There was a couple bad tattoos this season. But nothing like some of the train wrecks of past seasons.

I was looking at that tattoo thinking I would be THRILLED to have that artwork on my skin exactly as it is. Crazy that someone was booted for that!

This is an all stars season so the tattoos are all pretty good

This week on Ink Master, you must carve a portrait into your canvas with a spoon then rub ink into it and hope it sticks.

Pretty insane seeing these „bad“ tattoos, just shows how insane the good ones are
I love that Tony was willing to go home because he didn’t want to fuck up his canvas’s family member with the fact he never did one before. But I also give him credit for trying. And as long as if the guy is happy with the tattoo given then I’m happy for him. For his first color portrait it isn’t bad but it isn’t color realism. And also Deanna’s tattoo wasn’t bad and neither was Hiram’s gecko. I’d wear Hiram’s tattoo any day over Holli’s capybara. And I support Holli and even I believe she should have been sent home over him.
Tony's portrait had some issues, but was not the worst of them - I don't think he should have been eliminated for it.
Deanna getting sent home was totally unfair
I heard the real reason that she went home early was because of her mental health, and so she wanted to focus on herself
Getting a portrait done in a show where the artist is exhausted and under a lot of pressure is nuts.
I like how dramatic they act when they get told to tattoo whatever it is they have to tattoo 😂

i got a tattoo from an ink master artist from an earlier season and she was telling me how the show is so overproduced - it’s like rupauls drag race but with so much testosterone

10:40 when they were close up on the snail, you can see multiple small blowouts and lots of spots where the color ran out of the outline. I’m very surprised it wasn’t pointed out (based on this short clip) but it was a cool illustration and if it was more solid technically, it would’ve kept her safe

I really enjoyed this season, even the eliminated tattoos were good. I also like the new judges, they seem more open to new styles. I've loved all the past seasons, but switching things up a bit makes this a standout season in my opinion. Hope to see more soon!
Some of the worst tattoos of this season would be one of the best ones of past early seasons!

I'm sorry. Holli's tattoo was my favorite vs. the other two. More color so more blending... The others seemed more simple

Katie was walking on thin ice for this whole season ... She was almost sent home in every challenge of the competition

I agree. I love Katie so much but there were some times that she should’ve been sent home before she actually did.
So the way I see it, getting on this show is a feat in itself. Just cause an artist goes home doesn't mean that they did a bad tattoo they just didn't do the best tattoo
They have definately gotten better artist over the seasons. The women especially improved. In the first few seasons, the women usually had way less experience than their male counterparts. It was unfair and annoying. Of course some dude who has been tatooing for 20 years will beat a girl who has only been tatooing for 4 years.

Edited to say how do you go to this show and not know there will be color portrait day???? You know it will be there, why wouldn’t you practice the skill you know you are weak in?? I wasn’t a big Jessie fan but at least h went home and practiced it and when he came back was as ready as he could be.

Bob is unrecognizable, he was way better looking with long hair. New Bob just looks gay. And I mean that in the literal sense.

Deannas tattoo looked so good. I love good packed in color, but that piece would have looked worse imo with more color in it. I think it was absolutely beautiful

The neck and face on Tony's tattoo are totally different tones, like it doesn't even look like the same person's skin. Respect tho for doing his best on a style that he didn't feel confident in.
Tony whining about not wanting to do things that aren’t his style is why he should NOT be an Ink Master.
That wasn't whining, that was fear at fucking up something with so much weight behind it. It's not a bad thing to be afraid and to openly talk about it and be frank with the audience that you are scared. I do think he needs to be able to do different styles, but it's not his "whining" or his having a favorite style he doesn't like doing stuff other than, for me it's him just not being able to hit those different styles.
@@MaxEllSibSwe I know they need to be able to deal with all types of clients but I really question someone's judgement if they go on ink master to get a very meaningful tattoo. Makes the stakes way higher than they need to be.

I think the artist chose a bad photo as reference. The face was a bit out of focus so it showed less detail than the arms and legs. He tatooed it accurately, but an acurate rendition of a bad photo will not win.
Really shocked Deanna’s was up there! I thought hers was so cool
I really liked Pon’s tattoo better than Katie despite all the technical flaws. I personally hated Katie’s design.

This season was ridiculous! The one who was supposed to win was Jean, but because of that silly judge where they put a former competitor together with the other judges, even more so one that went to the final of the Previous ink master with Jean and then others who participated to vote I saw the size of the lack of bias that was this season. It was ridiculous!
These artists have come so far. Watching the "worst" tattoo's and thinking to myself they are all pretty damn good!
i hate it when they send contestants home due to a choice the canvas made for their own body. Pon said himself that he wouldn’t have made the death moth that dark if it were his choice but the canvas wanted it that way. they should have focused more on his shaky lines, those antennas were enough to send him home.
this season was rough. bland judges and constant return contestants.

I am glad I’m not the only one thinking that. Gian should’ve won this season not DJ. DJ should’ve never come back after season 10. They should’ve brought back a different ink master winner instead of him.

This really makes me miss Chris as a judge even more :( He never cared about hurting anyones feelings when being truthful. Competition show judges are getting way too nice nowadays. I'm not saying come at their whole life but I can't be the only one who feels as if they're constantly beating around the bush and sugarcoating everything nowadays instead of giving people the truth.
Criticism doesn't have to be sour either though. The judges gave their verdicts straight to the point. "did not achieve realism" "the top half was incomplete" "the composition was incorrect" "the anatomy was incorrect"

Reality shows should have some entertainment factors and that’s why judges like Chris, Simon Cowell and Gordon Ramsay are so legendary and people quote them and miss them judging shows. These judges are some of the least memorable judges I’ve ever seen id rather have AI judges at this point

Man, I miss Chris Nuñez and Dave. Oliver was a great judge too but I totally get taking him off the show. Still wish we had our other guys though. I wouldve been just fine if Ryan Ashley took Oliver's place.
I like how, no matter what the challenge is, everyone has a million excuses. Either they’ve never done this style or the style is their expertise but they tried to do too much or the canvas was doing this or that. It’s like if someone trying out for a basketball team complained because they can’t dribble. Like, you should have expected it.
This season seems very wholesome. Like Weenie Hut JR of ink master.

I think they should do an all star season but don’t bring back people who have been on twice let other ones have a go. Also bring back the original judges there the ones that make it.

They have a new host because Navarro caught COVID-19 & he couldn’t be a part of production, Peck left from the show because of some issues that came up with him, I guess since 2 of the 3 judges left, the show decided to get a brand new set of judges

This season is so disappointing. It's not good without a live Dave Navarro. I don't like these judges and there doesn't seem to be a competitive edge amoung the artists.
11:00 Holli needs to go home for calling that slug a snail... Details matter... If Holli had left off the hair and made the skull more shell like it would have been the best.. Its the hair on the skull that just doesnt flow with the rest of the design
