Nationals Park was designed to resemble the government office buildings in DC. Much steel and glass so it has a functional, modern, utilitarian look. Nothing really stands out about the exterior as good or speaks baseball. Other than #1, this video was spot on. I agree with every point you made. Nicely done DG! One thing I noticed was several of the stadiums could use a good power wash! Wrigley Field looks way Awesome Kauffman has this really cool spot where you can see the scoreboard from the parking lot One thing I think should have been mentioned is the train station built into Minute Maid Park. It’s beautiful on the outside and an original building, not some faux building. Lights on and exiting Citi Field at night in the summertime... then hopping on the 7 train just in front ... very cool. Citi Field's exterior was modeled after Ebbets Field. Where can I find that chart you are showing with the ballparks, Thanks DG. Surprised that you selected the Marlins' park as #1. Not that it is bad - I do think it's a top 10 exterior design for ballparks. Sure, it's not traditional but it looks like a cool venue to go see a game at. On Yankee Stadium, it should be mentioned that it is designed as a tribute to the original Yankee stadium, many of the design elements came from that original park. I do think you were a little rough on Comerica, I think it deserves to sit a little higher on the list above some of the ones you put above it.
I like Angel Stadium's exterior with the giant bats/helmets more than Dodger Stadium's exterior...but oh well I feel like I can’t separate the exterior from the area around it. Citi Field has a decent exterior but is surrounded by a sea of parking lots, which is especially ridiculous with it being in a city where the majority of the people don’t own cars. Wrigley, Fenway, and Yankee Stadium are in actual neighborhoods where people live. 8:25 pm The main entrance at Camden Yards is over by the warehouse. Not behind home plate Being a bit harsh on Anaheim Stadium. The helmets, baseball diamonds, and bats are great. Also, the landscaping, which you can see from the outside, is nice. Dodger Stadium is built into a hillside. All you can do is landscaping. And why do you keep saying it’s hot there? Maybe on a Sunday, but what about the other 6 days of the year? It’s absolutely perfect weather for any summer night. Might be a little cool in April, but night games are rarely, if ever hot. PNC Park stone blacks are Pittsburgh staple for The Carnegie Library and Museum, Court House, old historic jail, many other buildings, and even some bridge towers. It was chosen to match the city. The look of it with the arch windows etc and the toothbrush lights are from Forbes Field. A park should reflect the community. You want to just take pictures from a catalog. BTW you blew it picking the side to look at. Try looking at the park from across the Allegheny River. That is the planned show-stopper look. And no generic palm trees.
10:10 Petco Park is in San Francisco? I Must have moved it from San Diego since I was last there in May of '23 The exteriors you have ranked are pretty spot on, Ginger!! With all the bashing that Guaranteed Rate (Comiskey) Field gets, I'm surprised it made it into the top 20. I'll admit I think the outside looks like the exterior of a tall shopping mall. Tropicana Field used to have the largest mosaic in the world (depicting an ocean/beach scene) leading into the main entrance. But for no reason, they ripped it out and poured in concrete. PETCO Park is in San Diego, Ginger....NOT San Francisco. Might wanna edit that. Do the exterior of old MLB and NBA stadiums that no longer exist Globe Life should have been #28, it looks like a warehouse Have you ever done one of the best statues at MLB parks? Good video 3:35 You know the lights at the Coliseum are separate from the building because of earthquakes, right? Candlestick was the same way. Oakland Coliseum was redone before the Raider's return. I've been to Great American Ballpark I gotta have a hot take compared to you and say it is too low on this list. From my experience trust me it looks way better in person. sure it's not the best but at least it is better than the Trop or Angel's bland exterior gap imo is underrated it's not bad it's alright. Tropicana Field looks like an above-ground pool will be done next year next week Confirmed okay.

I guess what I meant is the people who go to the stadium in Miami usually have a lot of complaints and that's likely the reason they have terrible attendance even though they are knocking on the door of the playoffs. But you made a very fair point. I guess my point is:who cares about the exterior when the interior is what's most important to the people who actually matter? Would you rather ride in a car that looks good on the outside but it very uncomfortable on the inside or would you rather ride in a car that is ugly on the outside but extremely luxurious on the inside?

I have only been to two MLB stadiums that being Coors Field and T-Mobile park. Walking up to the stadium from lumen field I felt like a massive towering structure. The sounds inside the stadium echoed throughout and when you walked towards the ticket area you crossed through a winding path way to get trough the stadium, it was quite impressive. While T-Mobile Park dose a good job at emulating classic baseball design Coors Field dose it better with the perfect blend of steal and brick at the entrance. The whole experience of going to Coors Field is like a classic baseball experience more so than T-Mobile.

Especially HOK architecture. A lot of stadiums leave their regular construction gray concrete walls and never paint it over all the years they don't put cool designs into it nothing and like no statues whatsoever.

Before you get into the stadium it's a mess of parking lots that's shared by the Ravens, and the ballpark itself looks like nothing from the outside. I do have to say.. who cares? I’ve not met ANYONE who pays tickets to see the outside of the stadium. They should be paying to see the teams play on the inside, not any part of the stadium… only in the first 2-3 years of a venue opening do people go to see the venue.. they go to see the event.. So for teams like the A’s… I don’t care if they play their home games in the greatest place on earth… nobody will come because the team sucks… they have not tried to field a top teir team since they moved Mark McGwire out… The fans don’t want to pay MLB game ticket prices to watch a AA ballclub.
