Doge take over a minute to settle a transaction at best, xrp settles in 3-5 seconds. The average cost of a doge transaction is over a $1, xrp less than a penny. Many professionals are working to make the xrp protocol better and nobody is doing that with doge. The majority of doge is owned by a few people. They wont hesitate to dump theiir bags on you to send the price to zero when they think the time is right. Basically, doge started as a joke and will remain a joke because it has no real utility.

@@davidanalyst671 I never said jt was an investment but although currencies aren't expected to increase in value they're expected to hold their value, something that is unlikely to happen if you dump trillions of it into the supply over the course of a year. supply and demand impacts the value of currencies too

If I had a legitimate use for it, then I'd own it. For example, to conduct illegal transactions, transfer money to people overseas who don't have traditional bank access, or to hide money from a soon to be ex-wife. But most magic internet meme money purchases are speculative at best, not for legitimate uses like those.

but hey, if you want to forego the credit card rewards and give them to your crypto middleman instead, while they charge you a fee for that privilege, feel free to do that.
