This whole family is full of heroes, honestly. The Mother's search and reaching out for any form of help and problem solving is amazing. Her dedication and duty and love is written on her sleeve. And the Father's honesty at folding at first but then his dedication "no. we're gonna take this journey together" and his hands-on attention to his daughter and helping her made me tear up. It was only a line or two but that kind of stuff is SO important. When tragedy strikes, it doesn't just happen to you, but also to everyone around you, and there are a good amount of people who can't handle that. I know my dad isn't the most emotionally available guy, so it's just really amazing to see a father step up like this.

I came across this as I was searching for some swimming videos with my Daughter. She is in a swim club and trains six times per week.
She actually assisted in the European Paralympics when they were held here in Dublin, Ireland a few years ago.
Anastasia (Tas / Nastia) is now such an inspiration to my Daughter, wishing her the very best in Tokyo.
I assume that the endless pool in the garage was a saviour during any COVID lock downs.
Both of us were in floods of tears, you are a wonderful organisation/people with hearts of absolute gold.
    Respect to you all.

Just seeing this I am very happy that she said she was disabled instead of handicapped. I have been disabled for over 30 years and have never called myself handicap. It is a metal image and she is going to go far with her disability just like I have. She was raised to not let anything stop her just like I was. She has the same mentality I had at her age when I was diagnosed my bone disease which was much younger than when she lost her sight. I have seen so many that said that they were handicap of all ages and if that is how they look at themselves then that is all they were ever be. They will never get over it.
