What Sadhguru is saying is --- who a person truly is, is beyond the body and mind. Who I truly am is beyond this physical body and mind. Involvement is his message, not attachment.

In the time it takes to watch this video, over 500 *million* cells in your body have died. Where do "you" feel this dissolution? The same goes with the mind. What we can say is consciousness as humans have it is an emergent property, and *any* introduction of "me" as a fixed self is a genuine illusion. Well the way I see it changed or not, even if you lose your memories or your personality it doesn't change the fact that you're still there. The brain being the control center I believe stores the memories and experiences of the individual entity that inhabits it, our experiences make us who we are personality wise so Alzheimer's takes that part away. Once the brain is gone the entity leaves the body because without the brain the body is useless. I believe we are neither but only the entity that inhabits it.

You are not your present. You are not your future. You are not your pain. You are not your trauma. The best words we have for it are that you are awareness, you are a soul that is watching and using and experiencing your body, thoughts, emotions, actions, etc. You will understand this if you can observe your body neutrally, observe your thoughts without judgement, observe your emotions with proper perspective, and describe them to yourself as if they are not your self, which they are not. Distance yourself from your body, thoughts, and emotions in order to get closer to the truth of what they are.

Lovely
If we are not the mind or body, then how does a disease like Alzheimers' effect an individuals conscious? Once the mind goes, is it possible to still be conscious and aware?
it doesn't affect consciousness at all, otherwise Alzheimer would simply be impossible
You are confusing the brain for the mind. Brain is physical, mind isn’t.
🙏🙏🙏
anyone can explain this plz
Where does 'mind' end and 'outside of mind' begin? Show me the line JJ...

I think therefore I am. I am because I can think. I can think therefore I can create thoughts. My thoughts are portrayed by the mind. Observed and chosen by me. Given life by my body. My body guided by me.
Good luck understanding that.
Namaste 🙏 ❤️

Shiva shakti meaning was the one of the last teachings to Parvati... You are not the avatar or identity... This was the purpose of shiva shakti ... There is no self no person wisdom ...
If he is not the body or mind, what is he? He is the breathe? He did not give a clear answer.
The Unified Awareness projected as the distortion labelled 'John Jacob' would see fit to recall the tale of the Hare & The Tortoise. It's not a race... Where are you headed?
You are not your body.
You are not your mind.
You are not your thoughts.
You are not your emotions.
You are not your actions.
You are not your experiences.
You are not your past.
