I came across this channel because I discovered your website today. I truly love your insights and knowledge. I honestly can’t wait to binge on this channel. Much love and gratitude Brother 💕💫🤗
Thats an amazing insight. I can relate 2 everything you are saying and I feel deep down this is the truth. Part of my problem while meditating on this is that more and more I find myself kind of fading in and out of thre thought that I'm nothing more than the awareness. So it's like when a thought pops up, I say to myself I'm aware of this thought and that's who I am but somehow I get trapped in a kind of loop and it remains hard to keep pulling back from the thought and recognize I'm whats behind it. Does that even make sense? Thanks for posting this video, I found it very helpful. You put into words a technique I have struggled to articulate for ages.
It makes perfect sense, Ali. We fluctuate for a while. One thing that might help is that you say, "I'm nothing more than awareness." Our True Nature as infinite awareness is what created this entire universe. It is the totality of all that exists. Don't think of it as "only" or "nothing more", because all that exists is in reality This, infinite, limitless, eternal. It is infinitely more than the illusion of a separate, individual self. It may take some time to realize and experience this, but it sounds like you are well on your way. Keep it up. Thank you for commenting.
Summary the body and mind are not the true self. Identification with them causes stress and fear. Thoughts and language are absorbed from external sources and do not define personal identity. Consciousness is universal and extends beyond the individual, allowing for experiences of past lives and empathic connections. Letting go of attachment to the body and mind brings profound peace, happiness, and love. The true nature of consciousness cannot be identified or grasped, but it is freedom from the illusion of a separate ego self. Reminding oneself daily that they are not the body or mind can lead to the realization of their true nature. The truth of one’s being is always present, waiting for realization.
Just remember you can't realize that by just repeating it. You have to do inner work. Spiritual enlightenment. Do spiritual practices. Psychedelics help as well and meditation
So weird that I found this video after a shrooms trip which revealed to me that my body was completely separate from me. That it desired and craved on its own. That it was neither my mind nor me.
Yes, none of us are what we think we are. Realizing this sets us on the exploration to discover what we actually which will always remain beyond thought, but not beyond experience.
I do experience I am not the body/mind. That is my experience. What I am I cannot say, but it is definitely not limited to the body/mind or anything else. Yes, it has to move beyond the concept state before it can be understood and it cannot be understood with the mind.
It is not my purpose to convince you of anything. I only encourage you to ask questions and discover for yourself. For instance, if something is constantly changing, how can it be true? If it is not true, how can it be you? Which version of the body is you? The five-year-old body, twenty-year-old, thirty-year-old, etc.? Which one? The body that is sick or the one that is healthy? You have always been here as the body is changing. There is something about you that has never changed. What is that? That is what I am pointing to. When we begin to question what we have believed, we come closer to truth.
Thank you for this; I have a question plz. How aren't we our bodies? I see growth in our bodies not really changing, but growing . Yes mind can be changing as thoughts come and go but I don't see same for the body . My 2 year old body does not look like my 20 year old body, not because it changed into it but because it grew into it, but it's thesame body ,not a changed one as I can see...plz what do you have to say about this ? Thank you
Bodies from biological sciences perspective aren't really growing as we feel but do change in fact. A balloon grows while blowing gas into it, body is not a ballon but ongoing growth and dying (apoptosis) of tissues. We are the entity inside the field of the body who as this Master explained, falsely identifies with it due to false ego. The oldest tissues of our bodies are the heart tissues which last up to ten years long. Logically we can't be our bodies for the body flows constantly, wheres we are the constant factor uneasy about our inability of controling these changes. We our obviously nondual by nature opposed to the duality of the material ever changing world.
You cannot be aware of awareness in the same way you are aware of everything else. Awareness is what you are. Awareness is the subject. If you were aware of awareness, it would be an object of awareness and not the subject that is aware. You can be awareness and you are. You just can't be aware of it.
