I watched Toy Story 4 I don’t think it was a huge link to the rest 3 movies. I think personally the movie was made for us who grew up with Toy Story and about growing up and change. Very nice. Also I always though Andy dad passed away especially the way the mum was crying when Andy was preparing to leave college
