  • Making it at home is actually very simple 😀 And this crisp, flaky treat loaded with nuts & cranberries is just what you need for your celebrations ❤️
    Made using the @bergnerindia Cento Springfoam pan and HiTech Giro non-stick Wok/ Kadhai. @Bergnerindia’s broad range of Cookware aids in uniform cooking, which enhances the food’s taste and texture. The products are PFOA free that protects from harmful chemicals.

    Method:
    Finely chop 1 cup of walnuts, almonds & pistachio each.
    Combine mixed nuts with 1/3cup melted butter, 1/2tbsp cinnamon powder & 1/4cup castor sugar
    Mix it up & add 1/2 cup finely chopped cranberries. Mix further & your filling is ready
    Now take filo pastry sheets & cut them as per the size of your baking pan. I’ve used @bergnerindia’s Cento Springfoam pan
    *One pack of 450g fill pastry has about 12-15 sheets which you can divide into half and you get 24-30
    Grease the bottom of your pan with melted butter
    Make sets of 3 filo sheets & butter every 3 sheets that makes one layer
    Start with 3 layers at the bottom which means 9 sheets. Followed by a generous layer of the nut mix.
    Middle layer of 2 layers of sheets which is a total of 6 filo sheets followed by a layer of the nuts mix
    Lastly 3 more layers of sheets on the top followed by butter. Don’t forget to grease with butter every 3 sheets
    Now score them into even squares with a sharp knife and bake @180*c for 30-35mins till it’s golden brown
    To make the sugar syrup, combine 3/4 cup water, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 cinnamon stick & 2 lemon slices in a pan. I’ve used @bergnerindia’s HiTech Giro non-stick Wok/ Kadhai
    Keep boiling till it reduces to half its quantity. Keep stirring frequently and scrape off the sides to avoid crystallization
    Cool it down completely & then add in 1/2 cup honey. Mix it up & pour it over the freshly baked baklava while it’s steaming hot. Top with more nuts
    Let it cool down for 2-3 hours & serve!