Not to argue, purely for my understanding, if you were to identify as your ego, your physical self, could you not be aware of your awareness in the same fashion that your awareness was aware of your ego? I feel personally, that the physical mind allows superior "awareness" in some more than in others. So are certain awareness's more superior also?
The mind cannot be aware of itself, let alone awareness. It is only aware of thoughts. We actually cannot be aware of awareness. We can only BE awareness, which is what we really are. That BEing is our awareness of awareness. But awareness itself is aware of everything else but awareness. While our attention is on the mind, thoughts, the body, anything else, awareness is distracted and cannot experience the pure BEing of ItSelf. @@ewancoe1632
Thank you for posting, I’m also challenged with the idea that “I am the heart” in my inquiry I ask myself “if the heart was taken away, would I remain?” And the answer I get is “no” I feel I will perish from existence without my heart so therefore I am the heart. Am I making a mistake here? If so, where in my inquiry am I mistaken? 2nd piece. : If the way we each experience consciousness continues after the heart ceases to beat, is that something we all just need to accept on pure faith or is there a way of inquiring into a greater truth with respect to that? Thank you for sharing your perspective in the video I plan to watch more of your content very soon.
When you come to the direct realization that you are not the body, not the mind, not the heart, then the death of the body, mind, heart really has nothing to do with you. It is not enough to believe this, or think it, or have faith in it. You must experience it. I cannot tell you how to do this. I don't know how it happened for me. A Near Death Experience helped, but it was not even that. In the state of Samadhi, body, mind, self, world, all drop away. What is left cannot be described or even thought. That is the direct experience of not being body, mind, self, or world, but something much more than all of this and yet not separate from any of it. When dealing with this truth, words can never be adequate. Somehow something in you already knows this. Be still. Be quiet. Allow your mind to come to rest. Leave all attention on thought alone. Here you will find the answer you seek. But it will not be in words or thoughts.
Since we are mostly mentally switched to our autopilot, how can we tell if we are experiencing our automated programs or it is our consciousness which is giving the suchness to what we are experiencing? That sense of I-amness, which is the closest to what consciousness might be -- is there, whether if we are coming from our mind, our body, or from our pure consciousness. The absence of thoughts only means inhibition of thoughts, not that they are not unconsciously at the source of our experience. As some 90% of our mental processes are unconscious, how do we know how much our field of awareness is "contaminated" by that gamut of the unconscious processing of reality?
When you are free of concepts, as you are in the experience of Samadhi, you do not experience a body, mind, self, or world. You are free of both conscious thought and unconscious thought. There is nothing to make a thought of or have a thought about. This is beyond I am because there is no longer an I. This is why there is nothing we can say about this experience other than to say what it is not. It is not anything it is possible to think. It is not a void, emptiness, everythingness, or anything it is possible to think or imagine with the limited human mind. It is entirely different. This is the true nature of existence beyond the illusion of the dream of a self and duality. We can't even say how it happens or how to make it happen. All we know is that it does.
@@NlightenmentForYou I am 78, have meditated for half century, have read over thousand non-fiction books on human nature, have trained blissfulness at will, have dropped eyeglasses, looking younger, haven't seen a doctor in 16 years, doing qigong; kundalini, self-hypnosis, other stuff. So when I go deep into meditation, I lose all sense of my body, my identity, I seem to be told some "cosmic secrets" which I cannot verbalize upon "waking up". -- Now, without a devoted practice, one cannot just shift into that state. It's almost like -- what's the use of our advertising a state which others may only admire from afar like a mirage, or a magician's trick, while finding no place of it in their daily life? By the way, if anybody would like to read some more of my thoughts on life, I am at Hub Pages website.
@@VladimirKaras-wj4eu That is why most of my teaching is without words at all. It is through silent transmission of this state. It is the same that Ramana Maharshi recommended as the only true teaching.
