime and the team paid the price for it on the field. Now than Danny boy is finished, maybe this will turn things around for the better.
