Imagine to be a sniper with just a 4x magnificer and snipe at close range. It looks like that the devs need to look into a dictionary to understand what a sniper actually is. It is really bad that you can't play as sniper in Stalker 2 because enemys doesnt render or spawn at larger distances and there is no sniper which work as intended.
You buy it at a trader, Its an assault rifle suppressor, No suppressor for snipers yet or atleast I haven't found 1 yet and I'm 50 hours into the game already
After several years of experience playing modifications of the original STALKER (G.A.M.M.A, Call of Pripyat - Gunslinger) I am very disappointed with the quality of this game. For some reason I expected that modifications for a 15-year-old game would be the quality bar for the developers. Deep weapon customization, like in Gunslinger (at the same time I like the small roster of weapons). More control over the weapon (different ways of holding, alternative sights). Night vision goggles, which were, damn, in the original game? Just google Stalker Gamma and see what incredible heights the modders have achieved based on a 15-year-old game! I do not insist on such things as a complex healing system, ammo magazines and a very specific crafting system with a huge amount of loot - let's leave that to the hardcore - but the rest should be by default. The developers literally have a community of fans, who show with their actions what they want to see in the game. And this is what makes stalker fans very different from fans of most other games. Fans don't just say what they want to see in a new game - they create mods and implement new features into old games, as if showing what they want to play. This is not an unfounded request or even just a reference - this is a ready-made mechanic that only needs to be copied and implemented into the gameplay.
The game is not finished, A-Life 2.0 isn't even operating correctly at the moment. So, to longtime fans there are clear setbacks. Fortunately, the devs are aware of many problems including the AI systems. As a someone who hasn't played a Stalker game before I'm enjoying my time & I'm trusting these devs to deliver. You have to remember these people made this game during a war, it's surprising the game even released in the state that it did.
The problem with your comment is that you’re not comparing the state of this game to the state of the original games. You’re comparing this to mods which this game will have also. But even with its flaws the game is really good, it goes to show that no matter how hard ppl work on something, ppl like you will never be satisfied
You can tell this guy lives for the immersion in Stalker. I have to say I agree, I have to lock in to character to play this because it’s just so good…I’m still fighting with iron sights man, really need to get a quality optic setup!!!
The stuttering is so noticeable, simply jumping from the tower in the beginning caused a stutter. How is it that none of these problems existed for the devs before releasing the game?
The Hell is this? Oh my, le me recap: The HUD looks like an asset, but isn´t the main point here. What is however is THE FARCRY INDICATOR In the OR Games there were noise and visibility indicators that were located in a lateral of the screen, they were a bit broken but that was part of the fun, the NPC´s reacted extremely agressive and hunt you down. I haven´t seen any of that in any of the gameplays, just Braindead AI at Ubisoft level But ey, Tencent Engine 5 Guys, buy for shiny graphics and animations (Not like the Modders have already topped them, not at all)
You can remove the damn hud if you want to, stop whining about something hundreds of games have done at this point. Plenty of people love the game so clearly it isn’t bad, you’re just angry at something no one else is

Even knowing the previous official releases had an easier combat and overall gameplay compared to Anomaly or Gamma, it wasn't THAT easy, my thoughts that is the result when ocidental corps money went in, so they made a game for a wider dumber community who only knows how to play with a hud full of indicators, farcry type enemy IA and a store full of shit skins to buy. Only hope is modder community have creative freedon to made anomaly/gamma 2 as it was the main reason the franchise still alive since the last official release.
Stalker 2024 game almost 2025 looks like crap after 25minutes i uninstalled, i have 4090... 7800x3d its crapiest game ever made. Game looks horrible and game play is very bad for 2025. games in 2012 had better effects and play game style more realistic. Even hl 2 is better.

Sometimes they do I’ve been rushed by enemies for not being quiet, the ai seems to be broken at the moment
AI is confirmed to be not working as intended. Devs said they are looking into a fix right now.