It was so fearful but at the same time so addicting to know this . Is it normal the first time I did this I felt like I was about to die …when I said I’m not the body I’m not the mind then after it felt normal . ? When I said it again
If my thoughts are not mine but the world's thoughts, and world consist of individuals like myself, from where did they get their thoughts if those thoughts also belonged to someone else, who also didn't have their own thoughts? And if I am "consciousness", then we start playing with words, because nobody knows what consciousness is.
Yes, nobody knows what consciousness is. Consciousness is not a thought or concept. We are consciousness and we don't know what we are, but that doesn't prevent us from being it. When thoughts no longer distract us, we realize our True Nature.
Is it true we don’t really have free will like Ramana Maharshi says? It would be such a relief if it were so but it really feels like I do have free will. Why is that?
If your consciousness is one with everything and universal, how can you identify what “your” past lives are? Why wouldn’t past lives just be every other previous life of a body or what have you? What’s attaching you to certain other lives in the past?
It's a way of speaking. We all are all bodies throughout all time including all species. The experience of a body in a previous time is an experience that happens to some of us to aid us in this body in this time. The experience of all bodies is undifferentiated so we can't make any sense of it. How do you make sense of everything at once? That is the experience of Samadhi, everything at once beyond all concepts of time and space. Wonderful and liberating, but the mind can make no sense of it so other than the experience that you are more than this body and mind, it has fewer practical applications. The experience of another body during another time shows you clearly you are not limited to this body and that your concept of time is not accurate in a more concrete way. Plus according to what the other body is experiencing we learn from that as well things that help us in this body and this time. But you are correct, everyone is that same body and all bodies. Certain people experience it if that is useful to them and they are open to experiences like that. I never asked for it and don't really know how it happened, but I am learning why. So yes, they were not my "personal" past lives because there is no person in reality, just the totality ultimately. The same can be said for this body that I experience now.
@@NlightenmentForYou I kind of hear what you’re saying, but I still don’t understand how any of this can be applied practically at all, especially if I’m moving through a life in this body. Also, why am I particularly latched to this body at this time? These are probably limited questions of my mind I assume, but still. It’s so hard to grasp if I can’t totally just leave this mind and body at this time, which it seems I can’t.
@@NlightenmentForYou also, doesn’t it scare you in a way if you’re beyond all bodies and all minds, and somewhat eternal and alone in all regards? I know some people have these “samadhi” experiences on some sort of psychedelic drug, and they’re torturous. They’ve transcended all space and time, and are in a sense eternal, but don’t feel free in any sense. It’s sort of a trapped circle of aloneness if that translates at all. I guess this is a contradictory question to my last one, but experiences like this that I hear freak me out as well. Thanks very much for responding to me by the way
What is consciousness, is it the creator of the universe? Is it the absolute thing that has no end? What if a catastrophe occurred in the distant future, for example, the collision of a planet in the planet Earth or the extinction of the genus Homo sapiens, will the reincarnation of souls continue
Wait you said- you don't have your own thoughts that's other people thoughts....it's kind of true but how did other people got thoughts in the first place _and if I am not my body or mind then why other people hates me? Whome they hates? It's mean they hates me, the real me?_
But I hate the idea of reincarnation, as soon as you mentioned reincarnation I became so mad And my mood switched I don't like it at all. Does it have an end or is it chaotic and random out of control with no end? For example, in this life, I am a man in other lives. Will I continue as a man or a woman in general? I do not like the idea of reincarnation of souls or the renewal of bodies, as it is an inevitable nightmare if it is scientifically true
It's fine if you like it or don't like it. It makes no difference. It's only important if you actually experience it. Then you know it is real. Otherwise don't worry about it. What does it matter what I say? What do you experience? Have you experienced previous lives? If not, don't worry about it. If you are supposed to experience previous lives, then you will. When you do, you will have a completely different thought about it. Be concerned about what you directly experience, not what you think. Nobody's thoughts about reincarnation are true. It is not one soul jumping from body to body. It is much more than this. It is more like we are already all bodies that exist, ever have existed, and ever will exist and that includes all species and not only on this planet and far more than that. At first, you may feel as if your individual soul was in this other body. It's normal to feel that. It is a misunderstanding of what people teach about it. Eventually, you come to realize that there is no individual soul, there is no individual person, there is no separation anywhere. There is only the totality of all existence. You may like this explanation even less. Again it is not important what I say. It is only important what you experience. If it is not time for you to experience it yet, assuredly you will not. If it is, you will. So pay attention to your own direct experience. You will get more information from that than what I say.
@@NlightenmentForYou thank you for you reply and for explaining it more I appreciate it yeah I just want to understand the reason is it a spiritual growth for example? If I did good in this life will I become something better next life and if I do bad things in this life I will become something bad in my next life thanks again for your explanation I really needed that ❤️🤝🙏
the proof is the direct experience. If you were your body, could you experience your body? You cannot experience what you are. You can only be it. You can experience your body, your feelings, your thoughts, so they cannot be you. Anything you can experience cannot be you. You are the experiencer, not what you experience.
No I have no problem if I will born As a man next time Never want to be born as a woman hell no and if that's the case Then it's really that's annoying the shit out of me
It is actually funny to watch characters of a dream telling about their experiences while they haven't any experience at all and telling stories that was never happened. There is no need to live through all the characters, it is not rational to construct reality in this way, the most elegant way to construct reality is to deceive just one mind that there are other conscious minds and stuff existing independently.
I am my body, mind, and spirit until I am no more. Nothing more nothing less. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust!

@@NlightenmentForYou Yours is a noble soul and a wise mind.
It was so fearful but at the same time so addicting to know this . Is it normal the first time I did this I felt like I was about to die …when I said I’m not the body I’m not the mind then after it felt normal . ? When I said it again
Is that normal
Just had the same feeling lol i think its normal
If my thoughts are not mine but the world's thoughts, and world consist of individuals like myself, from where did they get their thoughts if those thoughts also belonged to someone else, who also didn't have their own thoughts? And if I am "consciousness", then we start playing with words, because nobody knows what consciousness is.
Yes, nobody knows what consciousness is. Consciousness is not a thought or concept. We are consciousness and we don't know what we are, but that doesn't prevent us from being it. When thoughts no longer distract us, we realize our True Nature.
How do you know you are enlightened?
Thanks very much for responding to me by the way
Will this end my suffering please help i am just aware how long i have been suffering i wanna be happy
Only awakening from this dream of personhood can free us from suffering.
What is consciousness, is it the creator of the universe? Is it the absolute thing that has no end?
What if a catastrophe occurred in the distant future, for example, the collision of a planet in the planet Earth or the extinction of the genus Homo sapiens, will the reincarnation of souls continue
Great question. Perhaps this is going on already all over the universe..it's all you, since we are all "the one."

Wait you said- you don't have your own thoughts that's other people thoughts....it's kind of true but how did other people got thoughts in the first place
_and if I am not my body or mind then why other people hates me? Whome they hates? It's mean they hates me, the real me?_
Bro I don't want to be born again and again WTF WHAT IS THE USE OF THAT IDEA IT'S JUST ABSOLUTE madness 😫 It's a nightmare and A prison
If I did good in this life will I become something better next life and if I do bad things in this life I will become something bad in my next life thanks again for your explanation I really needed that ❤️🤝🙏
Sorry to point this out but in order to consume 1400 tons of food you would need to eat 95 lbs a day for 80 years. please correct me if i am wrong.

Is there any real proof that we are not the body?
the proof is the direct experience. If you were your body, could you experience your body? You cannot experience what you are. You can only be it. You can experience your body, your feelings, your thoughts, so they cannot be you. Anything you can experience cannot be you. You are the experiencer, not what you experience.
Yess there a proof when you experience out of body experience
No I have no problem if I will born As a man next time Never want to be born as a woman hell no and if that's the case Then it's really that's annoying the shit out of me
You played a meth guy. now you're teaching spirituality. interesting.
:)
Thank you.
thank you
